I stood in front of my mirror at half past six that evening wearing a pale blue dress wondering if it was too late to cancel. What on Earth was I thinking saying yes to Ronnie Kray, oh wait, that's right I wasn't thinking.

I nervously look at the clock, 6:36. Oh God, even if I wanted to cancel I don't know how to get hold of him. I could always ring Violet but then she'll know I was standing Ronnie up. That's if she even knew about the date, was it even a date?

6:47, oh god. He'll be here soon. I'm glad Albie had to go out tonight, I dread to think what he would say about this.

As I walk out my bedroom door I hear a loud knock at the door. Oh Jesus, he's here. Maybe I can pretend I'm not home? That would work unless he was to run into Albie, he would mention the fact I was home alone tonight. God.

I was stood at the top of the stairs in my own little world for so long that I didn't realise the time ticking away until there was another loud knock at the door, this one a little more persistent.

I took a deep breath and walked down. The closer I got to the door the quicker my heart sped up. I swung the door open to see Ronnie standing tall in the doorway.

He looked me up and down, 'Er, hello there Lily. You, ermm, look very presentable this evening.'

I take a step towards the door and give him a timid smile. 'Hello, Ronnie. You're looking very handsome yourself tonight.' Oh god, did I just say that?!

As soon as I say that he looks down and takes a step back, I take this opportunity to walk out and close the door.

Ronnie gestures towards the car next to him where I can see a man in the drivers seat. 'Teddy, he's er going to drive us there. I'm er not too clever behind the wheel.'

'That's alright Ron.' I say as I take a step towards the car. He moves in front of me and opens the door, I slid in quickly as he shuts the door.

I watch him as he walks around the car and gets in. He doesn't introduce me to Teddy, he just nods his head and we begin to move.

We didn't talk in the car, Ron just stared straight ahead as if he was in his own little world. Instead of staring straight ahead I looked around the car, it was very shiny and expensive looking.

It didn't take long before we were pulling in front of the picture house. I could see Reggie and Frances waiting out front.

Ronnie gets out of the car and opens my door for me, I grab his proffered hand to lift myself out. As he shuts the door, I smooth out my skirt. He holds out his arm so I slip mine through, I can't believe how gentlemanly he's being.

As soon as we walk up to Reggie and Frances, she pulls me into a hug and kisses my cheek. 'Hello, Love. How are you?'

'Hello, Frances. I'm doing okay, thank you. How are you?' I say as I step back.

Before she can answer Reggie steps forward to kiss my cheek, 'Hello, Darling. You doing alright?'

I smile up at him, 'I'm doing okay, Reggie. How are you?'

He smiles back at me, 'I can't complain but then again who's listening?'

I give a little laugh as Ronnie clears his throat, 'Are we going to see a film or what?'

We decide on the new Carry On film, it was about an odd job company or something. Frances suggests getting some confectionary for us to eat beforehand but Reggie suggested we wait for the interval so that's what we agreed.

We decide to sit at the back of the room, I was slightly uncomfortable with this choice as these seats were known as the kissing row. Not too long after we settle the film starts.

We had just got to the part where Kenneth Williams is taking the monkey for a walk when I feel Ronnie put his arm around my shoulders. At first I'm a bit startled but then he leans over and whispers in my ear, 'I, er, hope this is okay. It's just, er, that's what Reg is doing so I assumed I should as well.'

I turn my head towards his slightly, 'No, ermm, that's okay Ronnie. I don't mind, it's quite nice actually.' He clears his throat and gives me a slight nod.

Ten minutes go by and I toy with the idea of leaning my head on his shoulder. Would he be okay with that? He only put his arm around me in the first place because Reggie was doing it.

I decided to go for it, worst he could do is move. I turn my head slightly and put it on his shoulder, he jumps slightly and tenses. I can see his head turn towards me. 'Are you, ermm, comfortable?' He asks with a slight cough.

I turn my head up towards him, 'I am, I hope this is okay?' He looks towards Reggie quickly and then nods.

As the film comes to an end, Ronnie squeezes my shoulder and moves his arm. I grab my bag and we all walk back towards the main entrance.

Reggie kisses my cheek again, 'It was lovely to see you Lil, you'll have to come to the club again sometime.' I smile up at him and agree.

Frances leans over and gives me another hug. 'We'll have to get together at some point without the men.'

'Oh absolutely.' I say whilst laughing.

After that they walk off and Ronnie once again gestures towards the car that I hadn't noticed was there.

Once again Ronnie openes the door and I slide in. As he's walking around the back, I look towards Teddy. 'Hello, Ronnie didn't introduce us earlier. I'm Lily.'

He looks into the rear view mirror and smiles, 'Hello lovely, the names Teddy but I'm sure Ron already told you that.'

Just as he says this Ronnie gets in next to me and nods towards Teddy. Once again he's silent during the journey.

Fortunately, it's not long before we pull up in front of my house. Ronnie gets out and opens my door for me again. This is starting to become a thing.

He walks me to the door and there's a small silence. He clears his throat and takes a step forward, 'I, ermm, hope you had a nice evening.'

I smile, 'I had a nice time, Reggie and Frances are lovely.'

He cocks his head, 'I suppose, er, I wasn't that good of company, I did notice how much you liked it when Reggie kissed your cheek.'

I take a step back, what the does he mean by that?

'Your company was fine Ronnie and as for Reggie kissing my cheek I never even thought about it. He's with Frances and I'm not that type of girl. Maybe since you asked me out, you should of been the one kissing my cheek and not your brother.'

Ronnie looks stunned at my outburst, I turn and unlock my door. 'I had a lovely evening Ronnie but I don't think it shall be repeated anytime soon. Thank You, I hope you have a good night.'

With that said I go inside and shut the door. I can't believe I said all that to him! I lock the door and make my way upstairs. I have a quick wash, change into my nightgown and get into bed.

Thank God it was Saturday tomorrow, I plan on hiding inside all day. I turn off my bedside lamp and I'm asleep within minutes.

Hello you lovely readers! I am so so sorry you've waited this long for an update but SURPRISE!

I started this story a few years ago and a lot of stuff happened in my life.

I recently decided on Wattpad to restart this book and of course I couldn't forget my lovely fanfiction.

I have re-wrote parts of every chapter so I suggest going back and re-reading this story.

I have also decided after about 8 years of being EdwardAnthonyMasenCullen1918 that I would change my author name. Twilight will forever be apart of my heart but I have grown out of it being my name.

I have also pulled a few books from my page and will probably pull the rest bar this and one other.

Updates will be a little slow.

I've envisioned Michelle Keegan as Lily, specifically her as Tina Moore.I love Michelle, she's so beautiful. I adored her in Tina and Bobby, she was amazing. If you haven't watched it I highly suggest it. The ending always makes me cry.
