I look up to the platform as I noticed something was up, I walk over to the opposite side and turn my head in both directions looking for some way up, the only way up is from the middle. I slowly move my way up, holding onto the middle panel before I jump onto the platform.

I frown once I see a corpse, well a skeleton. I could tell the person was once a female by some parts of the bone but why was she here? I notice a few objects on the floor, a photograph which has the back facing me, an old, slowly decaying black diary and also an old necklace.

I pick up the objects before I jump off the edge causing the two men to jump from shock. "We were calling you... we didn't where you disappeared too," I hear Nate almost scold me but I just ignore as I open up the diary.

"What do you have there?" I hear my father ask once he notices the object in my hands. I shrug and read the first page which had a name written on it, I raise an eyebrow once I read the last name... Sullivan. Sullivan? I don't believe a lot of people with the last name Sullivan manages to find the lost city.

I skimmed back to the first name, Leah. Leah Sullivan. Even though I didn't know much about my own mother, her name was Leah I recall my father telling me, I place my hand to my mouth as tears start filling my eyes, my mother found the lost city and that's why she left. I take a few deep breaths as I turned to my father who had a worried look on his face.

I didn't say anything but handing him all the objects I had found, I just watch as he looks at each individual piece, "Goddamn," He simply says as he looks into the diary. "This is what she was talking about?" I hear him whisper.

"What? T-talking about w... what?" I stutter as a tear rolls down my eyes, shaking my head not understanding what he is talking about, I feel a hand be placed on my shoulder, I turn to see Nate standing behind me, sending me a smile as a comforting gesture.

"Months before your mother disappeared, she was talking about some kind of hunt, treasure hunt but... I never realised she was on about this,"

"Marlowe was talking about something like this," I suddenly hear Nate spit out, my frown deepens and my eyebrow raised as I gesture him to tell me. "When I was talking, Marlowe was talking about your mother and she said about her looking for the city by herself and she found it,"

I move my sight somewhere else and smiled, my mother was here. I can finally understand my mother, with the diary, the picture but I knew what I was going to do with the necklace. My father was going to have that as a memory.

I nod my head as my father hands me the objects, I placed the photograph in the diary before I hand him to Nate, asking if he could look after it due to me not having any pockets, I whisper a thank you before turning towards my father.

"Keep it, you need something as a reminder as well," My father nods and puts it in his own pocket, sending me a nod as a thank you, I pull out my gun from my trousers and drifted between the two. "Let's go and stop these two,"

None of us says another word and heads out of the building, leaving my mother's skeleton there to rest. we follow the bridges until we reach an old turning mechanism. "Give me a hand with this," My father asks Nate, who nods and runs over and grabs onto one of the bars whilst my father grabs onto the other. I watch as the turned it and start going down, I quickly run over just in time before it got down to far to reach.

"This is gonna get hairy. You ready for this?" My father question as my grip of the gun tightens, I nod my head confirming that I am ready, Nate also agrees as he pulls out his larger gun, getting ready for a gunfight.

We carry on moving through the city, finding the way the water was supplied and we knew we were going in the right directions due to the face that there were a loud of Marlowe and Talbots men there waiting. I quickly jump in cover by the turning wheel and start firing rapidly at the men, taking a few guys down. One of the men thought it would be a good idea to try and sneak over, he grasps shoulders about to hit me against the small wall. I used my gun it hit him in the head which stunned him and took the opportunity to hit his head against the wall whilst my father and Nate finished the rest off.

"All right, all clear!... Down this way!" Nate calls as I see him walk around and followed the stairs to get down the level below, my father and I speed up so we didn't lose him but all it did is take us to another gunfight which was a lot worse than the previous one.

It took quite a bit of time until we managed to make it to where Marlowe and Talbot were and Nate was right they were trying to get something out of the water as we managed to find some of the gear and also a gun that my father told hold of. We follow the voices until it lead us exactly where we wanted to be.

"Careful! Lift it gently," Marlowe demands as we all run to hide in cover, I peak past Nate so I could see what was going on. There was something being lifted out of the water by a crane, it definitely had to be something quite big, I stare at the water as I see something gold being pulled up and it wasn't something small.

"You gotta be kidding me..." My father groans as I carry on watching before telling them we need to do something and fast. Nate agreed before we all agree to split up, I decide to say where I was to make sure nobody tries to exit.

Suddenly I hear a gunshot, "Father!" I shout as Talbot hits my father in the head and kicks him in the water, I was about to jump in after him but Nate quickly beat me to it, leaving me to try and keep these guys away until Nate gets him out.

I carry on staring from at the water just as a loud bang erupts, the crane destroyed. I chuckle remembering the gun my father had taken, it came into good use after all. "No!" Marlowe bellowed as whatever the object was that was affecting the water was going back to the bottom. I hide in cover as another two explosions erupt, I peak past to see the building was crumbling

"Oh, you both are alright!" I cried as I run over the men and started to help them out as the building where Marlowe was completely collapsed. "Please tell me you didn't swallow any of the water,"

"I... I don't think so," My father coughs as another part of the building starts to crumble. "Come on we have to go," I urged as I help my father stand to his feet before we all take off running, I reach and grab my gun as we all fought our way out of here, killing all as Marlowe and Talbot men, I couldn't believe how stupid they are, willing to die for those two creatures, they were protecting them especially Marlowe like their lives depended on it.

We managed to make our way to the top and to the way out. "You!" I almost growl once I see those two, Talbot quickly points his gun at us causing us to surrender but crumbles beneath us, I managed to move back to safety along with my father but Nate falls down with Marlowe and Talbot into which seems like quicksand.

My father and I sign in relief once Nate manages to pull himself out, that was when I realised that only Marlowe was stuck but she was the last of my concern. "Pull him up!" I shout to my father, I watch as he kneels down getting ready to pull him up but the woman pulls his attention away, I couldn't hear what she was staying but I did see her hold up Sir Francis ring.

"You can't just let her die!" Talbot angrily calls, I glare at him before I shouted back. "Sure, he can!" but knowing Nate he wouldn't let her die, I shake my head as he takes his belt off throwing one end to her but it was too late, she was taken over by the sand killing her. Talbot cried out as my father quickly pulls Nate up.

I run over to help pull him up, we manage to pull him to his feet. "Run!" Nate orders as the buildings continued to crumble, the quicksand definitely making everything difficult as it quickly caused to buildings to be destroyed even quicker, I take a few deep breaths as I take the final jump, I look around to see Nate or my father isn't around but that went away once they turn up and so did so other figures.

"Salim!" Nate calls as I climb onto the horse that I share with Nate, I gesture him to hurry as I hold out my hand, I grip my hand and I pull him up behind me whilst my father climbs onto his own horse and we all rode out of the lost city which now is destroyed and possible cut out of history for good.

Now here we are, in a change of clothes and heading back towards the plane with our bags. I look over my shoulder noticing that they had stopped, my father uses his hand to tell me to go so they could talk privately, I nod and walked towards the entrance.

"Elena!" I smile and pulled her into a hug, so glad to see that she is alright. We both pull away smiles on both of our faces. "Are you not coming with us?" I question, noticing that she hasn't got anything with her, after all this I thought she would want to get out of this place, Elena shakes her head. "No, I still have a few things that I need to do here, I came to see that you were all in one piece,"

I nod my head understanding, suddenly Elena chuckles, "I'm surprised you're in one piece, every time I came on one of these with you, you seemed to always get yourself seriously injured,"

"Really?" I laugh as she taps my shoulder and walks over to my father, I turn back to see Nate walking towards me. "I'm sorry about the ring," I point towards his neck where he used to wear the ring, Nate just shrugs and replies, "I swapped it for something better,"

I look at him completely confused as he pulled out a ring, I look down to my left hand to see my ring had disappeared, guilt had hit me once I realised I didn't even know it had gone. "You managed to drop it at some point so, Sully has been looking after it," I nod as he places the ring on my ring finger, I pull him into a hug, wrapping my arms around his waist whilst his hand rested against my head.

"Let's get out of here, huh?" Nate asks as he moved his hand to my cheek, a small sigh escapes as I nod agreeing, finally completely happy that we can leave. I pick up my hand as Nate takes hold of my other one, walking towards my father and Elena.

"C'mon, we're this way," My father tells us with a cigar in his mouth, I thought the plane in front of us was ours? "But -" Nate was quickly cut off by my father insisting for us follow, I look over my shoulder as Elena waved by before she walked back into the building.

I chuckle once we see the plane, the same plane we used four use again just before Nate and I was even in this position. "Eh, it's not as nice as the one you two wrecked four years ago, but it'll do," My father jokes before we all walked towards the plane to go back home, hopefully now being able to finally settle down after so long.
