He walked up the hill just outside Shimotsuki village. Everyone who saw him immediately hid in fear of catching this criminal's eye. He was known throughout the world and his posters were everywhere. His signature green hair and the 3 swords he carried made him one of the most recognizable people in the world. That was especially true for this village and everyone avoided him in hopes he would leave without causing any damage.

He was the pirate hunter Zoro. First mate on the Pirate King's ship and proclaimed greatest swordsman in the world after the defeat of Hawkeye. The proof of this was on Zoro's back because in addition to the three swords on his belt was the large black sword on his back which previous belonged to the Warlord.

He walked up to the dojo that he was once a student at and opened the door. There was a group of kids inside all holding bamboo swords which all froze in the same instant. The older man who had his back to the door and to Zoro looked at all the kids, he was confused because there was genuine fear in their eyes. When he turned around he was surprised to see his former pupil sitting there staring at him.

"I am going to see Kuina. I will stop by later." The swordsman walked away from the dojo toward the grave of the sensei's daughter.

The sensei walked up behind Zoro who had been sitting in front of Kuina's grave. "What brings you all the way back here? I figured you would be gone for good after you became the world's greatest swordsman. You achieved you finally achieved the dream you had."

"I did achieve my dream of beating Hawkeye, but there was one thing I needed to do first." They turned around because of some noise from behind them as a couple of reporters came out of hiding.

"Sorry we heard Zoro was hear and wanted to try to get a good story." A young women from the group of about a dozen reporters had stepped forward. "We want to write something about the person from our village who is the world's greatest swordsman."

Zoro slowly go up and turned around to face the reporters who all took a step back because of the seriousness that was on his face. "Alright then. I will tell you about the world's greatest swordsman that came from this village." All of the reporters seemed excited to get to be able to get this story. They would make so much money off of getting this exclusive.

He drew the large black sword from his back which caused the reporters to step back further as he smiled at them. He slammed the point of the sword down into the stone next him lodging it into it. The reporters noticed the stone was actually a grave stone.

Zoro spoke up. "The world's greatest swordsman was a women from this village named Kuina. I fought her more than 2000 times and never won."

With that he walked away leaving everyone in that grave yard frozen and stunned. Including Kuina's father who was left there crying. With this declaration his daughter had achieved her dream.

Within a few days the whole world heard the story of the girl that never lost to Zoro. She became known as the worlds greatest swordsman.

Many people from around the world showed up to the village to try to take the legendary sword stuck in the stone but no one was ever able to pull it out. Until one day three years after this event. A Navy vice-admiral showed up with short blue hair and a long sword inside a green scabbard. She wore glasses and had such a close resemblance to the picture of Kuina that had circulated around the world.

She walked up to the grave and pulled the sword out of the stone.

A/N: I always thought that this was what Zoro was truly pushing for when he wanted to become the world's greatest swordsman after Kuina's death. That he was trying to make her dream come true. I hope people like the short story. I wanted to put Tashigi at the end also so that it could point to a woman truly becoming the world's greatest swordsman in the future.
