Hello everyone, this just a one shot inspired by the new promo of Icerde episode 35. I am so excited for the new episode and for Sarp and Mert to finally find out the truth that they are brothers. I also hope that more would share their stories about Icerde on this site, I just love the characters of both brothers. Their love/hate relationship gives me life ENJOY!

He stepped forward, every single step he made was bigger than the previous one. His heart beat like crazy. Hurry. Faster. His mind screamed at him to speed up more. He tried to breath in slowly to calm his shaking body but it was to no avail.

After he got on the familiar rooftop he started looking around frantically. In the distance he finally spotted the familiar figure which was slowly approaching him. After what felt like eternity the two men stopped opposite each other, less than a meter separating them. He wanted to say something but was unable to because he felt like he had a limp in his throat. They both just stood there staring into each other's eyes. Hundreds of thoughts flashed through his mind. They were a mess of memories, both old and new, raging in his head.

The smaller man in front of him, the same man he had just yesterday promised himself to kill next time he sees, took off his hood and revealed his face. It was reddened, poorly hiding a mixture of different emotions which the taller man was also experiencing himself. Defeat. Uncertainty. Worry. Hope. Sarp also caught the constrainedly rubbing of hands the younger always did out of anxiety.

They continued to look each other in the eyes, none of them saying anything, as if this was the first time they ever met. Sarp was in no condition to talk. The only though that was repeating in his mind like a broken record was "my brother, my brother, my brother…" But all he did was to just stay there like frozen, afraid to even take a breath. What if this whole day was just a dream? What if he was already dead? Was any of this real?

Mert then looked away, the sudden movement helped Sarp to come back in the reality. The younger man was unable to hold the other man's gaze anymore and was slowly losing control of his emotions. A second later their eyes crossed one more time. The moment their eyes met both men let the vulnerability take control of their bodies. Without even realizing it, they finally crossed the invisible barrier between them.

A stream of hot tears made its way flowing slowly across Sarp's cheeks as he hugged his brother as tightly as he could. His brother. It all felt so surreal to him. With his free hand he pressed the back of the head of the man who was once his little brother even closer to himself as if trying to make sure that this moment was not a dream. That it was real. That he finally had Umut back.

Both of them stood there unmoving, tightly hugging each other. It felt to Sarp as if the time had stopped. Every second holding each other felt like eternity. Nobody even dared loosening his grip on the other one. They held onto each other as if their lives depended on it.

On the same rooftop where only a day ago they tried to take each other's life, their bodies were now clinging to the other one's in a tight embrace. As if the world had stopped from moving and both men had all time in the world only for themselves, two brothers who after all these years apart were finally reunited.
