Qrow was woken up by the sound of his scroll going off. He narrowed his eyes at it wondering who would be calling this late. Qrow grabbed it and saw a picture of Tai on the screen. With a sigh Qrow accepted the call.

"Tai do you know what time it is?" Qrow asked.

"Qrow it's Raven," Tai's voice sounded panicked. "She's gone."

Qrow rubbed his forehead. "Did she go for a walk or something? You know how restless she gets. Especially since she was on bed rest."

"No! She left a note that said-" Tai interrupted himself with a sob. "She said she was going back to the bandits.

Qrow's felt like someone had punched him in the stomach at that. He wanted to get away from this, to fly until his wings hurt but Tai needed someone to talk to. What a great time for Summer to be away on a mission.

"I'm on my way Tai," Qrow said hanging up the phone.

Qrow knocked on the door. "Tai?" Qrow called. After there was no answer Qrow pounded his fist against the door. "Tai open up!"

Qrow grabbed the small potted plant by the door and grabbed the spare key out of it. It took him a few tries to unlock the door because of how bad his hands were shaking.

When Qrow entered the house he immediately saw Tai on the couch. Seeing Tai made Qrow's heart break.

Tai's eyes were red and swollen from crying. He looked absolutely broken and that scared Qrow. Tai was always the happy one. He was the one who made a dumb joke during a serious situation. He was the one who always cheered up the rest of the team when they were feeling down.

"Tai?" Qrow said softly. He walked up to Tai slowly. "Tai?"

Tai looked away from the wall and towards Qrow. Tears welled up in his eyes. "Qrow."

"Tai where's Yang at?" Qrow had noticed on the phone that Tai had only mentioned Raven being gone.

"She's asleep." Tai pointed at the coffee table where the baby monitor sat. Beside it was a small piece of paper, Raven's note.

Qrow reached over and picked up the note to read it. I'm sorry Tai but my family needs me. The tribe is in trouble without me. I know you many not understand but I cannot abandon them.

'What the hell Raven? Why would you go back to them?' Qrow thought. 'Especially when you have a daughter.'

He dropped the note and sat beside Tai. His teammate had his face buried in his hands. Qrow could see him shaking.

"I-I don't understand...why would she...what about Yang?" Tai asked.

"I don't know Tai," Qrow replied softly. He wrapped his arm around Tai's shoulders. Qrow rubbed his hand up and down Tai's arm. He wished he had a better answer to give then 'I don't know.'

Tai pulled his hands away from his face and stared at Qrow. "I'm sorry for being such a mess. You've got to be hurting worse then I am. I should be comforting you," Tai whispered.

"Stop it," Qrow replied before taking a deep breath. Qrow's back began itching, a reminder of the scars that he had been given by his 'family.'

"But Qrow she's your family-"

"Taiyang stop. Raven may be my blood sister but you, Yang and Summer are my family." Qrow felt vulnerable admitting it but Tai needed to hear it.

At that Tai threw his arms around Qrow and pressed his head into the crook of his neck. Qrow hugged Tai back and stroked his hair.

"Don't leave Qrow. Please stay here. I can't be alone," Tai sobbed.

"I'm not going anywhere. I promise."
