Hello everyone. Welcome back to another chapter of Chthonian Infernalis. I know it has been some time, but after basically a week of nonstop writing on this, it has been done. The newest chapter of the Danmachi/Overlord crossover is finished. I thank all of you who have waited patiently for more than half a year. Actually I only needed a bit of motivation and rewatching the relevant episodes of the two anime series that cover the time in this chapter for this.

You could say all it took was a lot of sit-ups, push-ups and lots of juice.

And without further ado, let's get started.

Chapter 7: Is it wrong to regret your past mistakes?

A lone plane wagon drove the road from the village to Orario. The horse pulling the cart was moving slowly with its head hanging low and its gaze cast towards the ground, fitting perfectly in the gloomy atmosphere of the three people it was pulling along. Scyron sat in the front, trying his best to steer the wagon and not driving it off the dirt path as he had absolutely no idea how to actually steer it. On the other hand, he had done his best to not speak with the other two people he was travelling with as the only sound was the clapping of the horse's hooves against the ground and the bumping of the cart whenever a slightly bigger stone got under the wheels.

The renard Roku and the human Seneca were the only ones that Scyron was able to bring back. The thing with resurrection spells was that you needed of course something to revive. Therefore it was pointless to use it on something that wasn't alive and just broken like a rock or a chair with a broken leg. The fact that slimes were the kind of creatures that left nothing behind when they ate was therefore quite the problem if you wanted to do that. Sometimes he looked back at a Roku, who sat on the backside, looking at the mountain where his friends and comrades had died in as it became smaller and smaller and didn't stop looking back even when the mountain range had long since faded into the distance, and a young human woman, crying her eyes out and weeping for the people she had lost to that place. She had stopped crying some time ago. Scyron didn't know when it was and he had no clock to check it, but he'd say about 2 or 3 hours. Also he couldn't really tell whether it was something good or bad.

He was too busy regretting his past descisions that led to this point in the first place.

After he had brought the two adventurers back, he had tried his best to break the news to them as best as he could, but of course that didn't work out that well. He had only known them for so Long and they had been with them for probably months, maybe even years, as they were not a simple bunch of people that grouped together lously like bandits. They were part of something bigger. A familia and in that sense basically the Family of a god as gods did viewed members of their familias as their children. Almost 12 hours after the resurrection and telling the two what happened, it had been evening again. At that time the two resurrected adventurers finally managed to take up the courage to leave their bedrooms, but they didn't leave the house, which now felt a lot more silent and empty than when they arrived with all those people missing to fill it with life.

Scyron respected that decision. It was after all breaking their hearts on the inside. During the day, Roku had been shouting in anger as things in his room were toppled over and thrown around judging by the sound of it, while Seneca had been crying until she went silent. The devil already had feared the worst and that she would have decided to follow her comrades in death, but luckily she had only fallen sleep. Apparently she had cried herself to sleep judging by the completely soaked fabric of the pillow, blanket and mattress. Whether it was a good or bad thing was not up to him to Judge as it still left a bad aftertaste in his mouth.

The villagers didn't check up on the two as Scyron had already told them what had happened when he brought the two of them back to the village as they were unconscious in his arms. They asked him how they were doing, but he could only say as much as "They are resting." or "They are still trying to take everything in." He did make them a simple meal for dinner, which both of them ate in silence, before returning to their Rooms.

At the morning of the 2nd day since the accomplishment of the quest, things started to look better as they were not hesitating to come out, but they were still mostly silent, looking through the personal belongings that the adventurers of their familia had taken with them on their mission as they packed them together to load them on the wagons, before crying or mourning again.

When they were finished, Scyron led them alongside the villagers to the mountains again. No one spoke at that but simply followed the white armored demon up through the fields as he revealed something that made many of the present people break out in tears. At the base of the mountain on a bigger ledge overgrown with grass and wild flowers from, which one could look at the crop fields of the village and the village itself, Scyron had done his best to put 10 large stones from the mountains. One for each of their comrades, that had fallen in that mountain. Scyron had put them there in the last night, while Reiji had helped helped polishing them or rather use his acid to make them smooth as if polished, making them more proper for being used as tombstones.

Scyron had led them to this memorial, so that Roku, Seneca and the people of the village could all say their farewells to those brave souls, that had given their lives for these people. Many of the villagers cried as alongside the two adventurers or put flowers and candles down at the base of the stones. Or even small objects like toys or the like to show their partaking and respect. Some of them, mostly children, even cried despite having never known them in truth. But Scyron for some reason felt no sadness that would make him cry about their deaths. Instead he only felt emptiness and guilt as he could have prevented their deaths from happening easily, but hadn't. He asked to leave the other adventurers alone for a moment and return to the village so they could properly farewell for themselves.

None of them objected as the villagers silently marched back into their home, while Scyron gazed back once, looking at Roku, who balled his hands into fists and shook as he sobbed, while Seneca had fallen on her knees and cried, before her comrade hugged her, trying to give some comfort at all. The demon left them alone and waited for them until they came back about half an hour later.

The sun rose to ist zenith at midday, when they left the settlement after this funeral. Their job was done. Their reward was collected alongside what was left of personal possessions of the other adventurers. They had no more reason to stay. Since then they were on the road again. The horses used by the other adventurers were left in the village. While one could argue that they were technically property of the Guild, Scyron thought it was more appropriate to give them to the village as the slimes had devoured most of the cattle the villagers had. They would need them more than the Guild did. It would cost him some money, but in the big picture it was nothing, but a slight inconvenience.

Nighttime was approaching fast and the group was forced to stay at the edge of a forest. They had travelled further than 3 days ago as now they had less to carry with them both in equipment as well as in people. The moon was almost full, but thick clouds dimmed its light a lot and no stars were shining through them. The two members of the Dionysus Familia had not spoken with Scyron since he had told them about the demise of their companions and he wasn't the type who initiated a conversation himself, even though the silence was more than disturbing. They made a fire in silence, Scyron cooked dinner in silence again, they ate in silence and without another word they went in two separate tents, laying down to sleep, not even exchanging a goodnight to one another.

Once more Scyron sat in the night and was watching the environment, but this time at the cracking camp fire. It was astonishing how fast the world could change. Just a couple of days ago he had only approached the fire as a gesture of politeness to a fellow adventurer as everyone was laughing and enjoying themselves. And now he sat here alone in complete silence while almost all those people were dead now. Wiped out without even anything left to bury or to bring back to their families and Friends so they could mourn over their deaths.

The archdevil sighed as the fire cracked and embers were spewed out. They were not at Orario yet, but the devil was sure that they were going to be back there by tomorrow midday. His eyes wandered to the flames before him, dancing as the fire devoured the wood greedily, charring it black and Breaking it apart while embers flew up in the sky with every time the fire cracked.

"You seem rather troubled." A familiar voice said, catching Scyron off guard as he turned around. The large worm player Reiji was standing there, his upper body risen from the ground and standing taller than the wagon or the tents almost like a cobra rearing ist head back to strike or spew venom at an unfortunate victim's eyes. The majority of his body was hidden in the tree line. How this creature managed to sneak up without a sound by its size was more a mystery than even that dungeon in Orario itself.

However, that was but the minor issue. Being here and even knowing where the devil was in the first place meant two things. Reiji must have followed Scyron and the surviving adventurers the whole time ever since they left the village the entire day and that meant that the chance of someone seeing a giant worm-like monster crawling over the land and pretty much bulldozing through anything with just its size and weight was so high, it would make Babel look like a toothpick in comparison!

"And you seem to be suicidal, coming so close to the camp of those whose friends you have killed." Scyron remarked dryly as he really tried to keep his voice down. He was only trying to though. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?! Didn't I tell you to wait for me to pick you up once I have brought those two back to Orario?" He almost shouted at the worm player.

The plan was quite simple. Reiji would wait in the area around the village for some time until Scyron could get to Orario and inside the dungeon to use [Gate] and bring the worm alongside with him into the dungeon until he could figure out what to do with the fellow player.

Who knows what all the people in the city would do when suddenly a massive caterpillar monster would be walking through its streets and look around like a child in a candys tore?... Actually, now that Scyron recalled those large caterpillars on the 50th Floor he knew exactly what the people would do and it wouldn't end pretty for everyone involved. Reiji might not be on Level 100, but he could easily kill even Ottar and Finn on his own despite being a blacksmith. After all, the magic and adventurers he had seen so far in this world was rather… weak to put it nicely.

"Yes, yes. You did that. But you must understand, that this is a very first for me. You have been on the surface for weeks, but I see it for the first time since coming into this world." Reiji said, not even trying to keep his voice down.

"And so you decided to ignore a well meant warning and instead of wandering around the world blindly to just follow me like some sort of stalker?" Scyron said. 'Seriously, it's not like I need ANOTHER ONE to begin with. I'm already well served with just apparently the patron deity of the strongest familia of Orario and the patron deity of the second strongest familia being actually aware of my existence. Geez, I really seem to just keep moving myself into a corner I can't get out anymore.'

"Hey!" The worm said offended...in an appropriate volume which was far too loud for the devil's liking. "You wouldn't just run around blindly either and want to attract unwanted attention. The devil player would have laughed straight into Reiji's face right then and there for spouting something about attracting unwanted attention, yet yelling out his… Did Reiji even possess lungs? Anyway, for yelling about drawing attention to oneself yet doing so right next to the tents where the two last survivors of the adventurer party he and his subordinates had killed slept.

"Yet you realize that these two could wake up from your voice or some other people, that may or may not pass us by, could see you and you'd be hunted by the people like some animal. Which in my defense you kind of are already." Scyron said sternly. Reiji sighed in defeat at that.

"Yeah... Still, it's sort of weird I'd say." The worm admitted, making the demon raise an eyebrow.

"Hmm? What do you mean?" Scyron asked.

"I dunno. I just thought there would be more monsters on the surface, but so far all I've seen are normal animals. Kind of a letdown on a fantasy world." The worm said. Scyron nodded at this in understanding.

If what Eina said was true, then monsters were on the surface even weaker than in the dungeon, which so far had failed to present a challenge for the Level 100 player. Even a Level 85 player like Reiji wouldn't actually find much of a problem in that dungeon. Meaning, if one would put 1 and 1 together, it's very likely that the only monsters capable to do actual damage to the two of them up here on the surface must be monsters on at least categorized as Level 3 or higher by this world's standards, meaning even stronger than minotaurs or in general everything that was on the lower and deep floors thus far. That would explain how it came that such requests were so rare when Scyron had asked Eina about it.

Her response was that travelling alone to such depths would take a lot of time, preparation and require a full party at least to take care of the objective, which all were factors that would shoot the reward for such a quest into astronomical heights, which in return only so many could afford.

Scyron also understood the other side of Reiji's disappointment. He too had expected a higher density of monsters in this world since he had been a player of a RPG, which normally were loaded with such mobs to give the players gold, items and crafting materials. This world on the other hand was not a game at all. There was no respawning of mobs or adventurers after a certain amount of time would pass. Death was the end and this world was more home to regular animals than magical beasts.

To be honest, the very existence of monsters in this world seemed more alien the more the devil thought about it. The only dungeon he was aware of in this world was in Orario, which was built on top of that and operated like any dungeon in RPGs by spawning monsters, that one would receive drop items and (indirectly) money for killing them. Not to mention that the dungeon was the ONLY place where monsters could actually come from as they were not actual living beings that would reproduce normally. While the gods' level and falna system also shared remarkable similarities to RPG Elements and Systems, there were even more Things that set this world apart from any game world, that the devil would have played or what he would expect from such a world of swords and magic.

Sure demi-human races and other human races were a thing such as dwarfs, elves, renards and raccoons, but all of them had a human appearance all in all.
Magic was also a thing in this world, but its usage was limited to those with the affinity and skill, making it rather rare.
Even the gods of this world, while being apparently alternative versions of the gods from Earth's various cultures and history, had taken the role of normal human beings side by side with the mortals.

To sum it up, this world seemed rather normal. Probably more normal than one would expect it to be as there was not that much difference to how Earth probably used to be in the middle ages or the renaissance.

"Agreed. This world mostly offers no sorts of interesting monsters and all races in this world share a remarkable resemblance to humans. Not to mention the gods themselves looking human and having sealed away their powers. Even the "Beast Humans" such as werewolves, cat people and chientropes are simply humans with animal traits." The devil said. "If some of those human players would be here, they'd definitely take advantage of that."

"Are you so sure about that? And what makes you say that?" Reiji asked surprised by the devil's conclusion. "I mean, I get that human players didn't like us at all because they could pick on us, but that doesn't mean they'd actually do that type of Thing once they realize this is not a game and actual real people. Also, why would they attack demi-humans that seem to have popped out one of those old adult anime or look like they are wearing one of those costumes for roleplaying." The worm shook his head at this. "No. I doubt that would happen." Scyron scratched the back of his head at this.

"Think about it this way. Our world, Earth was a wasteland filled with garbage, smog and the people in the high positions abusing their powers against the majority of the population. Back in YGGDRASIL one could say that the game gave such people an outlet to cool down by hurting others. After all, the choice of the race was still up to the player. However, add to the already personal stress the fact of being summoned to another world. That is basically like lighting the fuse of a barrel filled with dynamite. And you know yourself how powerful we are in comparison to even the adventurers of this world." Reiji looked down at this, remembering the adventurer he had killed himself. It had been just too easy for the worm. It was as if folding a sheet of paper in half by its difficulty.

"That's why it's completely unknown what other players might do when arriving here like we they are not already here that is. You and I, we are both relatively simple people. But think about those pricks that already had a supremacy issue going on in real life and only enhanced it in guilds back in YGGDRASIL. Don't you think it would be very possible for them to just take everything by force when even these people who are already seen as professionals and superiors to the ordinary people of this world. Players like us could just have everything they ever wanted and never could have back home. Luxury, wealth, women, power over entire countries even. I fear the day this might come to be reality." Scyron said Looking back into the Flames. His mind travelled back to the day where he failed as the strategist. The day their dungeon was destroyed and almost everyone was killed. They day they all lost something important and when the Infernal League ceased to exist forever.

Reiji leaned down to Scyron as he spoke up again with a tendril placed on the devil's shoulder as if to reassure him that all would be okay. However, given the way he looked like it was more like a lovecraftian monster wrapping its tendrils around its next meal. Or victim in whatever other scenario than ending up as food...

"Don't worry about that. That's why we are here first. If some human players are gonna come and think they can do whatever they like we'll just knock some sense back into their numb skulls." Reiji said.

"I do like your optimism." Scyron sighed before smiling, while the worm chuckled at this. The two players kept talking with one another while only the wind and the stars were the only witnesses of this beginning of a comradeship.

The fire meanwhile had burnt down, leaving only softly glowing and charred pieces of coal.

The next day

The group of 3 adventurers continued to ride back to Orario in the morning as the City became visible at the horizon not Long after leaving their last camp. Even though the devil told them that, other than Roku turning around for a short Moment, he got no reaction from the other two. It was a disturbing the devil to a great deal, but there was Nothing he could do about it. He wasn't a psychologist after all.

As for the worm Player, Reiji had disappeared from the sights before the sun even rose as Scyron couldn't exactly tell when they would wake up and he really wouldn't want to cast Sleep inducing spells on them for the case that they unexpectely awoke sooner as he was sure that if he would actually fire such a spell out of Panic he might ended up with putting them and Reiji into coma for a Long time. He wasn't sure about this Claim though, but his experiences as a powerful and destructive magic caster told him so.

Deep down Scyron just wanted to get them back to their deity as fast as he could and make sure that they would receive the treatment of their familia they needed. A broken heart like what the two of them had would heal better when being around their family and friends. That didn't mean though he had stopped regretting what had happened, what he had done or that he had allowed such things to happen in the first place. It was as if those 10 people were trying to drag him down into a swamp of self-pity as they had been denied the chance to live.

The wagon drove through the city's gates at midday as people looked at the strange occurrence of a heavily armored individual riding a wagon like that in the middle of the day. Scyron also noticed that a lot of more people were around than usual. People were happy everywhere and apparently celebrating something. Scyron would have asked the two others people on the back of the wagon, but given their continued silence, he didn't do that. Asking the people he drove by was also not an option as he really had to keep his eyes on the road.

Instead he just kept driving through the crowds of people in a snail's pace, until he finally reached the adventurer's Guild building after almost running someone over with the carriage. This dense crowd and the fact that he was steering actually brought back the memories of him driving a car, which almost left him paralyzed in fear. Not exactly the best memory he had. At the Guild Scyron began to unload everything from the wagon including the apathetic adventurers to Prevent himself from actually jumping in joy from finally being freed of the carriage and the driving. If he had done that he may as well would have kissed the floor for not having to drive anymore. God that would have been embarrassing.

He was greeted by Misha Flott, who looked rather surprised at the demon and the two other adventurers, before the demon brought the two of them inside the Guild to explain everything to the pinkette girl, who looked very shocked at the news that most of the party had been wiped out by a nest of strong monsters.

"All of them are…" Misha said as she covered her mouth. Scyron's head was cast at the ground, while Roku and Seneca were sitting on a couch further away.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't protect them. I tried but... it was too late." He said, while his mind screamed "Liar!" at him. The guild worker seemed to not take the news well herself as her eyes began to tear up.

"It's not your fault." She said, yet it only made Scyron feel even worse. It made him feel worse, because that was exactly what it was. It had been his fault that 10 people were dead now. "We shall inform the Dionysus Familia immediately. They'll want to know what happened there and how their members are now." She said glancing over to Seneca and Roku.

"To put it simply, I think this experience broke them." Scyron said, causing Misha to look at the demon. "They have barely spoken or eaten for the past 2 days. I think this might be the end of the line for the two of them as adventurers." He said sadly.

He had seen people with that look in their eyes. Accidents were pretty common in his old profession and while being a tragedy, it was not uncommon that when they happened people ended up dead. Those lucky enough to survive usually had heavy injuries as a result or even needed to have their limbs amputated if they simply couldn't be fixed, which was a cheaper and thus more practiced method of doctors. Artifical arms and legs were no problem, but they also were a danger to the patients when the heavy metals started to accumulate in their organs causing poisonings of the body. And because of cheap and half-baked models this happened as well on an almost regular base.

People that either lost limbs or suffered from such consequences had the same look in their eyes. The look of having given up on life all together.

"It happens more often than you think Scyron-san." Misha said, making the devil look up. "Many adventurers die in the dungeon every year, but people still come here full of hopes and dreams to make a life here. Death is simply always a risk that is there no matter what job they may take."

"I know this. But it doesn't make their deaths less of a tragedy. I simply wished I could have done more." For a moment, the devil and the guild worker stayed silent, before Scyron looked outside the window. "Say Misha... What day is today that everyone is celebrating like this?" Scyron asked, trying to replace the topic with something less gloomy.

"Oh you probably don't know because you were gone for 4 days. Today is the Monsterphilia." She said with a smile, wiping away her Tears. For a Moment the demon stayed silent.

"Never heard of it." He said. Misha almost fell down on the ground at this monotonous reply.

"Haven't you been in Orario for weeks now?" She asked, pointing at the demon.

"I never celebrated any holidays or such things, so I didn't bother to ask. And stop pointing at me." Scyron replied simply. 'Now that I think about it. I also never actually celebrated my birthday.'

"Well, the Ganesha Familia brings monsters to the surface and puts them into their arena were adventurers and tamers fight against them." Misha said.

'Why do I feel like I've heard a plot like that before with a catatstrophe in its making?' The devil thought. "Tamers you say? There is such a thing such as beast tamers among adventurers?" Scyron said surprised, while Misha looked confused.

"Don't you mean monster tamers?" The pink haired woman asked, making Scyron want to kick himself. This wasn't YGGDRASIL or any sort of fantasy game. This was reality. But there were so many RPG like terms in this world, that the terms from his world's games simply slipped out his mouth without thinking about it. Misha then shrugged. "Well, they are people that are capable of making a monster their servant. Though the skill is very rare and the Ganesha Familia has quite a few of them because of this festival." Misha said.

'Did that elephant-headed god become a circus director in his free time on this world?' Scyron thought. "I see. Thank you Misha. You actually managed to make me feel a bit better." With that he left.

"Hey wait! Where are our other horses?!" Misha's shout was left unanswered as the devil had already left the vicinity of the Guild hall. Actually he still was, but it only made him speed up more as those horses had been technically the Guild's property and he just gave them away for free. Oh boy, Eina would be mad once he would go back there. Maybe he should stay away from that building for a couple of weeks.

Later

It felt for Scyron like ages since the last time he had simply been walking through the streets of Orario. All the cheerful atmosphere and the many people laughing and celebrating together were really helping his tired soul and sad mood to get back into normality. Well, what had become his new normality. Back on Earth his normality was to worry about his job and his paycheck at the end of the month more than his own health.

Getting up in the morning, working the whole day, going late to bed. That was his usual routine day in and day out. He had been in this world for less than a month, but his psyche had already adapted and changed to suit this much better way of life. It was strange to say at least. Not just the fact that he had been transported into another world with his avatar as his body, but also that his mindset had changed so fast. It was downright terrifying when he thought about it.

Shaking his head at this thought he simply kept walking further into the city. It was not like he wanted to be that person again. A gear in a machinery that demanded his life as nothing more as an asset that easily could be replaced by someone else. Nope. He definitely didn't want to go back to his old life.

Passing by the Hostess of Fertility, the demon was almost tempted to go inside and see whether everything was alright or not. After all there was his Shadow Demon that would probably cut down every last person that tried to steal his belongings. He had not taken it with him. An unfortunate thing to be honest. If he had it alongside with him during the last 4 days, he may could have prevented the deaths of the others by using the Shadow Demon to protect them.

However, then there was his last encounter with the waitresses after he had made breakfast and quickly the demon found himself blushing madly and leaving the street. He could return at another time. There were better things to do then just go home especially when he got no real luggage other than the two swords on his back. Maybe he could try out some food from the stands or maybe even play a game or two. Well not as entertaining as a Video game, but it would something refreshing from his usual routine of going into the dungeon and killing monsters for money.

Or maybe he could check out the colosseum that Misha had mentioned. Watching beast tamers at their work might be interesting. There was really a lot of things that he could do and actually he was basically having a free day right now. Then again, he needed to get Reiji into the dungeon to make sure that he doesn't get hunted down by some local huntsman only for him to defend himself and end up killing everything within a radius of 5 kilometers.

So there were two possible options right now. Enjoy the festival while it was still going on or going into the dungeon and worry about an overgrown insect player.

Unfortunately, a panicked scream from afar seemed to have other plans for him today. Turning around the armored devil saw something he did not expect. There was a large Orc right on the street and by the Looks of it this was not part of the festival. No in fact, it looked more like the Orc was about to devour some innocent civilian as it towered over them, salivating a lot in anticipation to have a taste of some unfortunate woman's flesh… Okay now that I think about it that really sounded a lot like a certain type of off-brand anime, but that was beside the point.

Without even thinking, Scyron's hand shot forward towards the Orc.

"[Maximize Magic: Magic Arrow]!" A lot of magic projectiles flashed into existence before the devil, forming almost a wall as they all were sent flying towards the monster. The creature only lifted its head as it noticed the attack, but in the next moment, its body was skewered by the spell like an insect on a dissection table. Exploding into ashes and a magic stone, which fell to the ground with a loud thump, the monster was no more. However, the people were still on high alert.

The devil could feel it. All around him there was panic. But why? Inwardly the devil cursed for being unable to just spread his wings and look from above as there were too many people around to just do that and it was midday, meaning everyone would see him. Why out of all times did this had to happen right when he came back? Couldn't he have at least 2 hours of some rest after that misadventure with Reiji? Was that honestly asking for too much?

It didn't matter. Quickly looking around, Scyron saw that the civilians were fine. Shaken and scared for their life to the point where they may have nightmares forever, but still alive and not apathetic. Without any further ado, the demon jumped on top of a building to his right and sprinted faster than the naked human eye could see through the streets, using the roofs of any building as a shortcut to prevent to collide with anyone. Only god knew what would happen if a large devil in heavy armor would crash with full speed into an unarmored, fleshy living being, except complete fracture of the majority of bones inside their body and heavy traumas.

As he basically 'flew' across the streets he found more monsters out in the open, terrorizing the people as well as a certain blonde blur taking out monsters with high speed, yet slower than himself. It didn't take a genius to tell that it was Aiz Wallenstein, but now was not the time to fangirl about Loki's Princess of Blades. There were people in trouble and in the need of saving. Scyron's feet mercilessly stomped onto the roofs below him, possibly even breaking more than just a few tiles as he jumped off from one and crashed with his body into the neck of an Infant Dragon, snapping it in half and killing the monster in less than a second, before dashing off to intercept a Frog Shooter, a one-eyed frog monster from the upper floors as its tongue darted towards a child that was too busy crying and running towards what Scyron presumed to be its parents.

Closing the distance with less than a second, the devil grabbed the sticky tongue, which instinctively latched onto the armored limb. However, Scyron didn't stop and simply dragged the amphibian monster along with it as it gave panicked quacking sound from it, trying desperately to get a hold onto the ground as it was dragged along it so hard that it left bloody scratches in its back, leaving a bloody trace on the ground.

Scyron quickly found another monster, a Sword Stag to be precise. The large ram-like being's horns were sharp and shaped like curved blades. Without thinking Scyron pulled the Frog Shooter he was dragging along with its tongue to him. The frog's body was already bloody and bruised, but that would be the least of his problems as he threw the frog creature straight at the stag. With a high pitched screech, the amphibian was sent flying and crashed with the entirety of the blunt force into the stag's antlers.

While the antlers skewered the frog, the impact actually had caused them to break from the monster's skull, leaving the dying frog on the ground to bleed out. The stag was not unaffected by that as it staggered under the sudden shift of its weight and the loss of its primary weapons with an enraged call. That sound however was quickly replaced when Scyron's greatsword was plunged deep into its throat, killing the mountain goat-like being and causing it to disintegrate. Unfortunately, Scyron didn't have time to stay, otherwise he'd gladly have picked up those horns from the ground, but it was not over yet.

The people around the scene were left speechless as their minds had yet to comprehend what had happened. The sudden shift from celebrating to being in mortal danger and then being safe again simply occurred a little too fast.

The demon didn't care. He asked for a distraction from his last mistakes and here it was. This time he'd make sure to not let anyone suffer under his watch.

That was when he jumped off and landed on a plaza to stop for a moment and get a better view at Things. Dashing around the streets without air support was really a bad idea. He needed to stop and look around to see where he would need to go next. He then spotted the elf and the Amazon Twins of the Loki Familia across the plaza.

'What in the nine realms of YGGDRASIL are These Girls doing here?! And without any weapons or armor I might add!' He thought though he didn't know why he was so angry for them being there. In fact, seeing that they were alive and kicking was more of a relief, so why... Why was his mind burning with such fury?

The other people on the plaza were startled by the armored man's sudden appearance, but what followed truly terrified them.

From one moment to another the ground suddenly started to shake violently as the devil player's [Life Essence] picked up a strong creature approaching his position from underground. That was when a long appendage shot out of ground. Its lime green golor and texture were like the stem of a flower with a closed bud at the tip, but unfortunately it was not even close to a flower's soft epidermis as its hard skin crashed right into the armored devil's chest and knocked him across the plaza as he was distracted.

"What the-"

*CRASH!*

"Hell?" He said as he had landed rather uncomfortably in a nearby stand selling fruits and vegetables, crushing cabbages, oranges, apples and tomatoes alike under his white armor, staining it red. However, other than the stains, the attack had done nothing to the devil. He felt neither dizzy or sick despite being thrown several meters through the air and landing in a stand, reducing it to splinters. Instead it felt only like he had been pushed really powerfully by something. It didn't hurt him at all. Still he didn't like how this situation just had turned out.

'What the hell is that monster? Even on the middle floors there were no such plant-type creatures. Its definitely a plant. Even a blind one can see that.'

"What is that? A snake?" Tiona said in shock.

"I haven't seen one like that before." Tione added to her Sister's comment.

'... Okay I take it back. Everyone with a working human brain could tell that!' Scyron thought dumbfounded as he picked himself up out of the remains of the fruit stand and brushing off splinters of wood and crushed remains of vegetables and fruits from his body. 'Still, this thing is something I've never seen before. Could it be a new type of monster the dungeon just recently made? Argh! Who cares about that right now? I need to kill it before it can do anymore damage.' He said as he walked towards it, his hand grasping the handle of his greatsword.

However, the amazon twins were faster as they shot right at the plant monster, which reacted by trying to hit them. The two managed to dodge by jumping over the attack and hit the stem with their fists when crashing down. But instead of the sound of something being torn apart the sound that was emitted was more like two plates of metal hitting one another with a ringing sound as both Tiona and Tione were thrown back with pained cries.

'Dammit! I need to interfere!' The demon thought as the plant lashed out once more, but right into the devil, who grabbed onto the 'head' and stopped the attack. The monster tried pushing the demon away with all its might, but Scyron was like an unmovable object, simply not allowing it to move him at all, while he slammed it down with one hand and reached with the other for his weapon. That was when it suddenly moved to the side to 'face' towards the elf girl.

Beneath her feed glowed a magic circle with red and silver light, when the ground before it began to crack. An expression of shock and realization crossed Lefiya's face as she reached the same conclusion as Scyron.

'It reacted to the spell being cast!'

*CRACK* *FWSSH*

In the next moment an almost hand like appendage shot out the ground and hit Lefiya right in the thigh as she was thrown across the plaza into another fruit stand. The impact caused her to gag and cough up blood as there was a slowly growing bloody spot on her otherwise mostly light pink clothes.

"LEFIYA!" Tiona and Tione shouted when suddenly more of the plant monster came out the Ground and more Hand like appendages lashed out at the amazons and the devil as if the monster tried to make itself even bigger. However, while the new appendage hit Scyron, his eyes were fixed onto the small elven mage. Blood trickled down the corner of her mouth and her eyes were shut, yet he could see them move under the eyelids. Her breath was shallow and uneven as her body shook in pain.

The memories of the adventurers that had died in last few days shot through his mind. Their faces. Their voices. Their cries for help left unanswered. Their faces contorting in shock and terror as they were destroyed. Everything that happened came back as everything around Scyron was fading out. The monster. The amazons. The city. There was just darkness and this almost lifeless body that was desperately clinging to life under the greatest possible pain. And there was blood…

In that moment, something overcame the devil as his hand that held the monster down suddenly dug its fingers into its skin and with an outcry of pure rage, the devil tore out a chunk from the monster's body. Without the devil holding it down, the monster reared its body up as the top of the plant opened revealing a five yellow, purple and red petals with a venusfly trap mouth in the middle, which had a set of fleshy jaws with human-like teeth behind it. It turned to the downed elf as its two pairs of jaws opened as it was about to devour Lefiya.

But then it stopped its advance as it slowly turned to the devil who until now had been standing perfectly still. In his left hand was his chokuto, coated in lightning as the electricity crawled up his arm and shoulder, branching out into the air in wide archs. In his right palm burnt a fire bright and powerful. And from the depths of his helmet, a pair of purely red eyes stared at the blind monster's head with such hatred, it was as if a basilisk hit one with its petrifying gaze. (Which was funny as Basilisks were not a thing in the dungeon as far as he knew)

"I see. So you react to the strongest magic around you first. Such a nasty thing..." Scyron said as he crouched down a little, ignoring the appendages of the flower raining down on his armor like drops of rain without ever doing damage. "Is fitting for such a filthy and ugly weed, that only deserves to be plucked out."

With that, Scyron shot forward and jumped right at the stem of the flower, stabbing the lightning coated sword to the hilt into the plant. The monster screeched out in pain as the lightning electrocuted the creature from within, burning its flesh, making it spasm without control over its own body, paralyzing it and thus rendering its many arms useless as it fell down to the ground. Tiona and Tione were however still constricted by the arms. That meant only one thing as Scyron landed not far from the flower head.

There were more of them. Out of the ground 3 more of the flower's kind shot out as the devil grinned.

"Ah! More weeds to be cut down! Be my guests! [Blade Bumerang]!" He shouted as he grabbed his greatsword and threw it. The blade was surrounded by a blueish white hue as is spun so fast that it looked like a disc made of pure light, before cutting through the flower monsters' stems, making them explode into ashes with one go. The blade returned to its owner as said devil turned to the paralyzed and first of the monsters.

"What's the matter? Weren't you all high spirits just a moment ago about eating some magic?" He said as he stood now right before the Flower and grabbed one of the petals with his Burning Hand. The monster screeched out in pain once more as its body was burnt, but it became even louder as Scyron tore the petal right off the head. This procedure continued 4 more times until the creature had no more petal to plug out. "Looks like you ain't enjoying yourself. What gives? You know today is a festival and you are ruining the mood for everyone." The devil said stomping down on the venusfly trap head over and over again until they too were torn off, leaving only a fleshy bud at the top with a heavily panting human-like mouth.

Tiona and Tione had managed to get Lefiya back in upright position, but the three of them couldn't help but look at the devil with shock. Sure the amazons were Level 5 adventurers and had already seen a lot due to their heritage, but this was just one thing. Cruel. It was like watching someone getting through the worst kind of torture. And in the voice of the devil they could hear his grin.

He didn't care. Only one emotion resonated through his mind: Wrath.

"Let me help you to brighten up your mood!" Scyron shouted as he slammed his entire arm into partly opened mouth of the plant monster, successfully, knocking out several teeth from their gums as it vanished into creature's mouth. For a moment that was it, but then smoke and light came out of the mouth and the creature let out muffled screams of pain, while the devil laughed like a maniac. "Hehehahahaha! [Flare Blast]!" He shouted as the entire creature on its length began to swell up like a balloon and suddenly exploded violently in flames as the members of the Loki Familia had to shield their eyes from the heat to prevent their eyes to be boiled like eggs.

When the heat died down and the smoke dispersed, the only thing that remained was a large black spot and a strangely green glowing magic stone, which was picked up by the demon in disguise, before he picked up his sword and sheathed it.

"Now that was a firework." He said to himself, before looking at the rest of the plaza. The members of the Loki Familia were staring at him and it didn't feel too good. There was a lot of fear mixed into these looks. However, he didn't really have the patience to deal with that right now. So instead of talking his way out, he shoved his hand into his armor to conceal that it actually slipped into his inventory and fished out a Minor Healing Potion. Throwing the small vial with the red fluid towards the amazons, one of them caught it while he turned around to leave.

"That's a healing potion. Make sure your friend drinks it." Was all he said, before dashing off. He didn't need to stay any longer. He knew that those two would make their friend drink it if they actually cared for her survival. And honestly, the rather rapid effect of YGGDRASIL potions was something he actually didn't want to explain right now.
So instead he did what he could do best in a moment like this: running away!

I mean, running around the city to take care of the remaining monsters that apparently were still running on a rampage through the city!

Later in the Guild Hall

"YOU DID WHAT?! DID YOU COMPLETELY LOSE YOUR MIND OR DID YOU LEAVE IT ON THAT MOUNTAIN?" A familiar voice yelled right into Scyron's ear, which actually was more irritating than the fight with those plant monsters.

After the fiasco of the rampaging monsters was solved by adventurers all across Orario, including himself among others, the devil simply went to the Guild to at least exchange one or two of the normal magic stones he had gathered from this incident to get some money. However, an unpleasant surprise waited for him there like a poacher having set a trap for some sort of animal when as soon as he was at the counter, a hand grabbed his armored shoulder firmly enough to make itself notable with an unmistakable aura of death and a far too innocent smile that promised endless suffering.

Yes, Eina was not very happy about Scyron just wandering off into the Monsterphilia and fighting the monsters right after coming back from a mission, that left more than two thirds of the original party dead and on top of that metaphorical bowl of ice cream came as a topping of whipped cream and a cherry the fact, that Scyron had just given away the horses owned by the Guild to the villagers, not to mention any other borrowed item from the guild, thus making him actually own the Guild a not too small amount of valis even with his reward for the subjugation.

Right now Eina was sitting on a couch opposing Scyron, who didn't look away in his stained armor as he sat there with his arms crossed. Well at least no one was injured throughout the Monsterphilia incident. It was almost like a miracle to be honest. Still that was a matter for another time. Now he had talking to do again.

"...I'm not apologizing." He simply stated in a firm voice. Eina sighed deeply as she held the bridge of her nose in frustration. Apparently she didn't exactly have the best of days with all that hectic today either.

"Scyron, while I am not complaining about your actions being noble, you cannot just give away Things that don't belong to you."

"I did pay for everything that was given away." The demon player said. 'God I hope this is over soon. This is so stupid. I'm a grown up man and I'm yelled at as if I just left kindergarten for elementary school.'

"And what about the rest on the list of missing items…"

"That would have been the monsters." Scyron said. Eina's gaze immediately dropped onto her hands. She knew about what happened. Misha must have given the report to the other workers of the Guild already. "The amount will be paid by tomorrow. Don't worry about it." The devil said, but Eina's face remained an unreadable one except for the Emotion of sadness basically being printed on it.

"Scyron. If you need to talk about this or need someone to help you with what happened-" Scyron held up a hand, making the half-elf stop before he looked around with a sigh.

"I have never told this anyone, but I used to be in a guild myself a long time ago." Scyron began, earning a confused look from Eina. "Back where I come from, guilds are what one would consider a familia, though without any deity as its head."

"Wait, without a deity no one would have excess to a falna and thus wouldn't grow stronger." Eina said in disbelief, but the devil kept his cool.

"Where I come from, we didn't need any god's grace to become stronger. The circumstances were very different from what is normal around here. And to be completely honest, I think the whole familia-falna system is both stupid and incredibly flawed. Instead of receiving a boost in the stats immediately after slaughtering hordes of monsters as you fight with tooth and nail to stay alive, you only become stronger by the deity you made a pact with updating your falna, which in theory they always could just refuse to do so for whatever reason. Had a bad day, the child had been disrespectful to them or maybe just broke the rules a little bit. Not to mention that leveling up in this system is literally decided by the denatus, a meeting of the gods to determine whether a person's deeds are worth a level up or not. So instead of growing stronger in a more natural way like normal training, one is measured and evaluated by some caste of superior beings. To sum it up, it makes literally every mortal being in a familia dependent of the gods, but as someone without a familia I'm probably the last person to argue about something like that." Scyron said as he got back to the actual topic.

"Anyway, you may as well confuse my old home with a hell on Earth. Monsters prowled the land, that were much stronger than those in the dungeon. In order to survive you simply had to become stronger or die trying." The devil continued. "My Guild had lived in a relatively normal home when compared to other guilds. It was a healthy companionship between us, basically like a familia. Instead of just temporary parties we banded together to be shoot together for new heights that alone would have been impossible to achieve."

"One day, another guild attacked us and destroyed our home. Many of our members died that day trying to defend it. The survivors disbanded the guild and left under not the best terms. What happened to them after that is something I do not know. I looked around to become stronger, took refuge in another guild for some time, before leaving again." Scyron concluded what he wanted to tell Eina. "I'm very familiar with losing friends and family to something. You just get used to it over time. That however never makes it a better experience though. So no, I'm not in need for a psychologist to ask me about my feelings and such. I'll have to overcome those myself on my own. Not just for my sake, but also their own. Otherwise, I might not be able to look into a mirror again as that would make their deaths be in vain."

Silence descended upon the two of them. After a moment, he demon looked around and spotted a man with shoulder-long blonde hair and an elf with long black hair looking right at him. Immediately, he felt his alarms ring in his head. Something was not right. The blonde man was a deity without doubt. But the elf girl next to him... she felt wrong.

"Eina, who are these people?" He asked. The half elf snapped out of her thoughts as she heard that and looked around.

"Ah yes. They are here for you Scyron-san." She said as she went over to them, said something and made her way back with the other two. Now Sycron even liked this situation even less than before. Perhaps it was his imagination, but he really felt under pressure when the two of them came over to sit across from him and Eina sitting next to him.

He could pretty much smell the scent of evil being radiated from those two.

"Scyron-san, this is Dionysus, the deity of Seneca and Roku's familia. And this Filvis Challia, a member of said familia." Eina introduced the two of them. Scyron's right hand instinctively closed to a tight fist as he really wanted to punch the blonde man right between his emerald eyes, however he really had to force his arm to not shoot out and stuff a knuckle sandwich into the god's mouth. He was bad news. He could tell.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Scyron-san. I am Dionysus. I came here to thank you for helping my two children." The man said in a smooth tone, but it felt for the devil as if someone had pushed sandpaper into his ears and was dragging them along. Not only that, but the deity extended his hand to him. Now Scyron really, REALLY needed a lot of self-control as slowly his fingers loosened up and formed a normal hand as suddenly his arm shot forward as if he was going to punch the god until he stopped right it at the Extended Hand and grabbed it firmly.

'WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH MY BODY!?' Scyron inwardly shouted as he had to actually keep the pressure applied to the god's hand to a minimum as he would probably break every single bone in the man's hand if he actually grabbed it as much as his body wanted to him to bleed and suffer for no other reason than this bad Feeling he got around him. "The pleasure is all mine, Lord Dionysus. But there is no need to thank me." The devil said as he quickly let go of the god's hand.

Meanwhile, Filvis watched the exchanged with a stoic face, but she was very observant as the devil could tell. Every move he made was registered by her. It was as if he was watched by a guard dog or a gargoyle. Or a shadow demon to be honest.

"Oh? Why would that be?" Dionysus asked. Scyron then really had to hold himself back.

"B-because of my own misinterpretations, many of your children were killed in that mountain. I'm truly sorry for that." He said as he put his hands on the table before him and lowered his gaze to his feet. The reason why he did so was not a sudden attack of guilt as Eina apparently suspected as she looked sad at him, but actually because the devil feared that if he didn't occupy his hands right now with tightly grabbing this table, he'd strangle this god right in front of everyone in a city dominated by gods and before the eyes of the Guild staff and the adventurers that usually fought monsters, not human beings. That would be a nasty thing to do.

"I see. It is true that I indeed am mourning for the death of my children..." Dionysus said as Scyron wanted to slam his fist on the table, break it in half and scream the word "LIAR! YOU DON'T CARE AT ALL!" straight into his face, before then doing the same with this man as he could tell that this god had just lied into his face. "However I know you have done your best to protect them. And it is thanks to you that two of my children have survived. I'd say I'm more indebted to you than I should feel Angry about your incapability to help them." He said. "No one is almighty. That is true for both mortal beings like yourself and my children as well as me and the other gods. So please don't blame yourself for what happened back there, when you have saved two of my children."

Scyron felt sick. Sick from just Looking at this man's face. He wanted it gone. Gone from the surface of this world as a whole. Not just this man, but every statue, painting and otherwise material proof that he existed to begin with.

"I see. Thank you Lord Dionysus." He said as the words felt like a buzzsaw being run over his tongue as he tried to diverge the topic to something else. "Speaking of them, how are they?"

"Both of them are quite shaken. It is very strange to see them like that and it truly makes me sad as their deity." Once more the second Dionysus said that, Scyron almost would have punched him in the face as he could feel actually joy coming from that guy. "Roku had always been a bit of an outsider and shy if you want to call it that, but he was still always full of energy and reliable. Now he's just angry and frustrated at all times. And Seneca... The poor soul always had been a delicate flower, but now it seems like she has been broken." Dionysus stated. "It might not possible for them to work as adventurers anymore after such an experience."

'QUIT YOUR FU****** DRAMA OR ELSE I'LL REMOVE YOUR TONGUE WITH MY CLAWS AND STICK ALL THE WAY UP YOU A** BY PUNCHING IT THROUGH YOUR ***** **** SO THAT YOU'LL NEVER EVER BE TO **** YOUR **** YOU PIECE OF ****** **** ******* *****!?' The demon almost shouted into the god's face, but tried his best to hide his mood under a sorrowful facade. "I see." The devil averted his eyes from the deity to somehow suppress the urge to kill him with a overranked spell right away, if it wouldn't also mean to nuke the entire city to kingdom come that was. "Now then, is there anything else you'd want from me?"

"Indeed." Dionysus said. "As a deity, my familia is my Family and its members my children. Therefore, as a concerned father, I'd like to know how my children met their end. Just... how did this happen?" A sad look appeared in his eyes, but for Scyron it was as fake as the pot plant in his apartment back on Earth. It looked good, but it was fake. However, the question confused the devil. Why exactly did this god want to know about this specifically?

"Well, the group split up in two after entering a cross section within the tunnels. What happened to those members is something I can't tell, however given their remaining gear, it is safe to assume that they were killed and devoured by the monsters in there."

"Yes, my children said they were something… different. I asked them to give me one of the magic stones, but apparently they had none." Dionysus said.

'Dammit, I forgot about the stones!' The demon thought in panic. The slimes back then had been creatures from YGGDRASIL. Therefore, they had no magic stones. In fact, they didn't even leave anything behind when he incinerated them. If the Guild was not to send a courier over to actually confirm the claims they probably couldn't even tell whether the quest was fulfilled or not.

"Yes. We were too busy running away from them to collect any stones. We simply rushed in and destroyed their nest before getting out as soon as possible." Scyron lied, while Dionysus hummed in thought.

"And what were these monsters?" Felvis asked for the first time opening her mouth. Immediately all the hairs on the demon's neck stood up as if he was a cat or something. He felt her gaze on him and immediately saw a passive hostility towards him. Sighing he then put his Hands on his lap. For some reason looking at the god made him want to punch him until he was broken, bloody and dead, but this girl felt more like a monster from the dungeon seeing him as an enemy.

"They were creatures I came across my travels across the land." He said as he earned raised eyebrows from Eina and Dionysus, but not Felvis, who kept looking at him with an unreadable stoic face. "They were a sort of creature called slimes. Slimes are basically amorphous blobs of liquid that eat by engulfing their prey with their body and digest them. Slimes are mostly poisonous or acidic because of that, though there also exist types that live in molten Lava or in bodies of water." Scyron said.

"I never heard of such a monster." Eina admitted.

"Me neither." Felvis said as she looked at bit intensive at the demon, before closing her eyes. "However, I can tell you are telling the truth."

'Really?' Scyron thought. "Are you doubting me?"

"For as far as I can tell you may as well have killed them all on your own." Felvis said without missing a beat.

"Felvis-" Dionysus started, but was cut off by the devil.

"She is right. I shouldn't take her trust for granted." He said, before meeting her red eyes with his own. "Because of their corrosive nature they left nothing behind except half molten armor and weapons. No bodies to recover. I again apologize for that. If I could have, I'd have at least brought the bodies back for a proper funeral to their families." The demon once more lowered his gaze.

"It is fine. Now then it is getting late isn't it? I believe this should have been enough action for today." The god said as he stood up. Scyron agreed at least on that part. He really wanted to go to sleep now that the setting sun was painting the room in a warm orange light alongside the sky. Then Dionysus extended his arm once again. "Once more, I thank you for your services. I hope we meet again under more pleasant circumstances." He said with a smile. The way he did and said 'pleasant' made Scyron want to break his hand and arm...and Maybe his crotch and hipbone…and his spine.

The devil stood up and this time controlled himself better as he grabbed the deity's hand to shake it lightly.

"So do I." The devil said, before giving Felvis a short bow as to say goodbye. A gesture she returned, before leaving the building right behind her god. Scyron kept looking after them for a while, before turning to Eina. "I'll be leaving now Eina. Take care." He said before leaving, not waiting for the brunette half-elf woman to say goodbye to him.

In the dungeon

The 18th floor of the dungeon was a quiet place. No monsters spawned and those that came here from the upper or lower floors were usually docile. It was the first safety zone within this dungeon after all. A perfect place for Scyron to hide something. When the dusk had become darker and the floor was dark like the world outside, the devil wore his usual demon outfit with the skull like mask and teleported right into the floor.

Silently like an owl he descended into the forest area of the Floor and at a large enough Clearing he landed. Looking around and Feeling no one nearby, he proceeded with the next step.

"[Gate]." With the spell casted a tear in space appeared before him as it widened and the worm player crawled inside the dungeon. Once his long body was fully inside the portal closed.

"Finally. Do you have any idea how it is to wait the whole day for you to get me here?" The worm player complained. "I even had to stay the whole day in one position so you could open the [Gate] at the right place. It was so boring!" He whined.

"I start regretting having agreed to this." Scyron said bluntly, ignoring the insect player's complains.

"Alright then what's the plan now? You know what, how about you tell me first where we even are?" Reiji said.

"We are currently inside the dungeon on the 18th floor..."

"18TH!? JUST HOW BIG IS THIS THING!?" Reiji screamed so loud he didn't doubt that he might just have woken up the entire adventurer town nearby. Though he really doubted that they could understand Reiji's shouting in japanese anyway.

"Yes. 18th. As for how deep, I'd presume...66 floors." The devil said with a mischievous grin, while the worm sweatdropped at this.

"I know what you did there." Reiji said. "So why are we all the way down here?"

"First of all, the floors are relatively big in comparison to usual dungeon floors from YGGDRASIL, however the monsters… you'll see soon enough. Secondly, anything between the 1st and 12th floor are the upper floors. 13 to 27 are the middle floors and anything from there are the lower and deep floors. A room similiar to this safety zone is down on the 50th floor, though I doubt you'd want to be that deep underground. No monsters spawn here and there is a small settlement made from adventurers set up, which you probably want to stay away from unless you want to be hunted, but for what I want to show you we are going up to the 17th floor. Come." Scyron said as he walked in front of the insect towards the entrance of the 17th floor.

After climbing up, which was really easy with 6 pairs of wings to fly with and dozens of legs to carry you up even on the steep surface made of glass, the two players stood before a large crystal wall as the room started to shake.

"W-What's going on?" Reiji asked.

"Just wait." Scyron said when out of the wall the first monster rex of the dungeon appeared in all his nonexistent glory, the Goliath. His glory was nonexistent as he was basically a naked giant without anything that would make him glorious to begin with. No armor, no weapon and just a menacing red glow in his eyes.

Reiji looked up the large monster as its gaze fell on him. For a moment both insect and giant looked at one another. In the next, Reiji used [Silent Cast Magic] in combination with a 7th tier spell called [Acid Rain]. It was an AoE spell covering the entire room's ceiling as above hung a black cloud with a strangely yellowish green hue in it. Immediately as the first drop of acid touched the goliath's flesh it burnt sizzling into it while the monster roared in pain and trashed around, though only for a few seconds as the acid simply ate its way through the hair and skull into the brain, reducing the boss monster to a mental vegetable.

Scyron meanwhile had casted a [Magic Shield] over himself as he watched the Acid run down the membrane of magic and landed on the ground as it ate away the floor. Finally, the rain stopped after the few seconds it had lasted and the air was filled with the stench of blood and hydrogen as the goliath was still alive, but so badly wounded that it couldn't even stand anymore with its achilles' tendons servered. Its meaty arms and hands were reduced to bloody lumps of gore as several fingers were missing. And the head and face was material for nightmares to say at least as the acid had done more than just reduce the amount of flesh and skin on the bones, before eating its way into the bones as well.

All in all, it looked more like a giant zombie as it was rotting on the ground and breathing heavily in painful pants.

Through all of this Reiji had not spoken a single word. Not even when he extended one of his tendrils into his inventory, pulled a sword out and cut the dying goliath's head in half, before it disintegrated into ashes and a large magic stone. Another moment of silence followed. Then Reiji finally spoke up.

"This...was one of the boss monsters of this dungeon?" He asked.

"Yup."

"And it is actually considered something to actually beat those, right?"

"Alone on a low level? Yes." The devil confirmed.

"B-B-But... But... h-how- w-w... wh-..." Reiji stuttered and stumbled over the words before he finally got a grip of it. "BUT THAT THING WAS SO SUPER WEAK!? EVEN A DEATH KNIGHT IS MORE OF A CHALLENGE THAT THIS TITAN!"

(Meanwhile in an alternative universe a certain Overlord of Death felt the urge to sneeze, yet couldn't as he was not able to do so for obvious reasons, while in another alternative universe a certain young man with a certainly Burning, deeply rooted hatred for titans felt a great disturbance in the force when those words were spoken.)

"I know. You get used to it." Scyron simply said, patting Reiji's back behind the head as the worm had no shoulders.

(Meanwhile in another alternative universe a certain young priestess could relate to those words.)

"Come on. Let's fill you in tomorrow. You better get back home. I still have something to take care of." Scyron told the giant worm.

"Yeah... WAIT WHAT?!"

"[Teleportation]!" And with that the archdevil had vanished from the dungeon.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?" Reiji shouted in japanese before he wandered alone down again into the 18th floor.

Ganesha's coloseum

The members of the Ganesha Familia had a Long and stressful day behind them. The Monsterphilia might be an annual festival they staged with pleasure, but it was still a pain to build everything up for one day and spend the night to tear it all down again for the next year. And as such many of the familia members were now cleaning up the main stage of this festival, the colloseum in which adventurers and monsters had fought during the day as the main Event with brooms and garbage cans to get rid of any garbage the visitors had left and to set the stage for any upcoming event.

After all it was Ganesha they were having as a patron deity and he was a party animal.

Apparently, just a few days before the Monsterphilia he had staged a party for the gods when the Denatus, the gathering of the gods had been canceled. And that meant that his familia had to build everything within just hours. Anyone who ever had been on one of the hindu deity's celebrations knew that Ganesha loved it big and pompous. With other words expensive and anything but easy to manage. One would wonder what one might all pick up by simply eavedropping on the people and deities in this city.

However, a certain guest of the colloseum was not here to clean up. No, he wanted to uncover something and get his Hands dirty in another way.

Without a sound, Scyron floated through the air, hovering several centimeters over the ground as he entered the room where the now empty cages resided. The monsters within had already been killed by the monster tamers in the arena...or set free for the rampage. In his arms he carried a single hellhound. The large dog didn't make a sound as its nose scanned the ground for anything, but thus far it had not reacted.

That was as the hellhound suddenly started growling of all Things. Immediately the devil panicked as the reason why he was hovering around was to make no Sound at all.

"[Total Silence]!" He quickly said in a hushed whisper as he fished out a scroll from his inventory and threw it in the air where the parchement opened before being eaten away by blue Flames and a weak blue glow surronded both him and the hellhound for a moment. Infiltrating the parameter had not required the demonic player to do so. Slipping past the guards was so easy, Ganesha might as well could have put a massively large neon sign with lots of colorful Lights on it with the inscription "UNLOCKED AND UNGUARDED COLLOSEUM ENTRANCE HERE!" and an even larger cartoonish arrow pointing at the arrow to said entrance on the side of the Building.

… Given the nature of Ganesha's personality and the undoubtful advancement of Technology with enough time he actually could do that in the future.

But it was no matter right now. Scyron slipped inside and summoned a hellhound to help him find any traces of someone else than the Ganesha familiar. This even had required the dog-like demon to sniff right at the deity through a window to the arena while he was cleaning up alongside his children with a broom while being his usual careless happy-go-lucky self, while posing for no one but himself.

To be honest, Scyron didn't know what was weirder. The fact that Ganesha, one of the most prominent deities from Hinduism was technically some sort of party animal? Or that the devil had come across such players with equally friendly personalities during his times in the game? He couldn't tell for sure.

Anyway, with the sound no longer being an issue to find out what was going on here, the archdevil lowered his overgrown demonic dog a little as he began to growl even harder and louder. Slowly they approached a relatively large cage with nothing, but broken chains in it. Scyron gave an impressed whistle at this.

'Whatever was in there, even those guys had a hard time containing it. Then again, apparently not even their beast tamers do their job as good as in YGGDRASIL as they don't actually make monsters their pets... I should stop thinking about it like that. This isn't a game after all goddammit.' Scyron thought as hellhound suddenly started barking. To be honest it was as if he was not holding a large demonic beast in his Hands that easily could turn the majority of Level 1 and 2 adventurers in Orario into ashes with just exhaling its flame breath, but an angry shiba inu or a really angry chihuahua.

The reason why the dog was so upset with the situation was apparently a silver colored hair on the ground. Seeing that this was actually the reason for his dog's behavior, Scyron tried something.

"[Create Greater Item]." He said as he tried to mentally picture what he wanted to make. With a flash a bag appeared in his hand. He was a bit disappointed about the lack of a zipper or any sort of method to close it permanently or the fact that it was not plastic, but it would do. The demon set the hellhound down and picked the hair up with the bag around his hand, which was quickly shut and stored in the inventory.

"Good boy." He told the hellhound, petting it on the head, before it disappeared with a whine. The devil then teleported away into an alley to return back home. For he knew a piece of divinity when he laid eyes on it and that hair was radiating it.

Top of Babel

Freya was looking down upon the world as she smiled to herself. Today had been a full success in pushing one of her objects of desire into action. Bell Cranel, the boy with a soul so pure and white. There was nothing outstanding about him on the first glance, but Freya saw the Unlimited potential in the boy. He could become whatever he wanted. She wanted...no needed to have him. Even if that meant taking him away from Hestia. Though there would be another chance in the future. The silverback she put on the short buxom goddess of the Hearth had failed to catch its prey, but that only had pushed her lovely Bell in the right direction.

However, deep down she felt like she was missing something. Something important.

Earlier this evening she spoke with Loki, who told her about some strange snake like flower monster that attacked her children and actually wounded one of them pretty dangerously. If it had not been for that other one she wanted to meet in person so badly, Scyron she might even have died back then. However, Freya knew she had not released such a monster. It had not been within the cages of the Ganesha Familia at all. So what was going on hidden from the Norse goddess of lust, war, beauty and love.

It was then when a soft knocking at her door greeted her.

"Yes." Freya said as she knew who it was. Ottar stepped inside and held a few sheets of paper in his hand.

"We have asked several people about what happened out there when Scyron fought that monster." Ottar said. Freya extended an arm and Ottar handed her the papers he had carried with him. Quickly the goddess' eyes flew over the text, her fingers gripping the parchment and her breath becoming quicker until all the tension was lost when she was at the end.

"Is that everything?" She asked almost sounding disappointed.

"Unfortunately yes. Right after this, he left the scene and appeared on different locations in the city, killing the rampaging monsters." Ottar said. Freya frowned at this. Reading about it was not as good as seeing it, but just as she was about to reach a little height for herself, her object of desire had vanished. It was as if the job was only down half the way, before it was put on a Hiatus for no reason. It was so frustrating. Ever since he appeared, he had been like a ghost, not to mention to be able to violently defend himself against her advances.

She just NEEDED to have that. The things one desired were mostly those one could not have as they were barely out of reach. And Scyron kept dancing before her nose like a hook with bait for a fish as it was constantly dragged away from her whenever she made an advance. It was as if someone was playing with her. She smiled at that thought as there surely was a way two could play that game.

Though for that the second party would first make itself noticable again with another move. One she might stir up herself as well.

Hostess of Fertility

"Ah! Welcome to the- Oh Scyron is back, nya!" Anya said as she noticed the armored devil entering through the front door. The YGGDRASIL player forced a smile on his lips as he really wasn't exactly in the mood to deal with the waitresses.

"Hey guys. I'm back." Scyron said as some of the guests actually lifted their mugs at this as he entered. Knowing fully well that he was living here and that he beat up the werewolf of Loki, had made him apparently rather popular among the guests of this establishment.

"Ah hello young man. One question though, what happened to your armor?" Mama Mia asked. Nodding in understanding, Scyron glanced down on his armor and the stains on it.

"Long and complicated story." He said.

"Oh I have time." Mia told the devil with a grin. One might say a devilish grin.

'Seriously, who of the two of us is the devil here?' He thought, before speaking up. "Okay, short and not complicated story, I crashed into some stand when that rampage happened a few hours ago. Still need to wash those later. Mind if I first go to my room and try to relax a little? It has been a few stressful days lately." The demon said.

"Huh? But what about your..."

"Anya, don't you have customers to take care off?" Mia said in a gentle but firm tone as the cat person waitress quickly scurried away to the customers to take orders or refill their mugs. Scyron took off his helmet, shooting the innkeeper a small smile.

"Thanks Mia. I don't think a tale like that would work well with such a joyful audience." He said quietly. Immediately, Mia's smile sank a Little as she knew what something like that meant. She hadn't been an adventurer without ever facing death before after all.

"Don't worry about it. Just try to not make too many stains up there, cleaning up those stains is a pain." Mia said as she gave the demon a small nod as if saying "Take a load off." To be honest, Scyron was very tired. Not physically as his game avatar body had yet to experience true exhaustion, but mentally. He was beat up in his head. So many Things just happened all at once and he was not sure how he was going to sort his thoughts to get around everything as he walked to the stairs.

He went on a quest with 12 other adventurers to subjugate some monsters and found another YGGDRASIL player like himself in this world, but at the cost of 10 of their lives. Well, actually all 12 since Seneca and Roku had technically been dead for several minutes before he brought them back to life. Speaking of which, he found it rather strange that Dionysus was not interested in such a thing. Could it be that the deities couldn't tell when their blessed Children would die? It seemed rather strange, but first he'd have to find out what the deal was with this prince charming Looking deity.

After all, not even Loki's perverted mind for her female children had set him off that much. Something was definitely wrong with that bastard and he was going to find out what it was before making him suffer.

Then the Monsterphilia happened and now that was left was a single silver hair, radiating divinity like a beacon. To be honest, he had an idea how to find out who that Person was, but that would require him doing something that he actually didn't want to do. And then there was that new plant Monster that had the same strange magic stone as those caterpillars from the 51th floor.

Something wasn't right. Something was going on. Something was hiding in the shadows and doing something without him noticing it and he did not like that foreboding feeling of an even bigger catastrophe in his guts.

Those were his thoughts, before everything in his mind slowed down to the point of total staganation when he saw Syr and Bell of all people as the waitress said something into the white-haired boy's ear that he didn't expect.

"I have been there too. I saw some of the battle. And I actually fell in love with you."

*THUMP*

Both Syr and Bell, who's face was bet red by the way, looked down the stairs as they spotted Scyron standing there as his mind tried to piece together what Syr had just said, while the sound came from his helmet landing on the stairs. Soon enough a sly smile was crawling its was on the devil's face. An impish no truly devilish smile poorly hidden by a hand in front of his mouth as he faked shock.

Meanwhile, Syr and Bell's faces both became even redder than before, though in Bell's case it was worse as his pale skin pigmentation made it more intensive. Meanwhile the waitress stammered something he could not understand, but given her red face, he was sure what she wanted to say as her hands failed to make any gestures.

"My, my, my, Syr! I didn't think you'd be so bold, but to be honest that's one of your more likable traits." Scyron said as he climbed up the stairs. "Just make sure you tell me, so I can stay the night in the dungeon and you get all the late night privacy you need before you seal the deal, okay?" He said as he swore that the aspect of the sin of lust was doing the talk more than he did there.

(Just because his aspect of lust was a perverted sado-masochist didn't mean he didn't want others to experience it.)

Immediately after that, Syr rushed down the stairs with a tray hiding her blush, but not before saying "I got to go. See you later." more like a rather loud whisper. Scyron's eyes followed Syr downstairs, before she disappeared and the devil locked his eyes on his next target. The completely caught off-guard white haired boy.

"To be honest Bell." Scyron began to climb the stairs up as he gazed at the poor boy's eyes and blushing face. "When I left you with a cold and an advice to get stronger, I didn't exactly expect you to make such leaps in such a short time. I mean, this much progress in just a few days. Other men would need years until they get a girl to say those words to them or talk to them to begin with." The devil finished climbing the stairs as he watched Bell shaking on the ground still not able to process all of it.

"I-I think she just wants to make fun of me." He told himself, but with a light swat on the boy's back from his bony tail, before quickly hiding it again, Scyron managed to bring the Boy back into reality, who looked at the devil rather shocked.

"Hey c'mon now." The devil pulled the boy on his feet again by the back of his collar as he smiled at Bell and put a hand on his shoulder with a large smile. "She openly admitted that she actually is in love with you. Most guys I know would not even hesitate when such a girl would do that to them. I mean, she is really pretty and about your age, isn't she?" The devil's words made Bell's face grow hotter again as he averted his eyes from the demon.

"W-well I can't really say no..." A hand on his head, patting and ruffling up his hair, stopped Bell.

"See? That's what I'm talking about. What are you waiting for then? A girl like her is most likely surrounded by guys that either are dumb enough to ignore Mama Mia and the rest of the staff, or are simply ambitious in trying to win her heart over. And from the looks of it you are both accepted by the staff and Syr herself. So go for it tiger." Scyron laughed, but it was short-lived when he sensed worry in the young adventurer as his eyes were on the room behind them.

"Kid, I forgot to ask, but why are you here in the first place?" Scyron said as his face was now serious.

And so Bell told him what had happened today. Anya telling Bell that Syr had lost her purse. Hestia and Bell going on a date together during the festival. A giant silverback running loose and for some reason attacking Hestia alone as if it was a trained attack dog. And finally his fight with the silverback, ending with him defeating it just barely with the knife Hestia had someone made for him and updating his status in the middle of the whole chaos, though also with Hestia falling unconscious after it was over.

By the end of the story, Bell sat on the ground, leaning against the wall next to the door and sulking, and Scyron standing with his arms crossed, leaning against the railing of the staircase. A heavy silence followed.

"Looks like you got it rough too today, huh?" Scyron said, breaking the ice. "I don't really want to start a competition in who had the worst week, but I guess it's only fair to tell you my sad story of the week." And so Scyron told Bell about the quest, the deaths of the fellow adventurers and the monsters out there as well as him getting two survivors who were now just a bit less apathetic than a lifeless piece of furniture back home to Orario.

By the end of that, the Boy looked shocked at the devil, who kept his head down with a small frown on his face.

"You see Bell, we are living in a profession where a single wrong step, a wrong calculation can mean life or death not just for ourselves, but others around us too. Don't beat yourself to death for what happened today as it was outside of your power to even prevent it. You may think that being and adventurer is the easy way to be a hero, but being able to swing a weapon... that's even something those dumb orcs in the dungeon can do." The archdevil said. "A hero is someone who saves others in need, regardless of the danger for themselves and put the wellbeing of others before their own. You fought with all your strength and gave it your all. When your body was on the verge of giving up, you didn't. Even when your weapon broke, your spirit did not. And that is something I can respect." Scyron looked at the boy, who looked up in surprise. Whatever he did expect, it had not come and instead he earned praise.

"You, Bell Cranel, can be a hero if you really want to. Today you have proven those wrong you called you at the beginning of this weak a spineless weakling, because no spineless weakling would have thrown themselves in the way of danger to protect someone they cared about like you did today." Scyron said as he offered an honest smile to the boy and got on one knee to meet his eyes on the same level. "The way up ahead to be a hero is not an easy one, but those that follow it to the end are truly deserving of that title. Now stand proud Bell for what you did today was truly heroic."

Another moment of silence descended between them.

And it was this moment, that Scyron felt that he actually said something super awkward and cheesy.

'Okay seriously now, what the hell is wrong with me?! I may love superheroes, but this is just super embarrassing! UGH! I want to sink into the ground and never return to the surface for one or two millennia or so or how long it may take for all traces of me to be erased by the unforgiving flow of time!' The player mentally groaned.

"Are you always going to talk like that when we meet?" Bell asked a bit unsure what to make out of the situation. In that moment, Scyron almost fell face first on the ground, before chuckling (clearly to hide his own embarrassment).

"Only if you need some extra motivation, Bell. Only when you need some extra eotivation." The devil said as he stood up again. "Next time you are in Need of help, use that item I gave you. Don't worry. Just blow in that horn and help will come. Now then, I got to hit the feathers now. Today really was something. Are you going to stay here?" He asked.

"Well only for tonight as long as Hestia gets back on her feet." He said. Scyron nodded.

"I see then. Well then I wish you a good night."

"Bell?" A female voice behind the closed door of a certain goddess made both Scyron and Bell look at the door, before Scyron actually patted Bell's shoulder again

"Go get her tiger." Scyron said with a last smile before he turned around and vanished inside his room. Immediately upon closing the door behind him, the demon was greeted by the Shadow Demon he had left in the room as a guard, as it rose from the ground, but only about as high as Scyron's knee. The devil kept smiling at this. "I'm home." He said, before he put his armor back into the inventory. Switching in lighter sleeping clothes, the devil stretched his 6 wings and his tail a last time, before he laid down on his bed with his hands behind the back and staring up the ceiling.

'This boy... Heh. Maybe humanity has still a chance on this world when there's people like him. I wonder what he might become. Still, I got to find out whoever, that was with the Monsterphilia. Maybe my little spy at Loki's place can shed some light on that. After all, her child was injured and luckily no one else. And then there's Reiji. If the two of us are here, nothing speaks against others being here as well. Whether that's good or bad is something to yet unfold itself. Oh well, I thnk for today I've had enough. Tomorrow will be another day.' Scyron thought before falling asleep content with himself and leaving all his past regrets behind.

And that's it folks. Thank you for reading and for waiting so long for me to continue. It took some time, but here is this chapter is finished. Well I was almost done with the grammar issues, when suddenly my laptop crashed for no reason and all that progress was lost. Also my Microsoft Word is not fixing those mistakes of captial letters automatically, so I had to go through the entire chapter myself. For two Hours.

To be honest if it had not been for A Certain Scientific Accelerator as a series last year, I probably wouldn't have Scyron lost his cool in such a way, but then again I need to put a few more flaws in his character. Unfortunately, I couldn't give Reiji some action, but that will be something for next time.

Well, I hope you enjoyed reading this chapter as much as I did writing is. Put your comments, opinions and suggestions in the reviews or send me a PM. No flaming, no hating. Critism is appreciated as always and with that I hope to see you next time. So have a nice day XD and for that the sake of that here are some omakes.

Omake: Lefiya's POV

Pain. Pain spread from her thigh into her body, numbing it. Her back landed on some stand. It was miracle her spine had not snapped in two.

She could see how Tiona, Tiona and that over man fought the strange monster.

Wait.

Why was he looking at her like that?

Why was he just keeping it down and no longer grabbing his sword?

From her perspective, Lefiya watched the nightmare take its course.

First, he tore a part out of the monster with just his bare hands, before he started torturing it.

The ground shook and more monsters came out. Lefiya wanted to stand up again, but her body had barely enough strength to roll over. In the process she fell down from the stand and hit the ground hard.

She looked up and saw how the monsters were suddenly cut into ribbons. A blade bigger than Lefiya herself spun in the air like a shuriken, before it was caught by the white-armored knight, before he approached the fallen and paralyzed monster.

And tore it to pieces with his hands.

The sadistic laughter echoed out of the helmet and those blood red eyes and the horned helmet made them look like a true demon. Then there was a large and bright explosion and Lefiya finally lost consciousness.

She swam in a sea of darkness. Without any feeling for what was around her. No sense for time, touch or direction. She was alone.

Lefiya cried out for help...

...But nobody came.

That was when she saw a light. "Aiz" was what her mind immediately told her. She called out her name, but the light and the figure in it didn't react. She started running towards it, stretching her arms out to it and finally reaching it...

"Uwah!"

*BONK*

"AAH!/OUCH!" Lefiya and another female voice cried out as the elf found herself in a room in the Twilight Manor. She was laying in a bed and sitting on this bed with a large bumb on their forehead now was...

"Lefiya, try to be a bit more gentle next time!" Loki said a little bit irritated before she had a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Though I do have to say I like a rough approach."

"Wha-What happened?" The elf asked as she noticed a large bloodstain on her dress. Safe for her shoes she was still in her usual clothes.

"Oh right. You were knocked out during a fight with a monster. That newbie Scyron defeated them and gave Tiona and Tione a potion to heal you." Loki explained.

"Huh? Scyron-san?" The elf didn't exactly have good memories regarding the new adventurer without a familia. Then again they only met once and that was not an actual meeting, but her being present when the devil in disguise beat the living daylights out of her senpai Bete Loga for talking bad about weak level 1 adventurers. As a rather weak member of the otherwise famous and strong Loki Familia she did not agree with Bete and would rather side with the stranger, but the way Beter was defeated with apparently no efford scared her.

And then there were these nightmarish memories of a white knight with a horned helmet, tearing monsters apart as if they were made of wet paper.

"So Lefiya-chan, how are you?" Loki asked.

"Huh?" The elf became more confused.

"Are you alright? I swear if that guy put anything funny into that potion I'll-"

"No, no! It's fine really." Lefiya quickly said as she touched the place where the arm like growth of the plant monster hit her, only to feel perfectly smooth and pale skin. It was strange though. Most potions needed a long time to work and there was usually still an aching pain left behind, but nothing was the matter here. "Its really gone…" Lefiya muttered as Loki suddenly seemed to have stars in her eyes.

"Really? You to be careful let's get a better look!" She said as she grabbed Lefiya's clothes and started stripping the poor elf girl.

"HIIIIYAAAAAHHHHH!?" Lefiya's scream was able to be heard through all of Orario and everyone knew it was just another normal day for the Loki Familia.

"Lefiya! Are you alright!" The door was suddenly slammed open by Tiona with Tione and Aiz Standing behind her as they saw Loki having already stripped down Lefiya's upper body, where no injury had been to begin with as the petite elf Girl covered herself with her arms. However the moment Tiona took a Closer look at the elf's chest area, which was bigger than her own, the Amazon pouted and dragged both Aiz and her sister away.

"Good luck you two." She said with cold anger as the door shut itself.

"NO WAIT! COME BACK!"

"LEFIYA-CHAN! LET ME MASSAGE THE PAIN AWAY!"

"NOOOOOOOOO!"

Yup, another normal day in Orario.

Omake: Gear, consumables and other expense factors

*RING*

"Thank you for your purchase!" A cheerful voice of some female seller said as Tiona and Tione carried several wooden crates staked on top of one another outside while Lefiya did the same, but unlike her amazon colleagues, she was having obvious trouble even lifting them and her stake was not even half as high as that of the twins.

"Lefiya, are you alright? You look like you got trouble." Tione asked worried.

"Don't worry. I'm fine." Lefiya said though she was shaking and sweating a lot as he face was bright red. "We just need to get this back home, right? We are going to go home now, right?" She asked.

"Yeah. Just the next few kilometers of detour to grab the rest." Tiona said. Lefiya turned pale like a statue at this as she sunk to the ground with her eyes having turned into spinning spirals.

"Detour, detour, detour, detour, detour, more stuff…" She muttered like a broken record.

"Lefiya!" Tiona and Tione shouted until a large shadow suddenly was over the trio of the Loki Familia. Turning around the girls came face to face with none other than the archdevil Scyron Infernalis and his newly aquired worm companion Reiji.

"Hello there." (General Kenobi.)

Later

The courtyard before the Twilight Manor burst open like an explosion, sending people flying and screaming as a large insect emerged from the depths of the Earth... as it was carrying lots of supplies for the Loki Familia's next trip to the dungeon's Deep Floors with it including Scyron, Lefiya, Tiona and Tione.

"Oh great the demon is here again." Bete groaned as he saw the devil again.

{The demon?} Reiji asked through using [Message].

{They don't know my real name, so shut it.} The archdevil replied, when Loki and Aiz approached the new arrivals.

"Oh hey mister devil. Got a new friend I see." The red-haired goddess said.

"Oh she can tell? Wait she's Loki? Wasn't Loki supposed to be a guy?" The worm asked confused. A Moment of silence later all of the Loki Familia shouted out their thoughts at once.

"IT CAN TALK!"

"Yes, I can. Now shut your faces, before I start liquifying you lot." Reiji shouted back.

"We met your children when they were shopping." Scyron said as he fished out a random item from one of the crates and pulled out a sword. Immediately, he frowned. "What is this?"

"A spare sword? You know for the case one is breaking." Finn said. Reiji and Scyron quickly exchanged a look, before the devil simply slammed the sword over his knee, breaking it in half.

"Hey what are you doing?" Loki shouted. "That all costs a lot of money!"

"This is not a spare Sword." Scyron stated firmly Holding up the broken handle of the sword. "This is garbage. Not even fit to cut a rope with it. I'd rather butter my bread with something like that. Seriously, where did you buy that junk?" The demon asked, but before one could answer the insect simply interjected.

"Who cares? Let's see what else on worthless items they have." Reiji said as a tentacles shot into another crate and fished out a potion. The liquid was green like an apple and not transparent. "So what did we got here? [All Appraisal Magic Item]."

"Uh... bless you?" Loki said confused.

"It's a spell that allows us to appraise any sort of item and get the Information of what it is directly into our heads." Scyron explained.

"Wait, did you just say any item? As in you can identify anything and you cannot be scammed?" Loki asked as her mind began to form plans.

"Yes. So we got a potion against posions, but with a 20% chance of causing diarrhea. Yeah, that's dumb. It's dumb to save people from poisoning when they just die anyway from losing too much water and shitting themselves in battle." Reiji said simply yeeting the potion away as it crashed to the ground and splattered across the pavement, thus wasting another large amount of valis. Actually a loud farting noise came out from one of the 5 stones the potion hit.

"A pot for making dinner. Alright let's see if its fireproof." Scyron said as he created a small flame from the tip of his finger. The iron pot immediately started melting like a candle, splashing across the floor and setting the weed and grass it touched on fire.

"A warhammer with fire attribute, but that breaks when used more than 4 times? Seriously, are we back in the Stone Age when magic weapons were actually so badly made that they destroyed themselves?" The blacksmith of a worm took seriously offense in that, but simply put the weapon down without breaking it as he thought about perhaps making it a permanent flame warhammer.

"Oh right this one is fantastic. It's a potion that is supposed to help against insect monsters by being a repellment, but any higher concentration that what is written here attracts plant type monsters. Yeah, but no thanks." Scyron said throwing the potion away as it crashed against one of the decorative evergreen trees (a thuja for those that want to know that). The tree suddenly started growing more rapidly before everyone's eyes, grew a pair of thick branck like arms and a large mouth with razorsharp teeth made out of bark and wood. The roots pulled out of the soil and acted as feet as the newly Born treant headed towards the city of Orario. People in the distance started screaming upon seeing the tree monster as it began its own killing spree.

The two players stopped doing their analysis as they looked at the Loki Familia disappointed.

"Seriously, for the 2nd best familia in all of Orario, you really suck when it comes to your gear." Reiji said. Scyron only nodded. That was when Aiz Held out her Sword.

"What about this then?" She asked in her monotonous voice as Reiji took the Sword and unsheated it. For a moment, he stayed quiet. Something that Loki interpreted as awe.

"Oh right. Your sword had the Durandal trait. Now you are speechless!" Loki said making a guts pose as she went on. "Weapons and constructs with the Durandal trait never break and are indestructible. Not matter what they'll never-"

*SNAP*

Loki's confident smirk was wiped from her face as Reiji simply snapped the weapon in two as if it was Nothing before repeating the process several times until only a worthless pile of scrap metal shards was piled on the ground before the Loki Familia. Scyron shot an 8th tier fire spell at it, melting the metal shards into a compact pile.

"Trash." The worm player simply said. To add insult to injury, the worm then proceeded to spit on the amorphous lump of metal as it was eaten away by the acid, leaving almost nothing in its wake.

Aiz and Loki looked like their souls had just been sucked out their bodies as a pile of several ten-thousands of valis laid before them in form of a worthless pile of mostly dissolved lump of metal. The rest of the familia wondered if all that was considered trash for them, including a (normally) unbreakable weapon with the Durandal trait, what was considered useful to them.

Then again, they didn't really wanted to find out about that when they so easily broke their expensive items.

Neither Scyron nor Reiji paid for the detroyed items as they stopped destroying their worthless garage sell goods for the sake of their own sanity as they both felt how the stupidity of the situation was eroding both of their minds, before vanishing through the same hole in the ground that they came from.

Reiji was no longer allowed to enter the vicinity of the Twilight Manor, but the worm player did so anyway because he honestly didn't care about what that goddess said or did. The treant was later killed by Scyron after it had wandered all the way through the city to the Hostess of Fertility and almost destroyed the building.

Omake: Dog Days

Scyron had summoned a hellhound to find the culprit behind the Monsterphilia incident, but now it didn't go away and simply acted like a normal dog.

A normal pitch black dog with blazing red eyes and the ability to breath flames that could melt steel beams.

"Come on Boy. Fetch it!" Scyron said throwing a ball across a street of Orario. The dog demon followed immeditately, but unfortunately the ball crashed through a window of Hephaestus' workshop. Afterwards one could hear a lot of screams from the inside as the building caught fire and the hellhound simply ran out with the ball in its blazing jaws. Behind it the building exploded in a giant fireball.

Playing fetch was off the list.

"Alright then. Where is Hestia?" The archdevil asked. The hellhound tilted its head as it didn't understood for a moment, before running off. Someone screamed in panic in the distance, but it was revealed that it was just Hestia as the hellhound had pounced onto the midget goddess and proceeded to lick her face like an overgrown puppy.

"Okay. Now sit." Scyron said.

The hellhound sat down on his butt.

"Lay down."

The hellhound did that too.

"Roll over."

Again the demon followed the command with flying Colors.

"Shake."

A paw was extended to the dog's owner.

"Now speak."

"Bork!"

*FWOOOSH*

A stream of fire hit the demon right in the face, leaving it a bit black in the process. However, Scyron simply smiled and began petting his dog and rubbing his belly when he rolled over like the big pupper he was.

"See Loki? My dog is better than yours. He at least follows commands." The archdevil told the red-haired goddess, who looked at Bete with a look of disappointment. "Yes who is a good doggo? Yes you are."

"ROOOOOOO!" The canine monster howled. (Translation: Am good boye! Please gib more belly roobs and chickem nuggers!)

"I wanna trade." The goddess of mischief then proclaimed, earning her the complains of Bete Loga.

"WHAT NO!"

"He is right." Scyron said with crossed arms. "Because my dog is worth far more than your noisy brat."

"Fuck you! And fuck your stupid ******* dog!" Bete shouted, when Scyron's eyes turned completely red and his human-like form surrounded by flames as a large shadow of his true form glared down at Bete.

"What the hell did you just say about my dog!?"

Bete Loga needed to stay in the hospital bed for 3 weeks. If he ever talked shit about weak adventurers or Scyron's dog again, the archdevil promised him to put him through so much pain that he'd regret the day he had been born as a lesson that talking shit about someone's pet was not cool.

Don't drink and drive.

Omake: Hell's Kitchen

It was a normal day for Mia Grand as she stood up in the morning and prepared for another long day in her pride and joy, the Hostess of Fertility. Every day adventurers would come here for lunch or dinner and of course the cute waitresses, which were quite good in luring in male customers.

With a content smile she stepped into the kitchen, having a good feeling about this day.

*CRASH*

That was when she looked inside and saw chaos incarnate. A plate had been smashed on the ground, littering it with white sharp fragments, while somewhere else something was literally burning in a frying pan. If it wasn't for the lack of certain technologies in this world, the fire alarm would be blaring loudly.

And in midst of this chaos of her waitresses rushing from A to B stood a certain devil as he towered over Anya, pointing at a steak. Though Mia could see what the problem was…

"This is RAW! And full of tendons. It's as if you literally just tore that straight off a minotaur! Even a shoe's sole is easier to chew on!" He shouted at the girl, before he turned to another dish and stabbed a fork into the potatoes next to it, before putting it into his mouth. His face contorted in fury.

"Where is the sauce?! It has barely any taste at all!" He shouted.

"C-Coming!" Syr quickly came over with a bowl, before pouring some brown sauce over the dish. The devil in disguise took a sample of the sauce with his fork and glared at Syr.

"Too bitter! Do you want to get thrown at with your dish? If yes go to Ganesha and become a clown!" The demonic player raged, before his wrath was directed at Ryuu, who was using the same basin of breadcrumbs that previously had been used to bread fish for pork.

"WHAT IN THE NINE HELLS NAME ARE YOU DOING?!" He shouted at her, making the normally stoic elf girl actually look frightened, which surprised everyone. "If our customers want pork they want to taste pork. Not fish!" He then proceeded to grab two loafs of toast and slam them against Ryuu's cheeks, trapping her head between his hands and the bread. "What are you?"

"I don-"

"WRONG?!" The devil shouted louder this time. "You are an idiot sandwich. So what are you?"

"An idiot sandwich." Ryuu said as tears ran down her face.

Mia really started regretting having given this man a room in her inn as he was slowly taking over the restaurant.

On the other hand however, ever since he became sous-chef there had been a notable increase in income and customers.

So began another day in Hell's Kitchen.

Omake: Confrontation with God

"Eina, would you mind stop yelling? If you keep doing this, I'm going to be deaf." Scyron asked as he sat on the couch of the guild building. In front of him was his supervisor, Eina Tulle, who looked rather outnerved as she sighed and adjusted her glasses so that for a moment only

"Maybe I would IF YOU WOULD STOP CONSTANTLY GIVING ME A REASON TO!" Eina shouted at Scyron anyway, jumping out of her seat as she did so and the devil's patience was used up.

"SHUT THE HELL UP! YOU'RE SO DAMN ANNOYING!" He shouted back, while also standing up and now towering over the smaller half-elf woman.

Eina and Scyron then glared at one another. Both sides refused to look away or to even blink as the two of them simply stood there in silence

"Hump!/Hmpf!" The two of them finally broke eye contact with them simultanously looking away with a huff. Meanwhile, Bell Cranel stood sweatdropping in the background. Originally he had been waiting for Eina to finish her supervision on Scyron, but now he wasn't so sure anymore whether he should or shouldn't do so in her current mood.

"Why are you two like that anyway?" He asked, before walking around. This however caused him to accidently bumping into someone. "Oh I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to-

"Wryyy…" The sound came like a hushed whisper as every cell in Bell's being screamed to follow the natural instinct to either fight or flee. And in this particular instance to flee as fast as his legs could carry him. Looking up, Bell saw that the person he had bumped into was taller than himself, had a very muscular body, shoulder-long blonde hair and emerald eyes and seemed to be otherwise completely shrouded in shadows as the light behind this person was simply to bright.

Thought that was just Felvis carrying a really large and bright light with her to underline the dramatic entrance of her superior.

"Bastard... you dare to sully me with your filthy secretions?" The large man asked, though the edge in his voice was unmistakeable. In that Moment Bell noticed that some snot from his nose was now on the otherwise fine jacket of the person he crashed into.

"O-Oh no! I didn't mean to... I'm so sorry! I didn't-"

Then from one moment to another there was suddenly a large hole in Bell's torso as he was sent flying across the room and right into the tabel between Eina and Scyron.

"Bell-kun!" Eina shouted. "He was suddenly sent flying! Impossible!" The Boy's Body slided across the Floor a few more meters before finally stopping leaving a bloody Trail in his wake. "Bell-kun!" Eina ran up to the white-haired boy, while Scyron glared daggers at the man responsible for this as he pulled off his navy blue jacket revealing a black undershirt and thus revealing more of his muscular arms.

"You bastard." Scyron said as he started walking towards the blonde man.

"You dare to-" Felvis was about to lung at the devil as the god stopped her.

"Vanilla Ice. Stay back. This is between us men." DIOnysus said, before turning his attention to the devil. "Oh? You are approaching me? Instead of running away you come right at me?" At this point, Scyron shed his human disguise as his wings and tail became visible for all the world to see. Also for some reason his muscles seem to enlargen as he approached the Greek deity.

"I can't stuff thousands of spells up your ass without getting closer." Scyron said coldly, ignoring the taunt.

"Oh ho! Then come as close as you like." DIOnysus said, walking towards Scyron himself. The battle was inevitable.

That was until Scyron through a pebble at the switch of Felvis/Vanilla Ice's headlights, turning on the UV light.

"AAARGHH!" DIOnysus screamed in pain as he crumbled to dust. Silence reigned over the Guild building as the battle ended in such an unexpected and anticlimactic way, that Felvis stopped thinking.

"So what now?" Eina asked. Scyron snapped his fingers as Bell was healed and resurrected.

"Now..." He went over to a Jukebox, put a valis in and selected a song. "Now we can celebrate!" The demon proclaimed.

The entirety of the Orario spent the next 3 minutes with dancing, including the monsters and gods as the music echoed through the entire town and dungeon.
Except DIOnysus. He was dead.

The end

(Sorry, I just couldn't resist when someone has those three letters in that order in their name.)
