Hey guys how's it goin? I wanted to get this chapter out just because I'm enjoying writing it and stuff so hey, let's get on with it.

Natsu raced through the streets. He passed regular townspeople who had no idea what was going on and realized that they would get caught up in a battle if it did occur. Well that was good. He could end it fast. Natsu grumbled to himself before taking a sharp left. He found himself running straight into one Gray Fullbuster.

"Hey! Watch where you're going Pyro!"

"Shut it Popsicle Princess," Natsu said before laughing, "I see you got your ass handed to you!"

"Shut up!" he said dejectedly.

"Can't win em all," Natsu said before pausing, "Unless you're me!"

"Yeah yeah cocky bastard," Gray grumbled.

"What was that Droopy eyes?"

"You heard me Slanty," Gray said. Natsu laughed and smacked his friend, "Hey what the hell was that for?"

"Losing," Natsu cackled, "Alright, I've got places to be. Go back to the guild or find the injured and go help them."

"Yeah yeah whatever," Gray said before limping off. He grumbled to himself about not losing had he not had to stop himself. Natsu cackled at that.

"Yeah whatever Pyro, go kick Laxus's ass," Gray groaned.

"Planned on it Ice Queen," Natsu said. Natsu's senses tingled as he felt a large surge of magic power. That probably wasn't good for everyone that wasn't a mage. Natsu looked around before. His senses told him that whatever it was was above him. Strange. Natsu looked up and saw a ring of lacrima floating in the sky. They sparked with electricity and Natsu had to suppress a groan. That was going to be annoying. Oh well, it could be dealt with later.

Natsu growled and his magic spiked. All these innocent people. All the people who had come just to have a good time. All of his friends. They were all in danger. All because of some upstart brat who thought he deserved something he didn't. Gray and the master and Alzack and Levy and Macao and Gajeel and Erza and Mirajane, all of them. They had all been put in danger.

Natsu resisted the urge to let out a roar and instead channeled the energy down into himself and ran towards where Laxus was. His nose never steered him wrong. Eventually, he came to stand in front of a large cathedral or something like that. He growled and flames licked at the floor wherever he stepped. Fire practically poured off the salmon headed slayer and heat rolled off in waves.

Natsu singed the stone tiles of the building as he pushed the doors open. Well, he didn't really push them. It was more like the wooden doors crumbled to ash before Natsu could even place his hands on them. Natsu stood in the doorway and gazed upon the fully assembled Thunder God Tribe. Natsu watched the way the other three trembled and quaked in front of him. Laxus, however, did not seem to be worried.

"I see you decided to show up Pinky. Too bad Mirajane had to die for it," Laxus cackled.

"Choose your words carefully Dreyar," Natsu growled. His eyes glowed yellow and the heat in the room rose.

"Big talk from a weakling like you," Laxus said as he narrowed his eyes.

"I'll show you just how weak I am," Natsu said angrily. It took a lot to get him mad, but when it came to his family, he had a rather short fuse. Laxus's eyes flashed and the other three members of the team stepped forward. Natsu watched as Bickslow's "babies" quickly began to rotate around him. Evergreen moved her arms out in an arc and Natsu saw golden sparkles fly out. Cute.

Natsu stepped forward and swept his hand out. Flames erupted in a wave that flew towards them, splashing up off the ground and licking at their feet, "Move."

The other two stepped back slightly. Bickslow raised his visor and Evergreen lowered her glasses. The alarm shone on both of their faces even though they tried to put up a confident facade. Their eye magic shone though Natsu didn't care. He stared Bickow straight in the eye and waited. Bickslow's magic allowed him to steal one's soul by looking them in the eyes but he broke down at the feeling he got as he tried. He closed his eyes as he felt Natsu's own soul begin to slowly rip his out and shred it to pieces.

Evergreen didn't fare much better as she watched her teammate and friends collapse to the ground. Her magic pulsed and she tried to petrify Natsu but he simply walked forward and glared at her.

"I said move," Natsu said as he stepped closer. Evergreen's eyes widened and she channeled her magic into the glitter, causing it to explode. The cloud of smoke engulfed Natsu though she felt his magic spike. Laxus and Freed watched as Natsu's arm shot out of the smoke and grabbed the woman. They watched as she went flying into the nearest wall with burns covering her.

Freed stepped up, his own body becoming demonic as he used his magic to transform. He soon found out that it was fruitless. Natsu growled and watched in disinterest as Freed rushed at him. The green haired man drew his arm back to throw a devastating punch as he dashed forward but Natsu simply caught it as he threw it. Natsu quickly yanked his arm back and Freed slammed into Natsu's elbow. He wasn't completely inccapacitated by the attack and he drew back a bit. Blood leaked from his mouth. Natsu disappeared and Freed looked up as he felt Natsu bear down on him.

Natsu swung his leg in a wide arc and knocked Freed off balance, allowing the Natsu to grab the man by the hair and slam his face down into the ground. The force of the attack left a sizable crater. Freed struggled to get up but Natsu picked him up and slammed his fist into the green haired man's gut, knocking him out.

"You're lucky I'm being gentle, Laxus Dreyar," Natsu rumbled. Laxus narrowed his eyes.

"Who the hell do you think you are? Marching into my guild and claiming to be the strongest member of the guild when you're just some fake dragon slayer that couldn't handle it out in the real world!" Laxus yelled at the salmonete.

"Fake dragon slayer huh? You're one to talk aren't you?" Natsu asked, his tone biting.

"How did-"

"You reek of stolen magic," Natsu growled, "You're nothing but a weak copy. A little boy who can't handle the fame of his grandfather."

"Oh now you've gone and done it. As soon as I kick your ass, I'm going to activate my Thunder Palace and level the damn guild so I can build a new, stronger Fairy Tail."

"Kick my ass huh?" Natsu asked, "It took Gildarts one hit to take you down. I'll do it with none."

"I'd like to see you try, Dragneel," Laxus cackled and Natsu grinned wide.

"It's your funeral," Natsu said before straightening up. He stood up to his full height, chest out and back straight. He breathed out and the flames around him screamed with life, jumping until the smallest of them raged until it was twenty feet tall. Natsu roared and the energy spiked around him. A solid aura of crimson energy flew from him in every direction.

Laxus's eyes widened as the sheer mass of energy caused the building they were in the start tearing itself to pieces. Laxus felt the air around him surge towards Natsu and even some of the air within his own lungs. He found it hard to breathe as Natsu opened his eyes and the power spiked once again. His fangs grew longer and he sprouted wings and a tail. Two yellow horns slowly grew out of his temples and curled until they were full sized. Natsu's body became scaly and his nails grew razor sharp, like claws.

Laxus stumbled and fell to his feet as Natsu took a step forward. The sheer power shook the foundation of the building.

"Kneel," Natsu said simply.

Laxus's mouth was dry and he could barely formulate a sentence. He managed to murmur out a, "never" before he began to use his own magic, gathering a glowing golden sphere. A small magic circle with the Fairy Tail mark appeared in front of him and he found his breath. Laxus roared out and cast his spell. Pure, golden light engulfed the city and the inhabitants stared in wonder at the growing light.

Makarov Dreyar shuddered and shook in grief. To think his own grandson would go this far. The other members of the guild looked at the light and watched as it engulfed everything. After a moment, everything was white. And then it was all back to normal. Laxus groaned as he stood up. He looked around in front of him for any sign of Natsu Dragneel. There was none to be found. He laughed, almost hysterically before a lone voice spoke from behind him.

"Cute spell," Natsu said as he turned a glowing golden orb around in his hands.
