Hank stood in his office and watched as Erin walked out of the squad, she had taken the job in New York. Slowly he had lost his whole family in a matter of months Justin, Olive and Daniel, and now Erin. The only thing that hadn't kept him from breaking down and shutting himself off from the world was Jordan. His little girl was the only thing holding him together and if anything ever happened to her that would be it.
He stayed at the office for a little while longer before heading out and going home. In the blink of an eye everything changed for him. Justin died, Olive and Daniel moved to Arizona, and now Erin's leaving for New York. He didn't know how much more he could take emotionally nobody has ever had taken so much emotional pain the way he had in just months. Hank would go to his secret hideout when he needed some alone time, he wasn't the type of person to show his emotions in front of people not even Jordan.
After a 10 minute drive Hank arrived back to his house and headed inside. Jordan was watching tv with a blanket covering her, she hoped that her sister made the decision to stay in Chicago and not move. When the front door opened she paused what she was watching and looked to her father, she noticed the sad look on his face and then it hit her.
"Erin took the job?" Jordan asked, pain filled her voice.
"Yeah she did". Hank replied, his voice filled with pain and sadness.
Hanging his jacket up the older father went and sat beside his daughter, he wrapped an arm around her shoulder pulling her close then kissing her head. She was now all he had left. Jordan snuggled in her father's hold holding on tightly to him afraid he might disappear next.
"I'm not going anywhere daddy. Not now, not ever. No job, no school, nothing will ever make me leave they could offer me the best things in life but it won't be worth it. Family is the most important thing in life you taught us all that".
A tear slid down Hank's cheek and he wiped it away and kissed his little girl's head one more time. "You're all I have left Jo Jo".
