You asked and i 'finally' answered! here is alt 2 of the ending! enjoy!
"Lance, I need you to lay on this table, but you need to try to return to your original form. You are far too big in your current state." Shiro spoke, moving over a rolling table for Lance to lay on. The team had, of course, known Lance would risk his own life to save Lotor, that much was obvious. They were surprised that despite the risk of even the triplets being killed, he was still risking this.
Zethrid, the oh so tough galran, tried to convince Lance to just say his goodbyes and move on. As much as it pained her to have to say goodbye to her Galran Prince, risking the lives of three unborn babies was unheard of, especially when they had the mix of human, galran, and altean blood in them. They were already extraordinary as it were, losing them would be a tragedy.
However, Lance refused to change his mind, his response to her, was a simple, "A life without him, is no life at all." And that was that.
With everyone watching, Lance tried to calm down, he had no idea how he had shifted to his larger size in the first place, his body had done it on its own. He closed his eyes tightly, remembering the time Lotor taught him how to focus and shift the yellow sclera in his eyes to white when they were first heading to earth. It seemed like ages ago since everything had happened. He clenched his fists as he focused, remembering the smaller, thinner but muscular body he always had, and in a matter of minutes, he opened his eyes and looked around.
Lance was back to his normal height, eye level with most of the people on board. He turned his head and was surprised when long strands of brown hair slipped around his shoulders. He ran his hand through his hair. "I guess I don't know how to change my hair back yet." He said aloud. Despite the serious situation, Pidge let out a choked laugh, and Hunk's lips twisted into a small smile.
"Here." Keith spoke quietly, moving over and gathering up Lance's long hair, that was hanging past his shoulders, into a low hanging ponytail. Lance reached back to touch it, and turned to Keith. "Thanks..." He said, suddenly awkward. Keith had never really been nice to him. Even Keith seemed uncomfortable, but gave a small smile before moving away.
"Alright... let's do this." Lance said, lifting his body onto the table with ease. "Are you sure you still want to do this? The risks a-" Pidge started.
"I know the risks Pidge! I just need him back..." Lance snapped. The table was lined up with Lotor's, and Lance moved a hand over to slide into Lotor's hand. He gave it a gentle squeeze, his heart jumping. He could feel the triplets in him stirring too. They could tell their daddy was nearby, and that he needed help. 'We will save him.' Lance thought to himself and his children.
Lance closed his eyes, lacing his finger's between Lotor's as Allura started working. Her Altean markings glowing as she raised her hands and focused. Pidge moved over to her own monitors to check on Lance's vitals. Lance felt a tug pulling on his body, something, or someone was being tugged out of him.
"Everything looks good. Heart rate is normal, blood pressure is no-" Lance suddenly fell out of consciousness.
~.~.~.~.~.~
Moments later, Lance tried to force his eyes open, when he finally could, he realized he was no longer on the Castle. He was floating around in pitch darkness. He twisted his body around, looking for any source of light. "Hello?" He called out, his voice echoing back to him.
"Lance..." A voice spoke quietly, Lance whipped around and came face to face with Lotor. He was in his torn up battle armor, his long white hair gliding along the crack and along his face. His eyes look tired, and sad. Lance reached towards him, trying to move closer, but was unable.
"Lotor! I am here! We are here for you, we are going to save you!" Lance cried out, trying to reach for Lotor.
Lotor turned and made eye contact with him. His eyes light up at the sight of Lance, but they held a sadness within them. "Lance..." He breathed softly, moving closer until their fingers laced together.
"Bringing me back would risk the lives of our children.. I can't let you do it." He spoke. Lance felt his tears overflowing, gliding down his cheeks and dropping from his chin to whatever was beyond this void. "I can't live a life without you Lotor. I LOVE you. I won't give you up. Not now, not ever. We are suppose to get married, to have a life together." Lance begged, crying harder.
Lotor had a pained expression as he looked away. "It would be for the best."
"BULLSHIT!" Lance yelled, his eyes instantly void of any sadness. Only determination. "I am bringing you back and that's all there is to it. I will give you 99% of the lifeforce you gave me when saving me so many months ago. In return, I am keeping that 1% for the babies. No buts about this!" He growled. Lotor smiled softly at him, his fierce determination, his courage, it was one of the many things Lotor loved about his beloved prince. Lotor placed a gentle hand against Lance's cheek.
"You know I cannot deny you your wishes." He spoke, his eyes filled with admiration for Lance. Lance felt his eyes water with joy, he squeezed Lotor's remaining hand in his before they both closed their eyes and tried to focus.
Lance felt something prick at his mind, at his body. He felt a tug on his entire being, pulling the essence of Lotor out of him. He wanted both Lotor and their children to live, he was desperate for this. Desperate to cling to the happiness that he had finally grabbed hold of. He opened his eyes slightly to find Lotor slowly fading away, becoming transparent.
"Wait.. no! Don't go!" He cried out, panic seizing his heart and body as he tried to cling to the fragments of Lotor. Lotor completely vanished, and took Lance's voice with him. Lance screamed silent cries into the void, before darkness consumed him completely and he blacked out.
Seconds, minutes, days, who knows how long it was before Lance slowly regained consciousness. He struggled to blink as his heavy eyelids threatened to fall again. He heard voices talking loud above him, but couldn't make out any words. He struggled to sit up, but his body wouldn't budge.
"Wait.. I think he is awake!" He heard a high pitch voice speak, it sounded like Pidge's.
"Hey Lance! Can you hear us big guy?" A voice close to Hunk's spoke.
"You did it, Lotor is alive! And the babies are perfectly safe. Come back to us Lance." Allura's voice was distant, but he could make it out. His Lotor.. his babies, they were all OK. Lance felt his body relax, all the tension that had been building up in his muscles released all at once, and he felt himself fall into a sweet sleep.
Many hours later, Lance woke up, groggy, but alive as he took in his surroundings. He had been put in his old room on board the Castle. It had been untouched since he ran away with Lotor so long ago. His clothes, games, and empty food trays all thrown about in his room. He sat up slowly, a small lamp light was turned on and siting next to it was Lotor, his arms crossed as he dozed off.
Lance felt his heart lurch in joy the moment his eyes landed on Lotor, and he opened his mouth to speak as he moved to get out of bed, but ended up landing his left foot on a tray and sliding it across the floor, landing on the floor on his ass with a loud thud.
Lotor jerked away at that and stood up, alert for any danger. When he noticed it was Lance, he laughed lightly, bending down to help Lance up. "thank goodness you are with the living my kitten. I was worried."
He helped Lance up and Lance immediately wrapped his arms around Lotor's neck, burying his face into Lotor's neck and inhaling Lotor's delicious scent. It felt like ages since they had been together again. Lotor peppered kisses to Lance's forehead, humming as he danced his fingers along Lance's back, feeling the muscles and curves of his body.
"How I have missed you." He spoke softly. Lance felt tears overflow as he clung to his older lover. "I am.. s-so sorry about everything. It is all my fault! If I had just stayed behind, if I wasn't so stubbo-"
"Hush kitten." Lotor cooed, leaning back to smile warmly at Lance. "With your help, the universe is safe from my father's reign. You helped bring me back from the dead, and you have saved our children from a horrible fate. You are stronger than you can imagine Lance, and I will always love you and be here for you."
Lance exhaled lightly, tears slipping down his cheeks. "Until death do us part?" He whispered. Lotor laughed lightly.
"Not even then. We will be together for all eternity, whether it is here or in the afterlife."
Lance smiled brightly, leaning up as Lotor ducked his head, the two of them sharing a soft and gentle kiss. They stayed together in their embrace until the Castle had gotten close to earth and the two bid the voltron gang and Lotor's generals goodbye.
"You will still come to the wedding right?" Lance asked. Everyone raised their fists and yelled in agreement.
"Wouldn't miss it!"
"You betcha!"
"You know we will be there!"
The voices all melded together, and Lance smiled warmly at all of them. Happy to have a big family both in space, and on earth.
~.~.~.~.~
"Do you, Lance, take Lotor, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?" The priest spoke loudly, so the entire church could hear. The day of their wedding had arrived. Lotor had waited at the alter with admiration in his eyes as Lance had walked up to the alter in a beautiful white suit.
Lotor had also worn a white suit, his white hair tied in a loose ponytail that glided down his left shoulder. He had insisted Lance cut his hair, for as much as he loved Lance having soft white locks like he did, it felt out of place with Lance. Lance had agreed and his hair was back to the short wavy hair it once was, albeit white instead of brown.
The church was filled to the brim with beautiful lace and flowers of every kind. General Ezor had helped Lance's mom with decorating, even doing as much as to bring flowers from far planets in the solar system to help compliment the earth flowers. It was truly a wedding of two beings coming together as one.
All of Lance's family was there, even his sister Veronica who had come up to him before the ceremony to apologize for her horrible behavior. Despite how much he had hated her at that time, he loved his sister and welcomed her apology with open arms.
Along with Lance's family, the voltron gang, the generals, and even Lotor's mom, Haggard all sat with watering eyes and happy hearts. When discussing who to invite, Lance had mentioned Lotor's mom. And even though Lotor was against it, his mom had given him the betrothal earring and had wished him peace in the end. Now that Zarkon was gone and Haggard had no one to control her and her druids, she become softer and kinder. When receiving the invitation for the wedding, she had been ecstatic and was more than excited to come to the wedding.
"I do." Lance spoke softly, his eyes never leaving Lotor's and Lotor had the biggest smile on his face.
"And do you, Lotor, take Lance, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?"
"I do..." He whispered back, the two wrapped up in their own world. "Then without further ado, I know pronounce you husband and husband, you may now kiss the groom." The priest spoke, stepping back and bowing slightly to the duo. Lotor moved closer and took Lance's hands in his. Lance felt the soft coldness of the wedding band he had gotten for Lotor a few days before the wedding press against his fingers. It wasn't customary in Galran culture to have a proposal earring and a marriage earring, so the two opted to take Lance's earring out and place it back in during the ceremony.
Cheers and hollers echoed in their ears as their kisses deepened, Lance's mouth opening slightly as Lotor's tongue slipped inside. Everything about it felt right, and for the moment they were lost in their own world.
The reception had been glorious, delicious food made by Lance's family, and music all around as the two danced. Lotor wasn't much of a dancer and even though they had practice beforehand, Lance couldn't help the giggles that slipped from his lips everytime Lotor messed up or stumbled over his own feet.
Nearly everyone at the party had cried tears of happiness, both Lance and Lotor alike. After hours of dancing and laughing, the two had a big surprise at the end of the party by Lance's mom.
"Here, I want you to have this." Angelica spoke, handing Lance a small box. Lance opened it up and pulled out a small silver key. "W-what is this?" He asked, knowing the answer but unable to believe it.
"Why it is your own house sweetie!" Angelica clapped her hands, smiling warmly at her lovely son and his gorgeous new husband. "Mom.. this is too much!" Lance cried out, looking up ant Lotor and back at the key in his hand.
"Pfft think nothing of it! It is the small little house over on that hill. You know, the one your aunt Kelly and uncle John use to live in before they moved. That house has been vacant for years! Your dad decided to fix it up and now it is ready for you two love birds to live in and raise your children!"
Lance gaped at his mom, before turning and looking towards where the little house was. It was a gorgeous three bedroom house that overlooked the ocean. It was secluded enough that the family would have their privacy, but close enough to Lance's large family that they could come down and visit in just a few minutes.
"Mom... you shouldn't have.. thank you!" Lance cried, throwing himself onto his mom as he gave her a big bear hug. Angelica laughed lightly and patted his shoulders, squeezing him just as tight. "Think nothing of it! And Lotor," She turned her eyes towards Lotor who was speechless. "Welcome to the family hun!" She smiled warmly, extending one of her arms out towards Lotor. He smiled down at the small woman and allowed himself to be pulled into the group hug. "Thank you for your hospitality Angelica, and a wonderful wedding. I am proud to be your son-in-law."
Lance and Lotor continued to talk with a few guests before making their way towards their new home.
"Look! A garden!" Lance cooed, rushing over to a small garden of growing strawberries sat. Lotor laughed. "Be careful kitten, you are close to your due date, you don't want to be too hard on your body."
Lance stood up and turned towards Lotor. "Yeah, I know. I will be careful."
Lotor walked up to him, running his fingers along Lance's cheek as the night breeze slipped through their hair. "You are gorgeous." Lotor spoke softly. Lance stared up at him with adoration in his eyes, before suddenly squeaking as Lotor picked him up bridal style. "I believe this is a custom of yours?" Lotor asked, walking towards the house and unlocking the door with one hand.
Lance blushed. "Yeah but that doesn't mean we have to do it!"
"Please, I want to do everything right. Everything to make my beautiful grooms night the best he has ever had." Lotor spoke, walking inside and close the door with his foot. He admired the house for a minute before walking towards the master bedroom and laying Lance gently on it.
"Kiss me." Lance spoke, raising his arms up towards Lotor. Lotor chuckled, loosening his tie as he ducked down to press soft chaste kisses to his lover's lips.
The two spent the night kissing and cuddling, as Lotor refused to do anything with the babies so close. It was heaven.
A few days later, Lance was getting closer to his due date, and Lotor had been hired by Dr. Bullock to come to her clinic everyday for a few hours to explain more about the galran culture. Lotor knew he would have to buckle down and get a job, though he hoped once the babies were born and were older, they could go back to space, as the Galran empire needed a king, and Lotor was in line for the crown.
Lotor had just gotten home after his 4th day of going into the clinic, and when he walked into the house he heard whining. "Lance?" He called out, setting down his jacket and looking around the room. He noticed pillows from the couch had been taken, as well as the cushions.
He followed the whining into the master room, and almost laughed at the site. Galran pregnancies were not easy to deal with, nearing the end of the pregnancy, galran people tend to get into a nesting mode, which was what Lance had entered.
On the bed, a glorious fort had been made of pillows and cushions from all the rooms. Blankets had also been taken from the closets and their future children's bed. All had been used to make the fort. Lotor moved closer, looking inside the small opening Lance had created.
"Well hello there my kitten. You have made a lovely nest." He smiled at the sight. Lance was asleep, whining loudly in his sleep as he curled into himself and the nest he had made. Many of Lotor's clothes, both dirty and cleaned, had been used to make the inside of the nest. Lance had one of his jackets held tightly in his arms as he slept. The bulge in his stomach was more noticeable now, but still small compared to most people when getting close to child birth.
Lotor stripped out of his shirt and pants, leaving him only in his boxers and a tank top as he slowly climbed into the fort. Lance woke up when the bed dipped down to hold Lotor's weight, and he blinked hard as he took in Lotor's figure.
"Lotor..." He whispered, reaching out to pull Lotor against him. Lotor landed on his side with an oof, and wrapped the smaller boy in his arms as the two fell asleep in Lance's little nest. The two of them would be great parents, Lotor just knew it.
~.~.~.~.~.~
10 years later.
"Come on daddy! Let's go!" little Honerva yelled, waving her arms frantically as she rushed towards their small ship. The strain of giving birth was hard for Lance, but with the help of Lotor and the doctor's performing a c-section, each of the triplets had made it into the world with ease.
The first one to have been was Honerva, a fiesty little one with bright blue eyes, a white sclera, and purple skin. Her hair was a mixture of brown and white and she loved to have heir hair up in a ponytail. By the age of 5 she had grown altean markings, and at times was unable to control her ability and would often shapeshift into things that were not of earth.
The second child to be born was their other girl, who Lance named Angel, a shortened name in honor of his mother. She had tan skin like Lance did, with light golden eyes and pointed ears. Her hair was all brown and she preferred to keep it short. She was a shy girl, not as spirited as her older sister, but she loved to play.
And finally, the third child was their little boy, who they named Percy. Percy was doted on by his sisters, and the smallest of the three. Despite this, he was as vocal as Honerva. Percy had white curly hair, blue eyes with a yellow sclera, and tan skin. He had no signs of Altean markings, but both Lance and Lotor sensed something powerful about him.
"Are we gonna see Auntie Acxa, Ezor, and Zethrid?" Angel asked, tugging on Lance's hand as they walked towards the ship. "Don't forget Aunt Narti, Angel." Lance spoke, smiling down at his little girl. She beamed up at him. "Oh yeah! She is just so quiet." Lance laughed.
Up ahead, Honerva, Percy, and Lotor were loading up the ship with clothes and other necessities for their trip to space. Lotor had become King of the Galran Empire a few years ago, and while Lance was technically a king too, he didn't care too much about being a ruler, so much as just standing to the side and supporting his husband.
They were off on their monthly trip to space to visit the Voltron gang and the generals. The triplets had no problem at all welcoming their space friends into the family, and all of them refused to call them just by their names. The titles "Auntie" and "Uncle" had been placed very quickly.
As Lance and Angel got closer, Percy perked up and ran to greet them. "Mommy! Are we gonna do the blog again?" He asked eagerly.
A few years back Lance had come up with the idea to do a family blog. Since they are constantly going to space and visiting new planets as per Lotor's mission as king, they had plenty to blog about. Lance called their blog the "Space Jam Fam!" and they often posted their blogs on youtube and facebook, earning hundreds to thousands of views each time. People loved watching the blog, and Lance loved doing it with his family.
Lance laughed, cocking his head to look at Lotor. "Only if daddy wants to." Lotor huffed, glancing at him as he placed the last suitcase in its place. "I would do anything for you my kitten, but doing family blogs just seems out of place for me."
Lance puckered his lower lip, pouting at him. "Come onn, you know you have fun with it!"
The kids all chirped in, jumping up and down in front of Lotor as they yelled. "Come ooonn! pleaseee!"
Lotor groaned. "Fine! But I am only doing one this time."
Lance and the kids all cheered in success. "Now get on the ship before I decide to end this trip!" Lotor teased. He watched as his three children clamored up into the ship, all pushing and shoving to be first. Lance walked up and wrapped an arm around Lotor's waist.
"I love you." Lance spoke, leaning up to press a kiss to Lotor's cheek. Lotor growled. "Not enough." Before pulling Lance into a deep kiss, nearly sweeping him off his feet. Lance giggled against his lips, running his hands into Lotor's long hair, and leaning back to smile.
"This is the best life I could have ever dreamed of having."
Lotor smiled. "I couldn't imagine a life without you. And to think, it all started because we had a fateful chance at meeting at Eclipse."
Lance laughed, sliding one of his hands into Lotor's as their fingers laced together. "If we can get the generals to babysit, what do you say we go to Eclipse again? For old time's sake?"
Lotor purred, kissing the top of Lance's head.
"I would love to, my kitten."
And thus, ends my "My Kitten" story! This story has been going on for over a year, that is insane! I know it took super long to get the alt ending to you guys and I am sorry, but I hope it was worth the wait! Thank you for sticking to my story for so long, if it wasn't for you guys this story would have still been a one-shot!
Also note, if you caught on, yes I did change Lotty's name to Angel this time, simply because Lance named her Lotty before due to Lotor being dead and him wanting to pay Lotor some resepct for his hard work and bravery by naming one of their children after him. Since Lotor is alive in this version, I didn't see a reason to keep her name as Lotty!
Comments are appreciated! Stay awesome my lovelies!
