Chapter 54: Saving uncle Ichiru (1)

Once Yuki arrived at Zero's doorstep, she hesitated for a moment. However, before she could even open the door to reveal the male hunter, Mochi and human are already dressed in their Day class uniforms.

"Ze-"

"You thought...that we would be able to talk if we met. A human transforming into a vampire, but if I think about it...I'm also a human that has turned into a vampire. However, I was lucky that I was able to return back...then again, if it weren't for my daughter's sake, I wouldn't have let you pass this door," replied Zero coldly while the sudden information caused Yuki to smile bitterly.

"You're right, Zero. I'm glad...that you understand," said Yuki before Mochi's eyes softened and started to nuzzle at the side of Yuki's face, causing the female pureblood to giggle slightly.

"B-by the way Zero, why are you both all dressed up?" asked Yuki as she still tried to maintain the distance. "Headmaster's orders that this matter is highly classified," he replied.

"Sigh...but is it really necessary for Mochi to go then?"

Zero was hesitant for a moment before nodding. "As such, I'm highly against it, my protests won't go through since Mochi won't stop whining on wanting to help with the mission." he sighed while Mochi straightened and stood proudly beside him.

"Mochi, help!" she replied proudly, causing Yuki to sweatdrop.

"I see...in that case, I will not interfere...have a good night both of you," she said before walking out. When she was finally out of sight, Zero closed the door and added another extra anti-vampire bullet in his uniform jacket. "Are you ready to save uncle Ichiru, sweetie? " asked Zero.

Mochi nodded and raised both arms ready. "Mochi helps save uncle Ichiru!" she replied.

Outside the day class dorms...

Aido leaned against Kain's shoulder sulking before noticing Yuki exiting the day class dorms. He straightened and held out the shoes in his hands. "Ruka...brought these shoes." he offered, after Yuki ran past him.

"Ah, wait-" Aido called after her before Kain stood beside him. "Follow her Aido," said Kain lazily while Aido started running after Yuki. "Wait! Cross Yuki! Ah, I mean...Yuki-sama. You're still barefooted!" he yelled, causing Yuki to finally stop running and to check her foot.

Aido flinched slightly at the action, "Eh! Don't tell me...did you just got cut!?"

"Oh, I thought you cut your foot just now..." replied Yuki before Aido slammed down the pair of shoes in front of her. "I don't care anymore, hurry up and put on these...I mean please put on these shoes, Yuki-sama," corrected Aido while Yuki stared at him.

"I never thought the day would come when Aido-senpai would call me "Yuki-sama", is the world coming to an end!?" gasped Yuki as Aido started to sweatdrop at the comment. "I'm terribly sorry for everything up until now..." muttered Aido before helping Yuki put her shoes on, then felt something wet dripping onto his head. He looked up to see tears of the female pureblood. "For a pureblood to cry in front of others, is something unheard of,"

"If it's something, I can only cry about in my heart, it's almost like a sin," replied Yuki.

Meanwhile with Kaname...

Kaname walked towards the room where Rido is originally kept. "This is Ichijo-sama and Shiki-sama's...No, right now...It is Rido-sama's temporary residence. What do you want?" asked Ichiru, slightly hesitant.

"Kiryu Ichiru...Oh, I mean brother-in-law. Can you kindly open the cover of that coffin?" asked Kaname with a slight smirk, causing Ichiru to glare at him, "Onii-san does not agree to marry you," snapped the younger one, causing the Pureblood to chuckle lightly. "Perhaps...but he wouldn't reject the offer."

"What makes you so sure? Or are you just playing mind games with him?" asked Ichiru.

"No, but I would have if it weren't for our daughter," replied Kaname.

"Leave my niece out of this," sneered Ichiru before walking towards the coffin to remove the chains and to lift up the coffin lid. "Here, the coffin's opened. Do what you want. You want to destroy Rido-sama, right?"

Kaname nodded slowly. "That's right...You should want to destroy him."

"You were able to prevent Rido-sama from returning to his original form by slashing him into thousands of pieces. If you were able to defeat him in a battle, you would only be a step further in destroying him completely, right? But you didn't...or you couldn't?" asked Ichiru as he looked down at the resting body of Rido's original body.

Kaname looked at Ichiru for a moment before looming over Rido's coffin. "It is true, I wanted to destroy him...Then Shizuka-san's fate would have been changed...but it did anyway for the better," said Kaname before suddenly grabbing Ichiru's sword and pointing it at where Rido's heart is. "Now, Rido. The time I have longed for has come.'' Kaname instantly pierced his hand with the sword instead.

Back in Zero's day class dorm room...

"Those stupid brats..." groaned Toga as he saw an empty room where his idiotic student and the little girl was supposed to be in was gone, while the window was wide open and he noticed that the sun was rising. "Stop calling my children stupid, Toga! But what do we do!? They're gone!" exclaimed Kaien as he started to panic.

Toga sighed tiredly as he reached for an unlit cigarette and placed it in his mouth. "Relax, I may have an idea as to where those two might be going...but I hope he doesn't do anything stupid," he replied while Kaien just looked at Toga in disbelief.

Back with Kaname...

Ichijo was busy carrying Shiki's unconscious body towards their room but was shocked as he noticed Kaname and Ichiru were already there. "Kaname!? What are you..."

"Why are you frustrated, Ichijo? It's alright, even if I cut this man into thousands of pieces, I can't deliver the final blow..." replied Kaname before looking back at his pierced hand. "If so...I should have let him return into his original state," he muttered before watching as his blood started seeping into Rido's body. "Take it, Rido...the thing that drove you mad, the strongest blood of a Kuran..."
