Hello! I hope your Valentine's Day is going better than mine. I'm currently crying in King's Cross Station and hoping I actually get to see my boyfriend today - the Harry Potter exhibit only briefly cheered me up, so here's this :') Set during Insecta Trifecta and very very pointless. Happy Valentine's Day!

22/08/18: "Guest 1" said I should have included a Spiderman-style kiss, and omg I can't believe I didn't. PS, that day did actually go very well in the end, and King's Cross is cool as hell!

He slashed through the web holding her wrists flawlessly. Karai swung down, finding herself still suspended by her legs. She rocked for a few moments, unsteady and confused, before Leo appeared in her peripheral vision. The mutant was smirking at her in a way that made her want to slap it off his face.

"Just can't seem to keep away from us mutants, can you?" The blue-banded leader teased, looking more smug by the second.

Karai groaned; she could fight him when her reputation wasn't at stake. "Just let me out!"

He moved as if to do so, then hesitated. With a little shrug of his stupid shoulders, he replied, "Nah."

She blinked. "What?"

"No." Leo leaned forward on his sword as if it was a walking stick, drumming his fingers against the handle, seemingly unaware of the fighting behind them.

Nearby, Michelangelo smacked a bug across the face with his nunchaku. Baxter Stockman shouted angrily in the distance. A squeal far too girly to belong to Raph rang out from the red turtle's corner.

Karai focused on Leo again, fury burning in her amber eyes. "So you're just going to leave me here, vulnerable to attack?"

She wasn't really that vulnerable, now her arms were free; Leo knew that, but playing on his heartstrings was always a safe bet, especially when it came to her. But this time, he just chuckled.

"I've got a fight to win, Karai; I don't have time," he remarked, barely managing to keep a straight face.

"You've had plenty of time to chat," she spat, losing her composure.

"You know what? You're right." He straightened then, brandishing his sword for battle. "I gotta go help, but I should have just enough time for this..."

She opened her mouth to question him, and found his over it. It was a soft, chaste kiss, a butterfly's touch. Still, it felt nice, and a smile began to tug at her lips.

Then he darted out of her line of sight and she bit back a scream of frustration. Really? He was playing games with her now? Groaning, she tried to spot April - maybe Donatello, Donatello would help her down, or Michelangelo-

She fell to the ground with a rather undignified shriek as the web suddenly split. Leonardo had caught her, of course; she couldn't believe she hadn't sensed him sneaking up behind her.

Still donning that stupid little smirk, he nudged her shoulder. "Just teasing you. C'mon, let's go kick their butts."

She huffed, kicking her way free of his hold. "Idiot."

She knew even as she ran back into the fray that he was smiling at her.
