While Spider-man spent his time with the Avengers from the other universe, there were other members of the Secret Avengers who were elsewhere completing their own mission to help bring down the Regime. This is their story.

Wolverine was on a manhunt, and no one was going to stop him. There were bodies everywhere.

"WHERE IS HE!?" he roared at a Regime soldier, who was ready to wet himself.

"I...I don't know…" He stammered.

"I'm losing my patience, and my claws as well." He put his fists against the soldier's chin and popped two of his claws, "the third is just itching to meet you." A red baton comes flying down and hits his hand. Wolverine looks over and sees Daredevil watching calmly.

"I'm surprised you didn't catch it." said Daredevil.

"I don't need to, it can't hurt me." He turns to look at the soldier who then looks away in fear. His third claw slowly gets closer to his face as he whimpers.

"Can't believe you are this green in interrogation." said Daredevil as he walked towards the soldier. "Take your claw and slowly cut the top of his eyelash, you'll get him to talk in no time." Wolverine did what Daredevil suggested, and slowly made the cut.

"AHHHHHHHH…..AHHHHHHH...AHHHHHHHH" screamed the soldier as blood poured down his face and blood dripped down on the ground.

"TALK WHERE IS BISHOP!" roared Wolverine.

"I DON'T KNOW, BUT I KNOW WHO DOES. MR. RICHARDS HE USUALLY SNEAKS INTO THE BAXTER BUILDING EVERY NOW AND THEN. PLEASE LET ME GO." Wolverine turns to look at Daredevil for confirmation.

"He is telling the truth." Wolverine lets out a gruff and lets him go. The soldier starts to quiver in fear, not from the two, but from the Regime.

"Mr. Rogers, he is going to find out...When he finds out I sold the Regime out...no...NOOOO!" The soldier pulls out his gun and shoots himself in the temple. The two stood there and witnessed everything that happened.

"Steve...what are you doing to make your own men kill themselves like that…" Logan remembered his time with Steve during World War II. He recalled how he brought hope to all those around him, and he was also the only person who showed him compassion when he found out about his mutant powers. He remembered the joy on everyone's faces when they liberated a concentration camp. He recalled the look on the child's face when Steve comforted him and assured the child that everything will be okay now. He missed that version of Steve, and wished he came back.

Daredevil on the other hand was not that surprised. He remembered what happened to him. He remembered his friends, Foggy Nelson and Karen Page were against the Regime as well. Karen Page was doing investigative work and tried to find anything on the inner workings of the Regime, while Foggy was building up a case and showing the world what Captain America was doing was wrong through the justice system that he still believed in. Daredevil didn't know the details but he found them both dead in his office. All they left behind was tons of evidence that should be more than enough to bring down the Regime. While they do have the legal power to bring them down, they physically did not have the power to actually follow through with it. Daredevil needed just one opportunity to bring Steve and the rest of the Avengers to justice.

"Baxter Building? That place has been abandoned for years." said Wolverine. "You think he's telling the truth Red?"

"Yes he is. His heart rate didn't change, despite having claws in front of his eyes." Wolverine started to walk off with Daredevil following him. "You can't go at this alone Logan, you know that."

"Red, this is personal." said Wolverine as he remembered the day when X-men got decimated by the Regime. It was a painful memory, one he wished he could forget, but he cannot. The memory of seeing his family getting wiped out will never leave him. "What's in it for you?"

"Well other than the fact that we are a team and we both want to bring down the Regime. Like you said this is personal." Wolverine let out a loud gruff at his answer.

"Your funeral."

After all these years of avoiding what was once home to him, Reed Richards was at the Baxter Building, reminiscing his time before that fateful day. All the adventures he and his family went on, all the squabbles, and all of the happy moments, just them being family, he truly missed those days. But he had to move on. The Secret Avengers are still out there in the world, and the sooner they are brought to justice, the sooner he can move on and be happy again. He looked around and monitored the agents working efficiently, one agent walked up to him.

"Hello Mr. Fantastic, everything is running at top speed, and we are rounding up more insurgents." Said the agent.

"That's good." Said Reed not paying attention to everything around him.

"Uh sir, is everything okay? We are very close to ending the Secret Avengers sir. I thought that's what you wanted." Reed turned and gave him an annoyed look. "Uhuhuhuhuh I mean sorry sir, I will work twice as fast to find them." He quickly runs off, as Reed just continued to look.

"Now I know how Ben feels." He chuckled to himself. Everyone looked at Reed laughing, they haven't seen Reed laugh, smile, or even emote in the past five years and they were all in awe. They all realized he was looking at them and they all looked away again. He walked off and looked at the screen and he noticed something was off. He headed towards one of the hidden rooms that only he knew about that held top level information. He enters the dark room and turns on the lights and sees Wolverine and Daredevil waiting for him.

"Reed. We need to talk." said Daredevil. He hears Reed about to pull something out of his pocket and he quickly throws his billy club at his hand and knocks a device out of his hand. "I'm going to make it really simple and easy for you to understand, you'll tell us where Bishop is." Reed looked apprehensive, and pondered for a bit over his next choice of words.

"And let's say I don't tell you. What makes you think you'll get out of here alive?"

"These." said Wolverine as he popped his claws. "Stretch you'll tell us where Bishop is, or you'll be the fourth missing member of your family." This hit Reed at his heart. He knew what happened to his family and his role in their disappearance. Flush of anger overcame him and he charges Wolverine and Daredevil. He quickly stretches his hands and wraps them around both Wolverine and Daredevil's head to suffocate the two.

"You can heal fast Logan, but that won't save you from a collapsed lung." Daredevil was able to pinpoint where Reed's head was and accurately threw his billy club at the wall so it could ricochet it off and hit Reed's head. The hit causes him to drop the two, and Wolverine pounces on Reed and is about to deliver the killing blow.

"I don't care what Red here says. If you don't tell us where Bishop is, I'll gut you and find someone else." Daredevil places his hands on his shoulder and pulls him back.

"You heard him, I cannot stop him what will happen next, but you can. Tell us where Bishop is. Don't do this for us or yourself, do it for your missing family." That tugged at his heart strings, and heard what all three of them would be saying to him right now.

"You win. He is at the Raft, I can send you there at once. The place is filled with guards but it does have a small opening. There's a fifteen minutes gap where we have to do a system reboot today and that should give you enough time to get in undetected. And there's also a teleporter inside that will take you anyway so you'll have an easier time escaping." Wolverine looked at Daredevil for confirmation over what Reed said, Daredevil was a little hesitant. His heartbeat didn't change, but he still can't shake off the idea that it could be a trap. It was a huge risk, one he had a hard time making. Just then two familiar hands were placed upon his shoulders.

"Are you just going to stand there like you got caught with your pants down or are you going to make a call?" said Foggy, "You know what must be done here."

"Matt, This could deal a huge blow to the Regime." said Karen

"I can't, last time I made a tough call it…" Daredevil stopped midway remembering that night. He was with both Foggy and Karen and he was doing everything he could to keep them out of the Regime's watchful eye. But both of their pursuit to bring down the Regime made the task tough. He got the invitation to join Spider-man's Secret Avengers. He wanted to help out his friend, but he didn't want to risk leaving Karen and Foggy alone. He thought about bringing them along, but that would also put them at bigger risk. The choice was tough, and he eventually decided to join Spider-man. After fighting off the Regime and saving reality from Mephisto and Zarathos, he came back to his office to find both of them dead.

"It's not your fault Matt." said Karen, "If you stayed you would have been killed as well."

"But at least you both wouldn't be. You two would be out here helping bring the Regime down, instead of me."

"Well now is your chance to do it." said Foggy, "Make our death mean something." Daredevil stood there silently, and thought about it more. He finally came to a decision.

"Logan, he is telling the truth."

"You sure bub? What if it's a trap?"

"He could be leading us to our death, but that's part of the risk we signed up for. It's now or never Logan." Wolverine let out a gruff and let's Reed go.

"You better be telling us the truth, otherwise I'll be back to show you what I'm best at, and it isn't very nice."

"Why are you helping us?" asked Daredevil, Mr. Fantastic exhaled before he gave his explanation.

"Aside from not trying to get killed. Let's just say I have some sins to atone for." The sorrowful look on his eyes gave Logan all he needed to know about what he meant.

"Get us there now Stretch." Reed leads them to the teleporter and punches in the coordinates to get them inside the Raft. Wolverine turns to Daredevil with a question in mind.

"What was that earlier? You just stood there for like five minutes talking to yourself."

"Like Reed, I have my sins to atone for as well." Wolverine chose to press on the issue and together with Daredevil teleported out of the Baxter Building and into the Raft.

The two arrived at the Raft and to their surprise Reed's intel was correct, there were no guards around. The two still had to be careful, and used their stealth to get around and search for Bishop. As they looked around the two of them heard a voice calling out to them weakly.

"Logan…?" Both Wolverine and Daredevil's hearing heard the weak voice and turned to find Cyclops.

"Summers! You're alive!?" exclaimed Wolverine as he ran up to the prison cell.

"Yes, so are the rest of us." Logan and Daredevil looked around to find members of X-men, the Brotherhood, and other mutants and metahumans in their jail cell, all wearing collars. "Logan you have to get us out of here. The Regime are holding us as captives and the only way they'll let us out is if we agree to serve the Regime, or be tested in their twisted experiments."

"He wouldn't…" said Daredevil.

"This is the new Steve, Red." Said Wolverine. "He's becoming like the Red Skull without realizing it. "We'll get you and everyone else out of here."

"No, don't." saidCyclops. "The jail cells are pressure sensitive. If anyone except for the guards and the prisoners touches it the whole place will be on high alert."

"Okay what about the collars?" asked Daredevil.

"If we try to take it off, the collars will explode."

"They really thought of everything." said Wolverine.

"Well there's a way to turn everything off." said Cyclops, "Kurt overheard one of the guards talking about the main system that controls everything over at section 199999."

"So we go there and find the computer that controls everything and shut it down all in thirteen minutes." said Daredevil.

"Sounds like a plan." said Wolverine, "We'll get you and everyone else out of here I promise." The two then rushed out of the prison cells and made their way to section 199999. They had to be silent and careful so they wouldn't raise the alarm. They finally made it to section 199999 and found the computer that controlled everything. The computer was very complex and neither of them knew how to operate it. Wolverine did what he did best and busted the computer. All of the prison cells open and the collars come off. All of the prisoners use their powers to riot and cause havoc. Wolverine and Daredevil turned around to escape and find Bishop. They turn around and found him standing at the door.

"Found you traitors." said Bishop as his eyes glowed.

"I could say the same to you." growled Wolverine, "I'm going to cut your head off for what you did to everyone."

"So simple-minded. I did what I had to do to save everyone. This was the only way to prevent the apocalyptic future I grew up in."

"So all of the testing, and killings on your friends justify that!?" said Daredevil. Bishop stood there silently, almost remorseful for his role for what had happened.

"Yes...and I'd do it again." Wolverine didn't want to hear him anymore and he lunged at Bishop. Bishop fires his gun at him, knocking him back. Soon guards swarm around Wolverine. Wolverine fights them off, and Daredevil rushes to help. Bishop tackles Daredevil, and in one fluid movement Daredevil tosses Bishop aside and takes his gun away. Bishop fires an energy beam out of his fists and Daredevil effortlessly dodges it and burns the wall behind him. He got the scent from the energy beam. It was all too familiar. In fact it was the scent he got on that same night.

"It was you wasn't it? You killed Foggy Nelson and Karen Page?" Said Daredevil.

"No use in hiding it. Yes I did. They stuck their nose in where they shouldn't have. And despite our very clear warnings they still persisted. Their death is on them!" Daredevil felt nothing but rage after hearing that. He runs towards him, and dodges all of his attacks and when he gets close, he beats him down without mercy. Face was bloodied, ribs broken, hands shattered, Bishop finally understood why he was known as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen. At that moment he got on his knees and waited for his fate. "Do it, fulfill your role. I deserve this after all." Daredevil was ready to snap his neck, but the spirits of Foggy Nelson and Karen Page intervened. They didn't have to say a word, but the look on their faces told Daredevil all he needed to know what needed to be done.

"RAAAAAAAAHHHHHH" roars Daredevil as he let his hands off of Bishop. The mercy he was shown confused Bishop. He didn't know what his play was.

"What are you doing? I deserve to die, so kill me!"

"No! God knows I want to. But you won't get to destroy all I stand for! You'll face the consequences of your action and you'll pay for your crimes!" Daredevil looks up at Karen Page and Foggy Nelson both of them tearfully smiling at him and they disappear, happy and at ease that Matt Murdock will be alright. Wolverine walks up to Bishop and knocks him out. "Would've thought you were going to gut him."

"If you knew that was true you would've stopped me." Said Wolverine as he lifts Bishop on his shoulders. "Besides after everything you just said to him, killing him wouldn't feel right."

They walked back to chaos that was the riot. Those who were still standing followed them to the teleporter. They all got out of there in one piece and they found themselves outside ofNew York City.

"I'll take Bishop." Said Daredevil. "I know where to hold him. Just until all of this is over."

"Sounds good, just remember one thing Red." Said Wolverine, as he looked back at everyone.

"Professor Xavier always taught us that in order for the world to co-exist, we all have to be able to forgive first." Said Cyclops, "Not saying I completely forgive Bishop, but we have to make that first step towards healing." Wolverine looks back at the X-men, and looks back at Daredevil.

"Could you tell Web-head that I'm not quitting, It's just...I'm needed here with my family."

"I got you covered. Stay safe my friend. I'll be praying for you and your family." The two just smile at each other and both of them walk away.

Daredevil was back in what was left of Hell's Kitchen, overlooking the streets. He had already told Peter of Wolverine's departure. He wasn't too thrilled about it. But he understood why he left. For a while Daredevil was concerned that it was now just him, Spider-man and Deadpool against the Regime. But with the word of the Avengers from another universe appearing, he knew they were in good hands. He gets an incoming notification from his communicator from Peter.

"Hey Matt, there's been word of the Goblin gang starting to act up more than usual."

"As long as they're giving the Regime a headache, I think we can leave them alone."

"Normally I'd agree, but I hear they have a Spider-man and the real Green Goblin with them. I need to check it out."

"I'm on it. Oh and Pete. I think this could be the hope we've been looking for." He said with a smile. He dives off from the rooftop, and goes off to investigate this intel, all knowing that this could be the start of the downfall of the Regime.
