Mavis could only stare as the members of Fairy Tail fought against the Alvarez soldiers. 'This is all my fault, they are all suffering because of me!' She thought.

Everyone who was fighting immediately stopped when a choked sob was heard. Heads snapping in the direction of the First Master who had tears streaming down her face.

"First Master! Are you crying?!" Erza asked in shocked.

"I'm not crying! It's just the dust that got into my eyes! That's all!" Mavis protested, trying to hold back tears but failing miserably.

"Quick! Someone comfort her before she goes full waterfall!" Makarov yelled, panic all over his face as everyone (even the Alvarez soldiers) went to comfort the tiny master.

"WAAHHH! I'm not crying!"

Irene saw a lot of things that she labeled as weird, but this one took the cake at what she was seeing.

"What is it, Irene?" Zeref asked, walking over to her.

"Well, it appears as if Fairy Heart is crying and everyone is trying to comfort her." Was her reply, watching with her magic eye as an old man was panicking and screaming something at the top of his lungs.

She didn't even see Zeref's eyes widen at what she said. "What?" He asked, anger laced in his voice.

"If you want to see for yourself, then you can go down there." Irene said, watching the whole thing with amusement.

"Very well." Zeref said, before using his magic to disappear from her sight, leaving Irene standing there before it dawned on her what he said.

"EMPEROR!"

Mavis was trying to hold back the tears, keyword in try. Meanwhile all the members of Fairy Tail and the soldiers were trying their best to comfort her and stop the tears, cause she looked so helpless and sad as a lost little girl.

"Take deep breaths, First. Deep Breaths." Laxus told her.

"Crying is UNMANLY!" Elfman yelled, only to be whacked on the head by Evergreen with her fan, yelling at him to shut up or she'll turn him into stone.

"Mavis." A voice said, Mavis opening her eyes to see Zeref through the crowd of people surrounding her, he not being apart of the crowd.

"YOU!" Erza yelled, summoning a sword in her hand as Laxus let a ball of lightning appear in his fist. "Don't you dare get near-"

Mavis interrupted Erza by running right past her and hugging Zeref, everyone staring in shock as the tiny master sobbed into the Black Wizards chest.

Zeref meanwhile, patted the top of her head in a loving gesture. "There, there. Now tell me what is the problem?" He asked.

"*Sniff* everyone is fighting to protect me from you. *Sniff Sniff* And it's all my fault!" Mavis cried, tears now flowing down her cheeks.

"If I had just died then and there *Sniff* None of this would be happening! I don't want this war to continue at alllll!" Mavis bawled.

Zeref just nodded his head, running his fingers through her soft hair. 'Was she always this cute?' He thought, a blush going over his cheeks.

"Do you think that her crying is going to do something?" Bickslow asked Evergreen.

"If anything, we might actually get out of here alive." Was her response.

And that's how the war ended between Fairy Tail and the Alvarez empire.
