His eyes fluttered open as something was being pressed and wiped across on his forehead. The light blinded him for a moment as they adjusted. The first thing he saw was long flowing white hair, even in his hazy state there was no mistaking that hair. "Mira?"

"Hey there." She says in her usual sweet tone. He still couldn't see her properly, he had the worst headache.

"What happened?" He asked trying to sit up when he felt hands on his shoulders forcing him back down.

"Ah ah mister, stay down for now." She says, her stern tone still filled with sweetness. "You had an accident when fighting Gildarts, when he says he doesn't know how to hold back, he means it."

"How bad?" He asked, dreading her answer. He felt her wipe his brow again. He felt hot, he never feels hot. Warm, sure. But never boiling.

"Broken leg, concussion and a fever." She tells him. "Legs healing well though, thanks to Wendy." She tried to lighten up the situation.

"No wonder I feel hot if I have a fever. I feel like I'm on a train in a volcano. And that explains the headache." He groans, his eyes finally adjusted, he looks into Mira's eyes as she's there over his face again, wiping his brow. She looks down to him and gives him a sweet smile. "So how long have I been out, when are the S-Class trials?" He asks.

She dreads to answer this question. "That's the thing Natsu... its today."

"WHAT!" He shoots up, this causes him to groan in pain and full back. "That means I've been out for an entire week!"

"I know, I'm sorry. I know you was 'all fired up' for the S-Class trials." She says, in a sincere tone and slightly mocking him by quoting him. Realisation slowly hit him.

"Wait, Mira? Weren't you supposed to be part of the trials?" He asks, hand still on his head from the pain.

"I opted to take care of you while you was out, Master agreed. There was no way I could leave you alone with Macao." This answer caused both to chuckle and giggle, which in turn made Natsu clutch his head in pain, again.

"You sleep, I'll get you some medicine and water for you." She tells him, he was already half way there.

"Thanks Mira. You're the best." He says sleepily, eyes closing. She could hear a faint snore as she left.

"What do you mean its gone?!" Natsu shouts angrily trying to stand with his crutches, his fever had gone by the next day so he took the opportunity to move around. The rest of the guild looks to him in that outburst. Happy had flew from off his head from the outburst.

Doranbolt and Lahar couldn't meet his eyes, grim faces covered their face as they looked at the ground like children getting told off. "It is completely gone. Grimoire Heart and Agnologia attack. The island disappeared." Lahar tells him, still couldn't bare to look him in the eye.

"No..." Was all Mira could say the rest of the guild was speechless. She fell to her knees, tears streaming down her face. "No! I lost them!" She screams. "I lost her once, now again! And Elfman too?!" Natsu followed down on to the floor and held her, comforted her.

Lahar and Doranbolt took their leave, to let the guild properly mourn and they really didn't want to face and angry Dragon Slayer right now. The guild had become quiet, no one could muster words. Only sounds of sobs could be hear. Happy was being comforted by Macao while Natsu was busy. Natsu had managed to get Mirajane up to the infirmary, even with his broken leg so she could be alone. However when he tried to leave she clung to him. She whispered "stay with me, please." He had never heard her so broken, even when Lisanna 'died' the first time, she had Elfman.

"As long as you need me, I'll stay right here." He tells her as she sobs into his chest. He stroked her hair in comfort. He had to be there for her right now.

She slowly stopped sobbing and looked up to him, tears staining her face. "What do we do now? I can't... do this alone, I don't think I'll be able to make it.

He wiped a tear from her face, "Mira. There's no proof of them being dead. The Island disappeared, there were no bodies, rubble, no nothing."

"But-" She couldn't even get the word out before Natsu cut her off, as if he knew what she'd say.

"But nothing! Until I see proof that they're gone I won't give up. I won't lose hope!" He tells her, he the flashes her his trademark smirk. "Besides, Master Makarov, Gildarts and Erza were there, some of the most powerful people ever! Plus they have two Dragon Slayers with them. And the rest are too stubborn to die."

This caused her to give him a little smile. "Lets not forget Elfman is way too manly till die." This statement caused her to giggle slightly. This surprising both him and her.

"Look Mira," He says his tone getting all serious, "They may not return today, tomorrow or anytime soon. But someday they will. I know it."

"Thank you Natsu." Mira said with a smile of her own. She kissed Natsu on the cheek which left a small blush on both of their faces. "I hope you're right."

The next day everyone had gathered to the guild after hearing Mira and Natsu wanted to discuss the guilds future.

"I know this is tough time for everyone." Natsu starts," we lost out aster, out strongest, our friends, our family. But I believe that they will return someday. So we need to keep this guild in perfect shape for when they get back!"

This is where Mira steps in, "So to make sure we can do that, we need a new Master first and a plan."

"But Mira! How can we appoint a new Master? The previous Master is supposed to choose." Macao points out.

"And he did." This caused looks of confusion from everyone, including Natsu.

"He did?" Natsu asks turning to her.

"He did indeed. Master wrote a list. In which any case he were to die or go missing before appointing a new Master." She explains, "Its like an unsaid rule."

"So who is it?" Macao asks impatiently.

"Hey man! Let her speak." Natsu shouts before giving Mira the go ahead to continue.

"Now, Masters Makarov was cautious so he put three names down. Two of them aren't actually here. Gildarts was first to be appointed, second was Erza... and third was Natsu."

Most of the guild went quiet and pale including Natsu. He eventually pushed past the lump in his throat, "M-me." He stuttered.

"Master must of gone nuts before he left." A guild member shouts. This caused some of the guild members to glare at him, including the She-Demon.

"Why me?" Natsu asks her.

"It does really say why, just that 'you're the heart and soul of the guild." She explains as she reads it off the piece of paper. She looks to his pale face a gives a giggle to his current state.

"I like it!" Wakaba shouts.

"Yeah go MASTER Natsu!" Romeo shouts in support. Romeos words brought Natsu out of his trance. He looked down to the boy cheering him on.

"So what do you say?" He looks to Mira, "Ready to be our new Master?" They look each other in the eye, his stare was intense causing her to blush.

"Oh yeah. I'm all fired up!" He says pumping his hand in the air. "I make you proud gramps!" He yells. "I may not be the first choice. But I'll still do my best. So lets make them all proud and continue to be one of the strongest guilds." This speech caused everyone to cheer with their new Master.

That night it was only Natsu and Mira at the guild still. Everyone had left sometime ago. Natsu had already started to take his new role seriously, learning everything about being a Master of a wizard guild. He had been held up in Makarovs old office or should I say his new office. Mira had finished cleaning, she went upstairs to check on him.

She knocks softly on the door, "Master?" Mira asks in a slightly cheeky tone.

She could hear his small laugh before he responded. "Come in Mira."

"You ready to go home now Master?" She says with a giggle.

"I'm never going to get used to that." He says with a small chuckle. "Yeah I'm almost finished, just organising for my things for tomorrow." He moves around all of his papers ordering them for tomorrow.

"Really taking this seriously then." She points out, leaning against the door frame.

"Of course, need to make sure everything is fine for when they get. No way will Fairy Tail fall on my watch." He says in a serious tone before flashing her is trademark smirk. "Hey where's happy?"

"Little guy was so tired, and he's still really upset, so he's at my place resting in Lisanna's room." She explains as he approaches her.

"Ah okay, should I come pick him up on the way home." He asks as they walk out of his office.

"No, its okay. I could use the company." She tells him with a smile.

"That is something I can relate to. It can get quite lonely." He says with a low sigh.

"Is that why you always end up at Lucy's." The She-Demon asks, her smile never faltering.

"Yeah. Even Happy doesn't stay at home that much anymore, half the time he'd be at mine or with Lisanna, but recently he be staying with Wendy." He pauses for a moment. Stopping in place.

Mirajane doesn't notice at first, but when she hears a crash behind her she spins round. She turns to find Natsu on his knees, head hanging low. "Natsu?" She says his name softly. She moves to his side. "Natsu what's wrong."

"Wendy. She was on Tenrou Island." He says in a low voice. "Little Wendy. She shouldn't have been there. She should've been here, safe." His hand forms into a fist.

"Natsu..." Her voice was soft and calming, "We need too keep having faith. When she gets back she will want to see you in high spirits." She rest her hand on his, causing his to in ravel.

"You're right Mira. Need to have hope." He says, looking to her with a smile. They both get up and continue their walk.

"Hey Natsu." She starts, he looks to her, "Do you think... maybe... you could keep me company." A blush covered her face as she asked this.

"Of course, If you don't want to be alone tonight." He tells her, smiling.

"I don't think either of us should be alone." She responds, wrapping her arms around his as they walk to her place. Noticing him walking normally she get confused. "Natsu where are you crutches?"

"Huh? I must've forgotten them." He says non-chillingly, like it was nothing.

"Doesn't it hurt?" She asks, looking concerned.

"Not really, more like an irritation. Don't worry I'm fine."

"If you say so."

Natsu awoke late the next morning feeling exceedingly comfortable. This bed was far better than his own, even better than Lucy's. His eyes slowly drifted open and as his vision cleared he was faced with the sight of an unfamiliar ceiling.

He took in a deep breath through his nose to relieve himself of that last bit of tension in his bones. As he did he was greeted with a deliciously sweet scent. He looked down and blushed at the sleeping body of Mira who was sprawled out on top of him. He couldn't move, his arm was pinned by her side, as the rest of her body was on top of him. He had almost forgotten that she had asked him to stay with her.

Natsu was just in his Capri pants; Mira had stolen his vest shirt and put it over her upper body so that all she slept in was his vest done up however it was done up completely so you could see her cleavage and, much to Nastu's pleasure, a small black thong. Her leg was draped over his crotch. He started to blush even harder.

She was sleeping peacefully with her head and hand lying gently across his chest, hairy everywhere. He didn't have the heart to move her, nor did he want to, especially when he saw the smile on her face as she slept. He had always found Mira to be one of the hottest and one of the most gorgeous girls out there.

Everyone fault he was so dense, that he probably didn't have these kinds of feelings, but he did. He always found Mirajane attractive, but he didn't want to seem like every other guy, looking at her like perverts.

He was brought back to reality when he felt the white haired beauty. Her eyes fluttered open, as she yawned. She looked up and saw who she was leaning on, a blush covered her face as she whispered "Morning" in a tired tone.

"Good morning," He says smiling down at her, "We're a little late." She didn't move at this. So he tried again. "We should get up."

"I know but you're just so comfy." She blushed even harder as the comment slipped from her mouth. She quickly got up and rushed to her bathroom but not before bending over to pick up a towel and giving Natsu a little show. As she entered the bathroom she took off his vest and chucked it to him.

"Hey Natsu!" Macao says as he catches the new guild Master before he gets to his office. "A little blue flying cat told me something. Said you spent the night at Mira's. In fact, he said you shared the same bed."

"First off," Natsu began, a smirk forming on his face, "It's Master Natsu. And secondly I was there to comfort her. I'd never take advantage like that, we are all going through a lot."

Unknown to the two, the white haired girl in question could hear everything being said. A blush crept across her face, as well as a small smile. Bisca noticed this. She leaned forward to whisper to Mira, "So you and Natsu?"

Her blush grew, as red as Erza's hair, "Oh shut up." She says looking embarrassed.

"At least you know that he won't ever break your heart." Bisca says with a little smile forming on her face
