Hey everyone, I'm so sorry it took me so long to get this chapter up. A variety of things were going on in my life that made me not have time to write, but whenever I did have time, I lacked motivation or I was busy writing some of my other things, like a group of friends had asked me to write them a D&D campaign, which was actually kind of hard, so sorry about my laziness and business. Anyways, I wrote this chapter to wrap everything up. I'm sorry for those of you who dislike this chapter, since it is heavily Author and Kaine related, and Deku has such a small role himself. Also I had a chapter where Bakugo and Kaine went to All Might's office to tell him that Blur was The Author and brought Aizawa in on the information to plan to catch him, but I lost it, so sorry for the skip to this point.

Bakugo, Kaine, and Aizawa took their time when it came to planning out how to catch The Author, it would have to be summer vacation, right before the training camp. Aizawa was going to invite Blur to be a counsellor and train class 1-A.

"So… is Kaine going to be a part of this training camp?" Blur asked as he stood in front of the bus with Aizawa, early in the morning, waiting for students to arrive.

"No, he had asked me if he could, but I figured we only needed one upperclassman to help out" Aizawa replied while bundled up in his sleeping bag, sitting against the bus.

They sat there in silence, Blur eventually got bored and started summoning random books of life, believing Mister Aizawa was asleep.

Blur was reading the books of all of class 1-A with the exception of Bakugo's, which Blur planned to take back by force during the summer training camp.

After reading through all the books, he noticed that still no students had arrived, it had felt like hours to him, but it was still only dawn.

"I wonder if he has anything he wants to tell me…" Blur said as he summoned his own book of life to add to the pile.

He flipped through the book page by page, going through the conversations he has had with his future self.

Eventually catching up to the present he noticed the start of a note that stopped abruptly, followed by a smear of blood covering the page.

Flipping to the next page, Blur saw that it was entirely red, and so was the next page, and every page after. His future self had started to write him a note, then bled out over the book, ruining it.

He went back and tried to read what the note had said, but all he could make out was "Don't trust Ai-" Blur then stood up and moved slowly away from Mister Aizawa, forming a sword of blue light in one hand, holding his book of life to his chest with his other.

Blur walked slowly in reverse, then he was stopped by a wall, he turned around to see nothing but air, but when he put his hand up he could feel a wall in front of him.

His sword of blue light then vanished, and so did the world around him, revealing he was in the school gym. He turned around to see Aizawa awake, his quirk actively cancelling out all of Blur's.

Blur attempted to hide his book of life, but couldn't. It was stuck in reality as long as Aizawa was canceling out his quirk.

"Oh hey, Mister Aizawa, what's going on? I mean I was just going to go to the restroom, then we were suddenly teleported to the gym" Blur said in an innocent tone of voice.

Kaine and Bakugo then appeared from behind Aizawa, Kaine had white hair and a deathly face once more.

"You like my illusion, Blur? I made the whole thing… just took a bit of energy" Kaine said.

"YOU BASTARD, MESSING WITH PEOPLE'S LIVES! I'LL KILL YOU!" Bakugo yelled out, his hands already making explosions.

"There is no need for that Bakugo, only destroy the book" Aizawa said sternly as his eyes were starting to burn, "That book is where he gets his powers without it, he will be quirkless and unable to harm anyone."

Bakugo started walking towards Blur with a sinister face, his hands making explosions with each step he took, "Hand it over!"

Trying to think quickly to get out of the situation, Blur threw his book of life at Aizawa's face, making him flinch, giving Blur back his powers.

Blur ran towards Aizawa, and confined him with chains made of blue light, and a blindfold was wrapped around Aizawa's face blocking his quirk.

Grabbing his book of life from the ground, Blur ran towards, the closest door he saw.

Bakugo used his enhanced explosions, that he got from The Author, to launch himself in front of Blur.

"Calm yourself, Bakugo" Blur demanded, taking advantage of his ability to calm emotions.

Bakugo's explosions faded, and he fell on one knee, "You… bastard… just die!" Bakugo yelled trying to fight still, but Blur's quirk was stronger than Bakugo's will.

Blur held his book of life in front of himself, and began to write in it, "Don't trust Ai-"

Then a sword of golden light stabbed through his chest and through his book of life, "I can still fight while I'm this weak, or did you not learn anything from our last fight?" Kaine said from behind Blur.

The sword of light vanished, then Blur fell forward, bleeding on his book, and Kaine fell backwards exhausted from expending so much energy.

"Heh, I wonder what will happen now…" Blur said as he coughed, "What will happen to the future me that causes all of this to happen, and who let you live? You were never supposed to exist and I was destined to be the greatest villain in the world… now you're alive and I'm dying before I get a chance to be a hero or a villain. What will happen to the quirks I had given people? What will happen to you? And everyone's memories, we they remember or will we fade?"

"Shut up Blur… you talk too much" Kaine laughed, "That wasn't a lethal hit, you'll be fine… you'll just be going to jail, and everything will be fine."

"My injuries don't matter. You stabbed my book of life, I can feel it starting to disintegrate in my hands, my own body is barely being held together."

Kaine sat up and could see lines of light cracking Blur's body apart, he then looked over to Bakugo. No one else could see what Kaine could, but Kaine could see the same light that Blur was releasing was being expelled from Bakugo's body, the effects of The Author's meddling leaving him, then he looked at Mister Aizawa, the chains that held him began to fade giving off the same light.

"Your effects on reality are leaving with you Blur, Bakugo is returning to normal, Aizawa's chains are fading. It's probably a matter of time, before I fade as well. Thank you, for letting me a hero, at least once…" Kaine said watching his own body, looking for the same light to start to be expelled.

"My real name is Hisao, and my dream was to be a hero" Blur said in tears as his body began breaking more and more apart.

"Well, maybe you should have stopped meddling in people's life. You never did anything truly evil, but you were manipulating reality, changing things for your own benefit. I'm sorry it turned out this way."

Blur then exploded into light, and Kaine prepared himself for the same fate.

Instead Blur's light was absorbed into Kaine's body, making his hair turn back to black, and his face being no longer skeletal looking.

"I'm not dead?" Kaine asked himself quietly.

Then Aizawa walked up to him, "Who are you? Why are you in this school? And why can't I remember anything?" Aizawa said as he used his quirk to prevent Kaine from using his own.

"Mister Aizawa, it's me. Kaine, I fought against you during the final exams, and we just took down The Author together"

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?" Bakugo yelled out as he rose to his feet.

Aizawa was distracted by Bakugo's outburst and lost focus. Kaine used this split second of time to use his quirk to turn invisible.

Aizawa put a hand to his eyes and shook his head, "I could have sworn someone else was just here, or there was two and a fight?" Aizawa's memories then completely faded, "Bakugo! I must have been scolding you for picking fights! Let's go back to my office."

Aizawa grabbed Bakugo by the shoulder then walked out of the gym.

Kaine then turned visible, "How am I still alive? And why don't they remember me?"

Kaine stood up and snuck out of the gym, looking for any other visible differences to reality.

He saw Yuuto and Aoi holding hands, they had never held hands before, "Hey Yuuto, Aoi! What's going on?"

"Who are you? And why are you calling us by our names, call me Six and she's called Hunter" Yuuto replied.

"What are you talking about? Her hero name is Warden" Kaine said.

"Why would I call myself Warden? I don't have an imprisoning quirk" Aoi said.

"Not that kind of warden, the kind that maintains the peace."

"That's dumb, I'm called Hunter because I hunt down villains. Also are you a student here? Maybe I should call a teacher to escort you off campus."

"Do you two really not remember me?" Kaine asked his eyes getting watery.

"We have never met you before, now please leave us alone" Aoi said as she and Yuuto walked off.

Kaine pulled out his cellphone and called his grandparents, but they quickly hung up claiming their grandson died in a car accident with his parents.

Kaine quickly snuck into the school and found his hero costume in his classroom, beginning to fade from existence, but as soon as he grabbed it, it solidified and was no longer fading.

He threw on his costume and lifted his hood up above his head, before running up to the roof of the school.

Looking down, he looked for more differences. He could see advertisements on billboards in the city had changed, small changes were all over the place.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out his provisional hero license. His picture had vanished from it, and so did all the other information on it, everything was replaced with question marks.

He watched over U.A. as a ghost, continuing to see differences, Izuku no longer had extremely precise control over his power, nor did he had pyrokinesis. Shoto couldn't create blue flames anymore, no one had any lingering effects of The Author's quirk, except Kaine, who was still alive.

Years later, the urban legend of a vigilante who was often called "The Ghost" or "Auberon" was wildly popular, no pictures of him existed, and those who were captured by him had varying accounts of his appearance, he sometimes had white hair, sometimes black. Sometimes he had a knightly helmet, sometimes a simple hood. Sometimes light powers, sometimes shadows.

The Ghost was a vigilante that the cops chose never to go after, for he could infiltrate any criminal group, and take them down without fail or civilian casualties.

Part of his legend was every time the pro hero Deku was fighting crime, The Ghost would help from the shadows, chaining up defeated villains with shackles of light, so they couldn't escape. Same for the pro hero Hunter, except bouquets of flowers would often appear for her whenever she finished hero work, with little notes to her signed by The Ghost himself.

A twenty one year old Kaine sat on a rooftop eating a sandwich, watching Hunter fight some criminal down in the alleyway below him. He was busy writing a note in red ink on a small card for when he would send the bouquet down, but he was having difficulty thinking of what to write. He had been writing her these notes for years, but he couldn't think up anything this time.

He was paying no attention, and didn't notice that she had been overrun by criminals, when he finally noticed, he jumped down to the alleyway using his light to slow his fall.

"Hey you guys ought to stop that!" Kaine yelled out, not having anything clever to say.

Half of the criminals moved away from Aoi and charged at him, he instantly imprisoned them in shackles of light.

Then he ran over to Aoi and clawed the rest of the criminals off of her.

She was unconscious so he picked her up and started to run towards a hospital when a criminal who was shackled yelled out "Who are you?"

"Haven't you ever heard of The Ghost?" Kaine said before he used his Moonwalk to run Aoi to a hospital as fast as he could.

Kaine sat in Aoi's hospital room, waiting for her to wake up to make sure she was okay, when Izuku walked in with sweatpants and a hoodie.

"Your The Ghost right?" Izuku asked, "I'm such a big fan, do you mind giving an autograph? Also what's your quirk? A lot of theories go around about it being a light or shadow based quirk, but then other people believe there is actually multiple people sharing the name!"

Izuku kept fanboying over Kaine, and Kaine just started laughing, "You never change Izuku, you've been like this as long as I've known you."

Izuku stopped fanboying and asked "You know me?"

"From another life… a life long gone. There was a villain who could change reality, and I am the last remnant of that reality."

"So why do you follow me and Aoi?" Izuku said as he sat down next to Kaine.

"I was your mentor, and she was my girlfriend in the other reality" Kaine explained, then he stood up "Will you make sure she stays safe, she'll be confused if she wakes up with me in here" Kaine said as he walked towards the door, "See you later, Izuku."

So that's the story, I hope you all enjoyed it. I may eventually write a chapter on Kaine being The Ghost, but don't expect it anytime soon. Also, my explanation as to why Kaine didn't vanish when The Author did, is that when Kaine destroyed his own book, he became unaffected by The Author completely, even when The Author's effect vanished, Kaine was immune to it since his book was destroyed.
