When Heine opened his eyes, he was surrounded by nothing but whiteness.

Ahead of him, someone walked towards him. She was very beautiful, dressed in a long white dress.

With a bright smile, she ran up to him. Now he knew who she was.

"Helena?"

"I've been waiting for you," she smiled, taking his hands in her own.

He had never seen her so…energetic before. She was nothing like the sick nearly invalid woman he had happily married. Now she was able to freely run and laugh and smile to her heart's content.

He had forgotten just how beautiful her smile truly was. How he had yearned to see that smile for such a long time.

And her eyes. They no longer held any pain or despair. They were just as free as the rest of her. That beautiful sparkle he loved so much had become a permanent feature.

"I've been watching over you. Thank you for keeping your promise and looking after my family for me."

Heine smiled back at her.

Helena gently put her hand to the side of his face. She looked deep into his eyes and then she kissed him. It was a gentle yet very beautiful kiss that Heine had dreamed about for many years. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close to him. For the first time, he got to really kiss her with everything he had. He couldn't say how long it was before the kiss ended, but all he knew was that he never wanted her out of his arms again.

Helena pulled away and grabbed his hand. "Now come with me."

Heine followed her with the largest smile on his face.

After so long, he had been reunited with his beautiful wife.
