Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter or KHR. They would probably be radically different if I did... and probably not quite as good.

A/N: Wow... people really like this. I'm... touched. Like... seriously. I made this up for a laugh, intending it to just be a few one shots giving backstory for when Phoenix/Skull storms in and wrecks the plot of Harry Potter and now it's turned into something so so much bigger. More on that later, just wanted to say you guys are awesome for supporting this fic so long. And ACasualPotato, here are your Chaos Bois, glad the introduction of pseudo-plot didn't disappoint you!

31 Playing in the Air

It was a rainy Friday afternoon and the Hufflepuff Common Room was filled with the quite chatter of relaxing students. Some played cards, others chess, there were mutters coming from one corner where it looked like they were rolling dice, and towards the fire several books could be seen while one or two tables had groups working on homework. It was a very calm environment.

The Chaos Trio were no-where to be seen.

Conversely, all the upper years and Prefects were accounted for.

"Wait... where are Jason, Phoenix, and Antony?" Jean asked, suddenly noticing the aforementioned facts.

"They're right... huh. I could have sworn they were over by the dice corner," the female Sixth Year Prefect said, turning to where she remembered seeing the Trio.

"We didn't see them!" the Dice Puffs declared before going back to their game.

"Well that's not disconcerting," Jean muttered. The Prefect laid an arm around the younger girl's shoulders.

"Don't worry about it too much. I'm sure those three are just fine," she said.

"Oh it's not exactly them I'm worried about. It's whatever they're planning," Jean countered. Her Housemates gave a ripple of agreement. The Prefect sighed.

"Well there's nothing I can do about that. So... Plausible deniability?"

"Works for me!" one of the Second Year boys declared before returning to his book. Jean sighed but accepted that the Prefect had a point and sat back down.

Meanwhile, the Trio was training in Badger Arena. Phoenix was doing well. Antony... "Ow." Not so much.

"Hey, that was better than last time!" Phoenix cheered from where he perched on the peak of a roof, looking down at his friend. Antony, who lay on his back on the thankfully cushioned ground of the Arena after missing his last jump, groaned up at the Circus Brat.

"He still falls half the time he tries to make a jump," Jason pointed out. "Not that I'm doing much better..." he added with a wince. Smacking into the side of a building while dangling from your fingertips hurt like nothing else the boy had ever encountered. He wouldn't be surprised if his ribs were fractured from the hit.

"You guys are doing fine! This kind of thing just takes time to learn!" Phoenix cheered, plopping down on the edge of his roof and grinning down at them. "Say... why don't we play Roof Tag?!" he asked with terrifying enthusiasm. The other two shared looks.

"If we keep missing every other landing, what makes you think Roof Tag is a good idea?" Jason asked, finally letting go and dropping the two feet to the ground.

"Because~! Learning is always easier when it's fun!" Phoenix declared. "Besides, it's good endurance and speed training!" Jason sighed while Antony shook his head.

"Fine. But only if the houses either get a little closer together or a bit shorter! It's a pain to have to keep climbing the walls," Jason said. Antony nodded.

"Hogsmead isn't laid out to be navigated by rooftop!" he declared. Phoenix sighed, but nodded and hopped down.

"But... how do we get the Arena to rearrange?" he asked. Obviously, the magic of the room could read their intentions and desires, because the fake Hogsmead sank into the ground and was replaced by what looked like the top half of London, the lowest point being about three feet from the cushioned ground. "Well... that works," Phoenix remarked, blinking at the Arena provided 'roofs.' The other two snorted and turned their attention back to Phoenix.

"So... who's It?" Jason asked.

"Wait... what's Tag?" Antony asked, apparently remembering that he was a Pureblood and didn't know common Muggle games like Tag. Phoenix looked to Jason.

"You're It," he said, waiting for Jason's nod before he turned to Antony. "Tag is a game where you get chased by the person who's It. If you get Tagged, you're out of the game until there's only one person left. The first person to be tagged is It the next round. Since we only have three people, the rounds will be short and back to back, though we can take breaks every so often. Since it's your first time playing, it would have been unfair for me to be It from the start," he explained. Antony frowned, but accepted the explanation. Jason gave them a ten second head start, which didn't do Antony much good as it took him a full five seconds to get on the first roof, and then the game was afoot!

An hour later, all three boys were laid out on the highest roof, drenched in sweat and breathing heavily while their muscles twitched every now and again. Finally catching some of his breath back, Antony huffed out, "Worst. Game. Ever." Phoenix laughed, though he was nearly as breathless as his friends.

"Nah. That's Knife Tag," he said, perfectly nonchalant yet completely serious. Jason and Antony both felt their hearts skip a beat while their breath hitched.

"Phoenix?" Jason started softly, eyes wide as he rolled his head to look at his grinning best friend.

"Yeah?" the Circus Brat answered, seeing absolutely nothing wrong with what he'd said.

"That's terrifying," Jason finished. Antony nodded from Phoenix's other side, not having the energy to do much else.

"Oh, you have no idea," Phoenix stated simply, shuddering at the memory of dozens of rubber knives flying through the air and Alejandro's mad grin at the Fortuna family's screams.

"Jason? I'm scared," Antony muttered. Jason nodded his head and sent up a prayer that his time with Fortuna that summer would not include Knife Tag.

"So am I, Antony. So am I," he said. Phoenix just ignored them and took a nap on the magically crafted London rooftop with a smile on his face. After all, he'd just got to spend almost a full afternoon pulling stunts with his closest friends. For Phoenix, it didn't get much better than that.

A/N: So, I hope that lived up to expectations and apologize for how long it took me to get this written.

Question of the Chapter! Do you think the Circus Fortuna sounds like a scary, if loving, place?

Bonus! What issue do you think will bring Madame Masilda and Lord Black back to Hogwarts to lambaste Dumbledore... properly this time.

Request from Authoress: how many more chapters before they break for the summer? I've got 3 more planned out. The second Storming of Hogwarts could either be the end of the Year or near the beginning/middle of Second Year. I need your help to decide!

Teaser for next time! 'Hey Jason, Antony, do either of you know how to play the guitar?'

A/N 2, you don't need to read this if you don't want to: Okay. I feel the need to tell you guys a bit about this fic from my side. The #UncleSkullVerse is a thing and where I got the basic idea. Of course, I changed things around a bit, making Skull Sirius' brother rather than his uncle and placing him in Hufflepuff. But, really, I just thought this would be a funny series of a few one shots before a few larger chapters with Phoenix wrecking the Harry Potter plot and freaking out the Arcobaleno. Then I was like, 'this is fun~!' and 'This needs to be a full story.' So, I started writing more. And then I went through with the Christmas Prank and decided that I needed more of it, so I started typing up a timeline with little incidents I thought would be funny and how Phoenix/Skull would crash each Christmas. Before I knew it, I had a monster timeline with little snippets written here and there inside it. So, I decided to break it up into a time line and an outline. Of course, it kept growing. So now, I have four main folders for this story: Hogwarts Years, Stunt Years, Arco Years, and KHR Manga Years. I may possibly go into the next few years after the manga, but I'm not too sure. And since a Trio can get up to enough shenanigans in a single Hogwarts Year to fill a book... that's 7 Year outlines and a Summer outline...

Suffice to say, this has grown into a monster that I intend to continue for quite some time. I'd do it for myself, but that you guys seem to like it so much just warms my heart. So, thank you all so much.
