Insomnia has a bad habit of striking random people at random times. No one is safe; not even the superheroes that protect Jump City, the Teen Titans. The heroes living in the Titan Tower all dealt with it in different ways; Cyborg tinkered with his car or wrote new programs and/or upgrades, Robin simply headed down to the gym and let off some steam with weightlifting or sparring with the punching bag, and Starfire spent time on her computer learning about Earth culture as much as possible.

Tonight, however, was a different story. Beast Boy and Raven were the two affected by the sandman taking an off day, and were both trying to deal with it in their different ways. Beast Boy had occupied the living room and was watching TV, while Raven was meditating. The sorceress was getting frustrated by her lack of progress, so she journeyed out into the kitchen to make herself some herbal tea. Maybe some warm liquid would do the trick.

The changeling didn't register her presence, or didn't care. He was caught in a strange state; not really sleeping, and not really awake. He was surrounded by empty cookie wrappers, and had a glass of cold milk in his hand, and the remote in the other. His eyes were glued to the TV and a little bit of drool was falling out of his mouth.

Raven strongly considered leaving him in his pathetic state, but she didn't want to go back to her room and meditate some more without any progress, or re-read another one of her books that she already read a thousand times. So, she decided to put herself in an uncomfortable situation, and attempted to socialize.

With Beast Boy.

"So... what are you watching?" she asked, calmly sipping her tea, approaching from behind the sofa.

It took him a moment, but he somehow wiggled out of his stupor to acknowledge her statement. "Huh?... oh, hey Rae... I'm watching this show called Regular Show."

Raven raised an eyebrow. "Creative title," she muttered as she took another sip, her attention now on the TV as well. "Looks kind of stupid to be honest."

Beast Boy chuckled in response. "It's totally stupid, no doubt. But that's why it's so awesome." He turned around to look at the sorceress. "Can't sleep either, huh? Why don't you watch this with me?"

Raven thought about it for a moment, then shrugged and walked around to sit on the couch with him. She really didn't have anything better to do. They both enjoyed their midnight snacks in silence, enthralled by the cartoon.

Eventually, the episode ended and Beast Boy turned off the TV. He smiled cheekily at her. "So? What did you think? Who was your favorite character?"

"It wasn't TOO bad," Raven replied, "I've definitely seen you watch worse stuff. I liked the goat."

"Y'know, for some reason, I'm not surprised you like Thomas. He's pretty cool." he said as the two put away their trash and dishes.

The two journeyed back to their rooms, across from each other. They both stopped at their doors.

"Well, good night Rae-Rae." bid the changeling, shutting his door.

"Beast Boy."

He opened it again, sticking his head out with a "Hm?"

"One more thing... the raccoon definitely reminds me of you."

Beast Boy chuckled in response... but then his eyes opened wide, realization setting in. "Hey, what's that supposed to mean?!"

"Good night Beast Boy." The sorceress shut her door before the changeling could even argue.
