Robin's POV

I wake up to the light shining through my window. I blink a couple of times to get used to the brightness. I then get out of my bed as I get ready for the day. I walk down to the kitchen to get some breakfast.

"Good morning Master Richard. Would you like some pancakes," Alfred ask me as I look over to see him cooking.

"Yeah. That would be great. Thanks," I say as I sit down on the stool.

Alfred place some pancakes in front of me and I start to eat. After I finish eating, Bruce walks in with a suitcase all packed up.

"Where are you going this time," I ask him.

"We are going to Japan," Bruce says as I hop off of my seat.

"I'll go pack my bags," I tell him as I head to my room to pack.

I enter my room and I place a suitcase on my bed. I go through my clothing as I place outfits into the suitcase. Once I am done packing, I head down to the front door with my bag. Bruce and Alfred are already there as they wait for me.

"Alright! I'm ready," I tell them as I place my suitcase down.

"Good. We will be heading to the airport shortly," Bruce says as he checks his watch.

Alfred heads out to bring the car to the front. I glace at Bruce as we wait.

"So, why are we going to Japan?"

"I have a meeting in Japan. Plus, we need to have a talk with Kaito," Bruce says as I raise an eyebrow.

"What has my cousin done this time?"

"He took the sapphire after the heist and used an identical fake one to trick the police. I want to know why," Bruce says.

"What?! That can't be true! Kaito always returns the jewel."

"Which is why I want to know why he stills have the sapphire," Bruce says as Alfred pulls up in our car. "Lets go Dick."

I then follow Bruce to the car as I think about what he told me.

'Why would Kaito do that? There have to be a real reason why,' I think as I enter the car.

I get lost in my thoughts as Alfred drives us to the airport. We pass by different buildings. I rest my head on my hand as I stare out of the window. I glance a Bruce, who is reading the newspaper.

"You think Kaito will tell us? Or do you think he will keep it a secret," I ask.

"I don't know. I do hope that we don't have to force him to tell us why he took the gem and where it is now."

They soon reach the airport. Bruce and I climb out of the car as we head towards our private jet. Alfred walks behind us, carrying our bags. We board the plane and we sit down. Once everything is in place, the plane starts heading towards the runway.

'Kaito, I hope you're safe,' I think as the plane lifts off of the ground.

Kaito's POV

I sit in class, bored out of my mind. I sigh as I scroll through the news, looking to see if there is any valuable gems close by.

'Come on, there have to be a gem that I haven't stolen yet. I can't let the Black Organization know that I have Pandora. It will also be bad if they suspect that I have it. I gotta keep them off of Tantei-Kun….er Kudo's back. Ugh, why am I still calling him Tantei-Kun? Well, old habits are hard to forget. Plus I still call him that at heist. Meh, who cares,' I say as I shrug my shoulders.

The bell rings, signaling the end of the school day. I smile as I pack my things into my bag. Aoko and I walk home as we talk about school. We soon reach our destination. I say my farewell to Aoko and I walk up to my front door. I unlock it and I enter.

"Hey Kaito! You came back just in time," my mom tells me.

"Mom? Aren't you suppose to be in Paris," I ask as I take my shoes off.

"I was, but I flew back since you're uncle and cousin will be in Japan for a meeting," she says as I enter my living room to see Uncle Bruce and Richard sitting on the couch.

"Hey Cuz! Aren't you so glad to see us," Dick says as I stand there in shock.

"...Why didn't you guys tell me?! I literally saw you guys two days ago," I say as I point my finger at them.

"It's call a surprise for a reason. We'll be here for about three days," Uncle Bruce explains.

"Ok...I'm guessing that you guys are staying here," I say as I take a seat.

"Only Dick is staying here. Bruce will be at the hotel with the other guest that are here for the meeting," my mom explains as she brings tea and cookies over.

"Oh, ok. Well Dick can stay in the guest room. I'll just need to clean it up," I say as I grab a cup of tea.

"Perfect! Well then, I need to go get some food for dinner. I'll be back in a hour," my mom says as she heads to the front door. "See you in a bit!"

With that said, she leaves, closing the door behind her. I take a sip of tea as Uncle Bruce carefully places his down.

"Now then...Kaito, where is sapphire? I know you took it and left a fake one to fool everyone," Uncle Bruce demands as he gives me his famous Bat-glare.

'Well crap,' I think as I start to cough. 'This was NOT suppose to happen...Wait, how does he even know?! Doesn't matter. Crap. Crap. Crap! What should I say? AHHHHHHH! Ok ok, poker face. You got this.'

After my pep talk, I open my mouth to speak. Only to be cut off.

"Also, how did you get it out of the country? It should have been seen at the airport," Dick ask me.

"I'm a thief, I know how to hide valuable things in plain sight," I tell my cousin as I look at my uncle. "Look Uncle, this isn't something I want to involve you and Dick in."

"You stole a gem Kaito. And you somehow got it out of America. This is our business," Bruce tells me.

"I get you're point. I do, but this is bigger than I want it to be. So please, for once please don't dig into this case. I am begging you, stay out of this. My mom doesn't even know that I'm involved."

"How many people are involved in this case? By the sounds of it, there is a decent handful working on this," Uncle Bruce ask me.

"I don't know everyone. Only two people know that KID is involved. We actually only connected the two cases together 3-4 months ago," I tell them. "Look, I already told you guys too much. But the gem is safe and it's hidden. The organization doesn't even know that we have the gem."

"Why this gem? Why not any of the others that you stole and then returned," Dick ask me.

I fall silent as I debate as to whether or not to tell them. I sigh, know that they won't drop the subject unless I tell them. Plus, there isn't a lot about Pandora out on the internet. I've checked.

"The gem is call Pandora. It's basically a gem within a gem. How I know that this is Pandora is when I held it up to the moon, you can see the other gem within it. Which is red, by the way," I explains.

"What's so special about it? It's just a gem," Dick says.

"It's not just a gem. You know the comet called the Volley Comet?"

"Yes. It's suppose to be making a pass near the earth soon," Bruce says.

"Well, when you hold Pandora up as the comet pass, it's suppose to 'cry' and whoever drinks it's 'tears', they will become immortal. That's why I'm looking...well looked for Pandora," I tell them as I fold my hands together. "Look...you can't tell anyone what I told you. We don't know how powerful this organization is. So promise me that you'll say out of this. I already lost my dad to them, I'm not going to loose anyone else."

"Wait...Uncle Toichi was murdered? He didn't die in an accident," Dick says in shock.

"Yeah...I had a run-in with them when I stole Blue Birthday. That's how I learned about Pandora," I tell them, leaving out the part about getting shot at and almost dying. "Now can you see why I don't what you guys involved? I don't know how many other people they have killed to try and get their greedy hands on Pandora. I promise you that I'll be fine."

"Kaito, you will be keeping me updated about the case," Uncle Bruce says as I open my mouth to object, only for him to cut me off. "I know you won't tell me the details. What I want to know is that you're safe and if you have destroyed Pandora. Understood?"

"Yes Uncle," I say, knowing that he wouldn't back down.

"Also, don't be afraid to call for help. This case sounds like it's a big deal. Do you know if any government organization is trying to bring it down?"

"Yeah. Kudo mentioned that the FBI is trying to get them," I say as I realize that I mentioned Kudo.

"Shinichi Kudo is part of this too? He's been missing for almost a year," my cousin points out.

"He's in hiding. They tried killed him, but they didn't succeed. He's one of the two people that know about Pandora. If you're going to ask for the FBI agents name, I don't know them. Never met them and I hope that I never will," I tell them. "Anyways, You can't tell anyone, not even my mom. Please."

"Fine," Uncle Bruce promise as I sigh.

"Thanks," I mutter.

Luckily for me, my mom enters at that exact moment. I sigh in relief as I stand up.

"You need help Mom?"

"Yes please. Thank you Kaito. So, did you guys have a nice chat while I was gone?"

"Yup! Kaito was showing us some magic tricks," Dick says as he comes over to help.

"Wonderful! Now then, let's make some dinner and then eat it," my mom says as she smiles.

"Sounds like a plan!"
