A/N- this is not a prompt fill, but I've finished my last exam of my undergrad career and also I've been continuously drinking since 12:30 pm (It's 11:36 pm rn) so yeah, have this tiny, soft Hayato fic.

Ryu tended to wear clothes that were too big for him. Hayato hadn't realised this fact until he had to roll up Ryu's sleeves during a baking session with the kids. That was the start of it. Pale skin that seemed to contrast with the crisp white uniform shirt, Hayato couldn't stop thinking about it. The thing about Ryu was that he was innocent in this way. Hayato wasn't sure that he knew what he was doing. Hell the way his uniform draped over his fingers, just slightly too big made Hayato's heart beat in summersaults. Just the sight of Ryu in the day care centre with his sleeves falling over his fingers made Hayato pause for a moment.

He wasn't ready. At least that was what he told himself. He wasn't ready to love a boy who put the needs of these kids ahead of his own. Who cherished these kids so much that he'd make sure the children were loved and cared for before even thing about himself. Hayato dreamed of kissing those pale wrists and carding his fingers through that soft red-brown hair. For now, the two had other things to worry about, but Hayato could wait. Until they were both ready, Hayato could wait.

So to reiterate, I'm very drunk so have this teeny tiny fic about Hayato contemplating Ryu's fashion sense. Hopefully I'll have a chance to really elaborate on this. Love y'all!
