I own neither BNHA, nor do I own D&D (no matter how much I wish that I could own either). All characters and abilities belong to their respective owners. I apologize for the very long wait. Real life reared its head. Long story short, I left college, found a job, lost a job, and found another one that eats most weekends, moved twice, and had to learn how to live on my own. Its been a wild time. Fortunately, now that I have a schedule that I am used to, updates should come bimonthly. Again, my sincerest apologies for the long wait. It won't happen again.

As he felt himself falling forwards, Izuku's only thought was, 'Just great, not even at the practical, and I'm already faceplanting.' His second thought was 'Why am I floating?'. As he pondered this sudden, but not unwelcome development, a girl beside him said, "Sorry for using my quirk on you, but it would be bad luck to fall before a test. See you later!". With a clap of her hands, Izuku fell onto his feet, and the cheerful girl ran to the testing room ahead of him. While he was still pondering that development, he was shouldered to the side as Bakugo pushed past him with a muttered, "Out of the way Deku". Presented with a familiar scenario, Izuku quickly found his bearings and ran into the testing room.
Making his way to his seat, he felt himself relax. The written test he was sure he could do well in. After all, he had spent most mornings with his notes from middle school, refreshing himself on anything that could be on the written test. He wasn't worried about that. The practical however, was a mystery and that had him a little nervous. How was he supposed to prepare for something that was being kept from him? If it was a spar with a teacher, or another pro-hero, Izuku felt confident he could perform well enough to get into the hero course.
Interrupting his train of thought, was Present Mic, screeching the instructions to the written test. The very big test. With a grin, he grabbed his pencil and started filling in the bubbles on the scantron paper. Two hours later, he finished with a sigh. He had overprepared for the test. And he still had to wait for two hours for the time to be up, so he could get his instructions for the practical exam. Out of nowhere, he had an overwhelming urge to sleep. With a quiet thud, his head hit his arms. When Izuku opened his eyes again, he was face to face with his patron. "Izuku," his patron started," I want you to do well on the practical. All others here were born with their powers, and you have only recently… acquired yours. If you do well, you will be rewarded. If you do poorly, there is a favor that I will need you to do for me. Seeing as you have a little over an hour and forty-five, we may as well brush up on your combat skills."
After an hour and a half warm up spar against his patron, Izuku was shaken awake, by a boy wearing glasses and looking down disapprovingly at him. "Do you know how rude it is, to those still taking the test, to fall asleep during an examination? If you re not going to take this seriously, you need to leave. This is a school for people who want to help and protect people."
Izuku, still waking up, responded "Sorry, one of my friends wanted to discuss different applications of my quirk. He is interested in seeing it grow and change. We were keeping track of time as well. Sorry if you were offended by this."
As the boy sat down, Present Mic explained about the one, two, and three pointer robots. The glasses wearing boy began to stand up again, but a look for Izuku stalled him long enough for Present Mic to elaborate on the… Thwomp. With no further questions, everyone was released to their respective arenas. Of course, Izuku, and glasses boy were in the same group, as was the girl who saved Izuku from a face plant. Thankfully, for Izuku, Bakugo was not in his area.
As Izuku went to thank the girl who literally and figuratively saved his face, the glasses boy was in his way. "I don't know what you are trying to do, but I won't let you sabotage that girl's chance to get into such a prestigious academy. I am beginning to think that you are a faculty plant and are trying to throw all of us off our game." Izuku just looked at him. With a facepalm, Izuku said, "I am not a plant. I am an examinee. She stopped me from falling straight on my face outside of the testing facility. I'm sorry for trying to be a good person and thank her."
They were interrupted by Present Mic screeching "GO!". As all the participants leapt forward, Izuku summoned his sword, looking like a rapier. As it was lighter than the longsword he normally used, it was better for longer fights. It also would make it easier to penetrate the metal chassis of the robots. Right off the bat, Izuku sees two one pointers, and with a flick of his wrist and a shout, sends an eldritch blast at the both. The blasts hit, and with a crackle of green energy, the two one pointers fall over, broken. With a grin, Izuku runs toward a three pointer, entering a base fencing stance. Before he can thrust his sword forward, a beam of sparkling light slams into, and through the three-pointer, destroying it. A boy with a belt with a glass lens in it gives a wave and turns away. Izuku then turns to find a two-pointer starting to aim its gun at him. He laughs, reaches into a pouch on his hip and pulls out a finger gun. With another shout, two more eldritch blasts fly out of his hand, one hitting its mark, and felling the robot. The other blast barely misses, and flies past that robot, hitting one that was floating in the air. Izuku wasn't sure who got those points, so he kept his score at 4. Without a further thought, he ran off to the block to the left, hoping to find more robots. And boy, did he. All the robots that had heard and were heading to the main square of the faux town towards the fighting. There was two three-pointers, four two-pointers, and four one-pointers in a group. With a cry of "Hunger of Hadar", a small point in space burst open, with the void between worlds shining brightly. With whispers of things that should not be, and a twist of grey, slimy, toothed tentacles, the robots were torn asunder, and then they disappeared. Izuku mentally brought his total points up to 22. Izuku looked behind him, and saw a red-haired girl, with large hands, whimpering and turning to puke. He caught her whisper of "What, the actual, hell was that?" as he ran past her in search of more points. He wondered why her reaction was so strong. It wasn't like he summoned some terrible, Lovecraftian monster; It was just a manifestation of the concept of hunger, taken to an extreme.
Izuku felt himself smiling. He was ahead of everyone else that had been counting points under their breath, as far as he had heard. Walking into another block adjacent to where most of the fighting was taking place, Izuku saw, once again, a large group of robots bearing down on his position. With a smile, he pulled a petrified newt's eye out of his pocket, and let a green smoke leave his fingertips. The smoke travelled, straight to the lead 3 pointer, completely unaffected by the wind. It covered the robot's eyes, making it hard for it to see. With a smirk, Izuku rushed forward, dispelling his rapier, and re-summoned it as he leapt into the air. As he came down, a great sword appeared in his hand. He came down like a shot and cleaved into the head and into the chest of the hexed robot, and the glow in its red eyes faded. Izuku brought his mental tally up to 25. The green smoke flowed onto a 1-pointer. Izuku took 2 steps back, and then the robots stepped toward him. As their blows came towards him, he twisted and ducked around all but one. The two-pointers fist knocked the air out of him and threw him across the street. The green smoke faded into nothing as Izuku couldn't hold the spell in his mind any longer. With an angry shout, Izuku sent two eldritch blasts at two of the robots, the 2-pointer that had hit him and a 1-pointer, pushing them both back 10 feet, and smashing them against a wall. With his other hand, he struggled to lift the great sword, and managed to smash the head of a 1-pointer, by using it more like a club than a sword. With this, his points were at 29, and he was starting to get tired. All his combat training had been one on one, or one on two or three, and in a designated space. All this running around was starting to tire him out. The other three robots around him seemed to sense his tiredness, and all converged on him. Izuku dropped his sword, covered his head, and hit his knees, waiting for the blows to hit him. Instead, he heard a hissing sound and metallic thumps. Looking up, he saw a pink skinned girl giving him a thumbs up and then running away. Deciding to take a minute, and catch his breath, Izuku sat on one of the destroyed robots. After he sat down, Present Mic screamed out a 5-minute warning. After sitting for a minute, Izuku got back up and charged back into the fray, rapier in hand. After finding a group of 4 1-pointers, which were dealt with little trouble, bringing his total to 33 points. After dealing with that group, the ground started to shake, and a building collapsed. A four-story robot rose out of the ground and smashed the ground in front if it. Izuku turned to leave, until he noticed the girl who stopped his face plant stuck underneath some debris in front of the incoming robot. He turned on his heel, and ran towards her, hoping to free here so that they both could get out of the way, and he could payback the save. After reaching her, he tried to lift the concrete, to no avail. With the large robot bearing down on them, Izuku panicked, and let loose an eldritch blast at it, sending it flying off the girl, and landing 10 feet away. Unfortunately, her ankle was in the way of the rock, and was forcibly moved out of the way, in a direction that ankles were no supposed to bend. Seeing as she was in no position to walk, Izuku helped her stand, and they began to hobble away as fast as they could. A loud crunch sounded from behind them, as the foot came down. A deep, mechanical voice thundered, "TARGETS ACQUIRED. STARTING ELIMINATION PROTOCOLS." As Izuku heard this, he chanced a glance behind him, and did not like what he saw. The multi-story robot was staring directly at them, and its eyes were locked onto the two of them. With another step, the giant foot was right behind them, the force of the impact knocking them to the ground. Panic filled Izuku, and he quickly hummed a melody that he'd heard his Patron hum as they sparred. Unbeknownst to Izuku, as he hummed, the sounds of reed flutes and drums filled the air as well, with no discernable source. The robot bearing down on them seemed to flinch, as Izuku finished the melody with a Dissonant Whisper. The robot turned and ran, and Izuku continued to help the girl, and he really needed to learn her name, hobble to safety. As the Zero pointer turned back towards them and began to lumber at them again, Present Mic called time. As soon as that happened, a little old lady came running at Izuku, her needle cane waving as she asked him, out of breath, "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? The girl would have been fine, the Zero pointer had safety protocols that wouldn't have allowed her to have been hurt! Instead, now she has, at the very least a sprained, if not broken ankle!" Izuku looked down and muttered an apology, and turned red. As the woman's lips extended and kissed the girl's ankle, which had started to swell, a green sparkle emanated from the injured joint, and the swelling immediately began to alleviate. The girl gave a sigh of relief as Recovery Girl helped her onto an automated stretcher and sent it off to the Infirmary. Izuku slunk off, with his head held low. As he left, recovery Girl stopped him, saying "I know that I came across harshly, and I want to apologize for that. You couldn't have known about the safety protocols, and you were doing what you thought was right. If this was a real-world scenario, it would've been the right call."
As Izuku left, several people were taking note of him. The engine legged boy was watching him rethinking his initial opinion of him. The red haired, green eyed girl who he had scared was keeping a wary eye on him. The girl he saved was thinking about how she compared performance wise to him. The Principal and All Might were both concerned over the strength and variety of powers he had shown, and more so what it meant if he had been quirkless at one point. His patron was watching all of them, and with a chuckle, he disappeared, leaving several balance scale shaped cracks on UA campus grounds.
