So I found this WIP in my notes and decided to publish it because why not? It cuts off a little short but if enough people like it I may continue it

Nagisa had what some might call a 'complicated' relationship with his mother.

Nagisa's mother Hiromei was incredibly over protective of Nagisa to the point of being possessive, it often seemed that Hiromei treated Nagisa as her possession more than a individual.

Nagisa often felt suffocated, but he always tried his best to please his mother However, that could be difficult; Hiromi's emotions were like the sea, changing within moments from calm to a raging storm within seconds.

Hiromi's mood swings went from a rare occurrence to part of daily life after her husband left- Nagisa felt constantly on edge- One wrong move would send his mother from sweet and caring to screaming and raging. He couldn't ever let her guard down.. he always had to be on watch for his mother's changeable temperament.

Nagisa's mother was difficult to please- She was always criticising Nagisa for not being 'Lady-like' enough, or smart enough.

Dad had left two years ago now, Nagisa still saw him, but not as often as he would like. Hiromi often called her ex-husband a weak man, and Nagisa had to agree; His father was always kind to him, but he never stepped up to properly take care of him or take charge, he was always watching from the sidelines, mild and milquetoast.

However, Nagisa was starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel, because for the past few weeks, her mother's mood was improving. She hardly ever had violent verbal outbursts or mood swings, and she's even relaxed on her constant critique of Nagisa. Perhaps she was finally coming to terms with her husband leaving her?

One day before school, Hiromi was brushing Nagisa's long blue hair, tying it into ribbons. Hiromi ALWAYS had to do Nagisa's hair, and she ALWAYS decided what the boy would wear, even though Nagisa was 15, not 5. She treated her daughter like a doll.

"Nagisa sweetheart, I have some wonderful news." She said, her voice full of honey and sweetness. Despite this, Nagisa still felt a slight tingle of nerves.

"What is it, mother?" He asked, drumming his fingers on his thighs.

"I've met a wonderful man, we've been going on a few dates. I wasn't going to tell you Nagisa, but listen to this- " She said, her voice full of excitement. "We're going to be moving in with him!"

"What!?" Nagisa chocked out, unable to keep his composure. He'd only just found out about this guy now they were moving in? His mind whirled around, he suddenly felt sick to his stomach. "M- moving in with him? When..?"

Maybe this was a far of future plan.

"As soon as we sell this dingy old flat. Oh, Nagisa it will be wonderful- " His mother sighed, her eyes dreamy. "It was so expensive paying the bills for this place by myself.. now we'll live in a real house.."

Nagisa had to bite his tongue to stop himself from shouting; this was all happening too fast, so fast he wanted to be sick.. he sucked in a deep breath of air, his mother not noticing how distressed her son was. "Who.. who exactly is this man?"

His mother blushed like a school girl. "Well.. he's someone you actually know." She said, coyly. "His name is Gakuho Asano, but you know him as the chairman of your middle school."

"What!?"
