Ariel rushed down to the shore, feeling a chill run through her body as she did so. It was a lot colder than she had expected, even though she had taken a light coat with her. But it didn't bother her. Her sister was coming to stay for a day!
Happily, Ariel waited at the shore to meet Adella, searching the dark blue waters for any sign of the brunette mermaid. After a few minutes of standing in silence, the princess finally spotted her romantic of a sister emerge from the water, the heart locket around her neck starting to fade from glowing.
Ariel rushed to meet her sister, embracing her in a hug. When she released her, Adella smiled before shivering and wrapping her arms around herself, a frown on her face. "W-Why is it so… so not warm?" Adella questioned, her teeth beginning to involuntarily chatter.
Ariel giggled at her sister. "It's called cold, Adella. It isn't always warm on land." The redhead felt a bit proud of herself; for once, she was the one teaching about something new. "But let's go back to the castle, okay?"
Adella nodded eagerly, and the two began to walk back to Ariel's home. Suddenly, a few snowflakes began to fall from the sky, which excited Ariel but baffled Adella. The brunette squealed and jumped around, trying to avoid being touched by the strange white flakes. "Ariel!" Adella called desperately, her voice strained as she looked around at all the white pieces.
The princess turned around to look at her sister, and openly laughed when she saw the way her older sister was acting. "Adella, it's okay!" Ariel bit her tongue to stope herself from laughing. She grabbed her sister's hands and pulled her into a frenzy of snowflakes. Releasing her, Ariel began spinning around in the now-cold sand, her arms spread as she looked up at the sky.
Seeing the way Ariel was acting about this, Adella imitated her, and before long the two mermaid sisters were spinning around, their giggles ringing through the air. "What is this stuff?" Adella laughed.
Ariel giggled and exclaimed, "It's snow!" Just then, both girls fell back into the sand, laughing with each other as she enjoyed the beautiful white snowflakes.
