Prompt Three is here guys! I'll just shut up now...

"Come on, dude!"

Randy huffed and puffed. They weren't in gym class, so why were they running? Well, Randy wasn't sure. All he knew was that Howard had grabbed his thin wrist and pulled him along.

"Where are we going?" Randy asked.

"Relax, man. You'll find out soon enough," was all Howard gave.

Randy let out a soft moan. Of course, his best friend wouldn't tell him where they were going. Of frickin course.

"Why won't you tell me?" Randy whined.

"Because it's a surprise," Howard said with the 'duh' clearly in his tone.

"But I don' wanna be surprised. I wanna know now!"

"Don't be a baby."

And Randy pouted. But then again, being with Howard had its perks.

"Okay. Since we're close, I need to close your eyes," Howard said.

"What?" Randy asked. "But-!"

"Oh, for the love of… just do it, Cunningham!"

Randy rolled his eyes before he closed them. Howard walked behind him, carefully guiding him from side to side and he couldn't help but smile softly. Of course, Howard would be careful. Everyone was extra careful around him, ever since…

Randy shook his head. No, he wouldn't think about that specific memory. It wasn't worth it. That only brought him pain. And he didn't want pain.

"Okay, you can open your eyes now," Howard told him.

He chuckled and opened his blue eyes and gasped. They were on a hill in the forest, yes, but it wasn't the place that made him gasp. It was the view, and it was beautiful.

"Told you it was worth the surprise," Howard said.

"Yeah yeah. But, why did you bring me here?" Randy asked.

"Well, we've been best friends for a long time, and only recently have you and I come out of the closet."

"Y-yeah, what about it?"

"I know that something happened to you, and I don't know all of the details. Wait wait wait, I'm not gonna ask you about it, nor will I. I'll let you tell me whenever you're ready."

"What are you saying?"

"Cunningham, I've been in love with you ever since I could remember. But, I was too scared to ask you out, thinking that you were straight. So, knowing what I know now, I wanted to ask you something. Will you, Randall Cunningham, do me the honor of being my boyfriend?"

Randy gave a wet chuckle.

"Y-yes! Yes, I would like that," Randy stuttered out.

The two best friends turned lovers shared a soft, chaste kiss. Randy knew he wasn't okay (and probably would never fully be okay again), but it was a start. And he had Howard to help him through it. For now, they were calm and at peace.

So, how was it? Hopefully not too bad, all things considered.
