Get ready, because I'm an asshole and this is not an update, but an author's note. One that has a ridiculous amount of tangents and therefore must be sorted into pieces. Bellow is Exhibit A, where you can find 'A Mediocre Apology from a Mediocre Author'.

Welp. First off, I'm really sorry. Like, I know how irritating it is to be ready to read a chapter...only to find out it's an authors note. And for that, I'm sorry. Really really sorry. I just wanted to make sure as many people interested in this story as possible got this message. So, we goods? I hope you said yes...'cause if not...

*Awkward Silence*

Bullshit Explanation for why I Refuse to Update:

Okay, word of advice. This section gets messy and stupid. So buckle up boys and girls and dive in headfirst...or just skip.

Anyway.

Explanation: So yah. When I first started writing this I was like...what? Twelve? Thirteen? And well, it's been a couple years since then...and although to some of you that may not seem long...for me it's like. Okay, I'm a whole new version of moi. I'm new. New. New and different. Different.

And also at a different level of writing ability? and maturity? (less mature...more mature...that's up for interpretation). So when I look at the chapters I've published...the old writing...

*cringes*

Yah. It's like, almost painful to know that stuff is out and people are reading it still...and that's reason number one why I haven't given this fic attention.

The second reason...is because, as I've mentioned in previous author notes, I set this up reeeeal sloppily. Like, I was so so so excited to hear what you guys thought of it...I just ruuuushed. Riiiight through it. And there is zero plot. You know how authors usually have like, at least some idea of what is going to happen in their stories? Not me. I was goin' chapter by chapter. So now I really don't have anything to do with this as I've set it up?

So thems my biggest explanations...There's more, of course. School...family...procrasina-(Shh!)...but those two are the biggest reasons.

But now that I've identified the issues (look at that...sounding all professional? Nah?) I'm lookin' to move forward in a way they don't affect progress?

End, bullshit explanation.

The Plan Going Forward:

Well, first off.

I'm going to rewrite this fic.

Did any of you just like, give up and leave after reading that sentence? Like, nope?! This author is going off the rails and making this into way to big of a thing? No?

I would've.

But you're still here, so here's the plan for how I'm gonna accomplish the 'rewrite'.

I'm going to go. I'm going to figure out a plot...or at least a guideline...for the next rendition of this.

I'm going to write out a draft...of every chapter.

I'm going to fix up chapter one.

I will post chapter one.

Then I will repeat with every chapter.

So, because I'm planning to do a lot of prep work for the entire thing before even posting chapter one...you can bet it'll be a while before chap #1 is out and posted. But once it is...I'll have a way faster updating schedule...something consistent for once.

And that's the plan.

So...What does all that Mean for 'Okay, We're on an Island...the first rendition specifically?:

Well, for one thing. I'm not finishing this version.

If you guys are really stubborn and like, refuse to read the new one? Fine. Your choice. But just know...I won't be updating this version. This is dead. I'm going to take the dust of this fic and rise from the ashes like a majestic chicken...yes, you read that right. I love chickens and phoenixes are overrated.

("Cluck, Cluck, Motherfuckers")

So, to finalize, there will be NO more updates here.

None.

However...the new version will be similar...similar, but different. Better? Hopefully? So you should be able to gain the same stuff from that one as you would here?
