We're on the twenty-eighth day now. We're almost there.

Louise stared in awe at her surroundings. She had lived her entire life in the Kingdom of Tristain and had never seen a place like this.

"I thought you might like Japan," said a voice to her right.

The pink-haired noble looked at her new husband, who was smiling down at her.

"I didn't think your homeworld would be like this, Saito," said Louise. "These buildings are bigger than most castles!"

Saito chuckled at that. "You haven't seen anything yet."

Louise was led by Saito as he showed her everything he could of Tokyo. From shrines to ramen stands to even the subway, Louise got to see it all, although she didn't care for the subway. It was much too crowed for her liking.

"Saito, your home is so wonderful!" exclaimed Louise, turning to her husband to give him a smile. "I think I might actually want to stay here."

That got the boy to raise an eyebrow. "Really? You rather live here in Japan than Tristain?"

A blush started to appear on Louise's face. "I want to live where you are, Saito. I know that you missed your home while you were in my world and I want you to be happy."

She let out a squeak when Saito brought her into a hug.

"Are you sure about this though, Louise?" asked Saito, mumbling into her hair. "You might not ever be able to get back home. I don't want you doing something you might regret later."

"I was ready for that possibility the moment I opened the portal."

"…Then welcome home, Louise."

Louise nuzzled her husband's chest, happy that she would be able to stay with him. Sure there was the possibility that she would never see her own family again, but she would cross that bridge later.

Right now, she just wanted to be with her loving husband.

I've never seen Familiar of Zero, but from what I've heard most people don't care for it because of the writing or the characters or something along those lines. Don't quote me on that though.
