Author's note: This is a little short but I wanted to write something for these two. A review is welcome! Any thoughts on season 2? Predictions for s3?
Marinette resisted a groan as she tried to untangle herself from her boyfriend but quickly gave up. He was a heavy sleeper. She sighed and started playing with Adrien's blonde hair. He had come to her house as Chat Noir around midnight and apologized for waking her. She didn't mind. After their final battle with Hawkmoth, he left his house whenever he had the chance.
Marinette looked at the clock. 2 am. She rubbed her eyes. She was very tired. Luckily it was Saturday so she could sleep in a little. Looking over at Tikki and Plagg, sound asleep in a small pillow she made for them, Marinette realized she was the only one awake. How could they sleep? It was so warm.
Once again, she did her best to get out of bed. Adrien stirred twice so she had to freeze in place and did her best to not wake him. Eventually, she was able to stand and walked over to her desk to drink from her water bottle.
It was interesting how they had gotten to this point. After working with each other and being friends without knowing it, revealing their identities had been a wave of emotions. Marinette didn't really know to describe it. First, she felt shocked, for a second or two afraid, then relieved, happy, and finally she felt regret. Regret because of how she had treated him as Chat. She felt ashamed.
Marinette had started to feel something more toward Chat when she decided she would start getting over Adrien. Who saw her as a good friend and nothing more. Little did they both know, they had fallen for each other, just in a different and complicated way.
"Hey! M'lady, don't worry, I feel like an idiot too!"
He said this when he saw the tears forming in her eyes.
They had a long talk that night. They laughed, cried and exchanged a promise. They would always be there for each other, no matter what.
Not long after that, they officially started dating. That had been a few months ago, right after they defeated hawkmoth, Adrien's father. Let's just say some wounds were still trying to heal.
Marinette walked back to her bed and found Adrien clutching a pillow. He was frowning, and his forehead was covered in a bit of sweat.
He's having another nightmare. Marinette carefully climbed into bed and started to stroke his hair softly. His breathing calmed down and his brows relaxed.
"It's okay." She whispered. "I'm here."
Marinette gently placed a kiss on his cheek and snuggled closer to him. Despite being a hero of Paris, she wasn't quite sure what do when it came to supporting Adrien and what he went through. She guessed all she could do as Marinette was be there for him, let him know that he's not alone.
Marinette breathed in and out and slowly closed her eyes. A smile formed on her lips when she felt Adrien's arm pull her closer.
