A/N: So. I haven't updated in ages, and that's mainly cause I've kind of lost interest in the fandom. And also because I kind of hate most of my writing in this, probably cause I started this when I was a crap writer and have improved a lot since then. Really sorry, I was in the middle of writing this chapter when I started moving onto other stuff.

I thought I'd share what I wrote so far, I'll probably pick this up again and rewrite it/ continue it if I gain back some interest in bnha, so for now, I'm just going to say this is on hiatus. If I know for sure I'll be dropping this than I will post my plan for this.

And just in case someone for some reason is interested enough in this story to do so, I won't give this for adoption. I don't really care if you use the idea and plotlines, but I'm not going to give the story to someone, you can continue it, just, like, don't copy and paste what I write.

Again, really sorry, I have stories that I wish authors hadn't dropped as well, but I'm not going to write something if I don't find interest in it.

Phoenix took another drag from cigarette, staring at the villain in amusement. "Where's your pet?" He asked, glancing around the empty room.

Shiragaki growled, scratching his arm even more intensely. "She's at school." He spat out the last word with derision.

Phoenix grinned, leaning further in his self-made throne. "I meant the teleporting one."

Shiragaki scowled. "Sensei lugged him off somewhere, so I've come to ask you a couple of questions."

Phoenix hummed, blowing a flame onto his cigar. "Be my guest."

Shiragaki narrowed his eyes. "Who are you?"

Phoenix froze for a couple seconds before bursting out into laughter. "What a broad question, my dear Tomura, one that can be answered in so many different ways."

Shiragaki scowled. "Sensei may trusts you."

"He really doesn't."

"Sensei may let you do what you want."

"Again, he does not."

"But I won't."

"You really are ignoring me?"

"Unless you give me more information about you."

"Are you trying to threaten me? If so, be aware that your trust isn't something I value."

"So talk."

Phoenix stared at the villain for a couple seconds before bursting out into incredulous laughter. "A chihuahua's trying to be tough. How cute."

Shiragaki growled and swung a fist towards the man.

He caught it with ease, and Phoenix simply clicked his tongue disapprovingly, "now, now, what has Sensei told you about treating your allies?" He twisted the villain's arm and held him over his knee. "Be nice to them."

Shiragaki flailed around, desperately trying to claw his way out of the hold without touching the other man with all five fingers.

Phoenix smiled at the display. "How precious, you're trying not to permanently injure me," he let Shiragaki go and the man toppled to the ground. "In that case I'll tell you a little story, listen closely, my dear Tomura." He grinned. "It's starts of with a little boy named Haiyo Koen…

In a barren land, mobbed by sandstorms and droughts, a remote village stood. Wind-beaten houses, dried-down land and naught electricity, the village was a picture of the past. A past where the phenonium known as Quirks had only just begun, and had yet to reach the ears of the villagers.

So when a young boy began to show capability of supernatural acts, the villagers did what they always did.

"A deity," they proclaimed, bustling around the boy enshroud in flames, "one blessed with powers us humans know not."

The young boy became a symbol of worship. Money, jewelry, food, everything was presented to him on a silver platter, he could want for nothing. All Koen had to do was stay in his temple like good boy and assist the villagers if the Elders saw fit. It was a pathetic, but peaceful, existence. As many would recount, the boy hadn't had to go through the initial discrimination that many of the Quirked Indivduals at the time were forced through.

But the harmonious cooperation wouldn't last forever, not unless the boy realised the potential of his powers.

"I want to leave the temple!" Koen declared, shedding the various ornaments adorned onto him and glaring at his guard in pure twelve-year-old innocence.

The man glanced at him nervously, shuffling the rifle in his hand as he tittered around the exit. "Is that such a good idea? The Elders would very much prefer it if you stayed inside."

Koen pouted. "But I'm bored," he whined, "there's nothing to do here, I want to go outside!"

The guard shrugged helplessly. "I can't do anything about it."

The boy glared at the man. "Then I will."

He barely had time to widen his eyes before a flame-packed knocked him cold.

Koen grinned vindictaly, wrapping a scarf around his head as he raced down the temple stairs. "FREEDOM HERE I COME!"

"Innocent? Pure?" Shiragaki snorted. "What are you high on?"

Phoenix only laughed. "I was quite the naive child back then, not surprising, considering I spent half my life treated like a God."

Shiragaki sneered. "You make your life sound like a fairy tale, I'm not sure what I believe."

Phoenix yawned, stretching his arms as he stood up. "Believe what you want, I told you a bit about me so you can get off my back now." He raised an eyebrow at the man and gestured to the door. "Shoo."

Shiragaki scowled at him, muttering a soft, "you're not the boss or me," as he shuffled his way out of the room.

Phoenix eyed the door as it clicked shut, grin contorting into a scowl. "Nosy brat," he muttered, scratching the arm of his throne vehemently. The ear-piercing screechs wheedled his body into frenzied shudders and eased a grin back onto his face. Phoenix let his tongue skim over his parted lips as he slumped back onto his throne. He ran a thumb over his self-made crevices and smiled in content. 'I'm so close,' he thought, 'so very close.'

"Koen," his grandfather looked at him disapprovingly, "you knocked the guard unconscious and went outside. That's two rules you've broken."

Koen pouted, twiddling his thumbs as he curled up on his bed. "What's the big deal? You guys found me in like two minutes, and the guy woke up in another five."

His grandfather only sighed, bending down and caressing his chin. "Do not take this so lightly, my dear boy, you are safe because they believe they can control you. Once you prove them wrong there is no turning back."

Koen only scoffed. "Control me? I'm a fricken' deity compared to everyone else."

His grandfather simply shook his head, getting up. "You are not what they made you believe, do not be fooled."

Koen blew a raspberry at the old man. "Yeah, yeah, sure, whatever."

The door gently opened and a young woman entered, bowing her head towards Koen. "The Elders wish to see you."

Koen frowned. "Tell'm I'll be there in five."

The young woman nodded and left.

Koen glanced at his grandfather, who raised an eyebrow at him.

"Be careful, my boy, be careful."

Koen scoffed, standing up and thumping a hand on his grandfather's back. "You worry too much," he grinned, clenching a fist, "if they do something dodgy I'll give em the old one two."

His grandfather chuckled, patting his head fondly. "Of course you will."

Phoenix sighed, sitting up in his throne. 'I did, in the end, too bad you weren't here to see it.'
