Sat on the rooftops of Patch City was a faunas girl with a black military bag. Along with the red hoodie she wore, she sported a black goggles with red lenses, black finger-less gloves, a set of red laced black combat boots and a pair of Autumn camouflage combat trousers. sticking out of her head was a pair of neat black wolf ears and an equally well-kept tail stuck out from between her trousers and hoodie.

The girl had a solemn expression that screamed, 'Go away...'

That lasted up until a blond girl came from behind her and gave her the world's biggest bear hug. "YAAANNNGG!" The girl screeched, waving about in her sister's arms.

"Why 'Xiao-Long' face sis?" Yang beamed as she let go of the red clad girl.

A groan escaped her lips at the horrific pun and a sigh for her current thoughts, "It's just... We've grown up in Patch and I don't wanna leave." her head twisted to stare out at the city.

"Ruby..." Yang drew her sister into a hug before continuing, "I promise Vale is gonna be way cooler."

Ruby was known back in patch for her insane speed. It wasn't like she had some powers. She just wasn't a real girl and that wasn't her putting herself down. Ruby was a machine. Yes she could think and feel emotions like a person and yes she looked like a healthy girl. She even had growth mechanics (Though they only lasted up until the age of fifteen)!

Ruby had ended up getting lost in transit and the people that made her didn't think to put a locator inside of her. She never really wondered what life she would've had as she was to focused on the present to care.

Currently she had her goggles down and was racing the 'fastest' runner Vale had. She looked back and saw her opponent taking a right as ahead of her was a hundred foot drop. On the other side of the gap was the building where they would finish the race. she smirked before she activated her 'speed boost'.

Ruby suddenly blurred before she accelerated to the speed of sound. She ended up flying across the gap and landed right at the finishing building with a combat role, "let's see, got to take the stairs up sixty times or..." Ruby trailed off looking at the elevator doors.

To say Yang was worried was an understatement. Her sister had flown across an urban chasm into the side of a building before disappearing out of view. currently she was curled in a ball muttering words like 'I failed' and 'I'm a failiure'. while this happened people lost focu on the blond and instead focused on the noise coming from the elevator shaft. It seemed as if a train was shooting up it then abruptly stopped right at it's loudest.

CRASH!

The doors of the elevator shaft split open and revealed a streak of red.

"Umm, hi..." Ruby trailed off, slightly embarrased at the attention when Yang Tackled her and started to berate her for her 'life threataning stunt'.
