Hey everyone, I know. I know. You all hate these posted as individual chapters. Believe me, I never thought I would do this, myself. However, I owe an explanation to this story's followers for the continued delay on chapter 5, so please, bear with me.

First of all, know that I appreciate every single one of you who has favorited and decided to follow Second Honeymoon. It means the world to me that my work is read at all, let alone by so many. Secondly, I hope you are all staying safe during these unprecedented times in the U.S. and worldwide. It's not easy, especially for empaths, those with mental illnesses, and those most affected by the riots. These are scary and uncertain times we live in and I want you to know that though I don't know you, I love you and I am here for you. If you need to talk, I'm a message away. If you need to rant and rave, share your stories, if you don't feel like you're being heard, I will listen.

And now, the reason I haven't updated this story since February. Well, two main reasons. When COVID-19 first hit the U.S. and we started seeing the affects of the virus firsthand, I stopped writing and began making masks. I don't care to count the number of masks I've made in the last three or four months but that doesn't matter to me anyway. What matters to me is being able to use the sewing skills I have to protect as many people as I possibly can. I still write in my spare time at work though and then update what I hand-write into the document on my computer so no worries there. The real problem lay in the fact that my old laptop completely crapped out on me a few weeks ago to the point that I can't get my documents, my pictures, my videos, about seven years' worth of personal files off of it to transfer to the new laptop I received on Monday, that I'm still getting used to. Luckily for me, I have a friend who can manually pull the files directly from the hard drive so I haven't lost everything entirely. Until he does, however, I have nothing. So that's what's been going on in my life lately to cause such a long delay in chapters. I am sorry for that and I hope you continue to have patience with me.

In the meantime, please, stay safe, stay healthy, and as my beloved Governor always says, "We will get through this, and we will get through this together".
