Taking a deep breath Arya Stark stopped in front of the closed door in front of her. Slowly she brought her hand up and knocked. She could hear the occupant of the room moving towards the door and she braced herself as the door opened. "Arya?" Gendry Baratheon looked around the hall, "What are you doing here?" he questioned. Clearing her throat Arya asked, "Can I come in?" Furrowing his brow he glanced around the darkened hall, "It's late and not proper for you," he started to tell her before she scoffed, rolling her eyes, and pushed past him into the room, "obviously I forgot who I was talking to," he muttered as he closed the door.

Striding to the fire place Arya stopped and turned towards her childhood friend who hadn't moved from the closed door, "I'm leaving tomorrow. After we send Jon off," she blurted. Nodding Gendry moved slowly away from the door walking towards a small table with two chairs, "I figured you would go back to Winterfell," he responded gesturing towards the other chair as he sat. Shaking her head Arya was to nervous to sit, "I'm not going back to Winterfell. I have something I must do before I no longer can," she told him.

"And you had to come here in the middle of the night to tell me that? Arya I'm not sure what you're trying to tell me," he glanced up at her as he poured himself some wine. Taking a deep breath Arya walked to the table and sat across from him, "I'm doing an awful job at this. I was in Bravos when I got the scars on my stomach. I met a woman there who helped me. She put me back together and I owe her my life because of it. She died for helping me and before she did I told her that I've always wanted to see what was west of Westeros. So I have to go. I need to see for myself and for Lady Crane," she explained. Nodding Gendry took a swallow of wine, "So you're going to explore. Sounds about right for you. How long will you be gone?", he asked placing the cup down.

Arya reached across and grabbed his hand, "That depends on you," she told him shakily, "When I was stabbed she took aim particularly at my stomach. Lady Crane wasn't sure if," she paused gathering her courage, "if I'd ever have children. I remember something that I overheard my father say once of Robert that his seed is strong and apparently so is yours," she told him quietly. Blinking Gendry stared at her wide eyed before glancing at her flat stomach, "Are you…..are you sure?" he whispered. Nodding Arya squeezed his hand, "I can't be what you want me to be, but I can give you a family."

Standing Gendry pulled her up, "That's all I wanted Arya. I would never ask you to be any different then who you are. I should've never turned my back on you years ago. You asked me to be your family then and I knew I couldn't. We would've found your mother and brother and they would have separated us anyway. I was trying to do the right thing. And now being Lord of Storms End I'm able to be your family the way I couldn't before. But it's just a title nothing more. You can do whatever you so choose. Teach people to use the weapons that I make," he pleaded. Staring up at him Arya reached up kissing him deeply before pulling back, "Ask me again," she whispered.
