Set in Season 8. I only own the story. This show and it's characters all belong to Dick Wolf. Let me know if you enjoyed reading this short story. :)

It was raining outside, a miserable day. Olivia was sat in Elliot's car, facing the window, the back of her jawline resting in the palm of her hand to support her head. She sat in the car and waited for Elliot to return with their coffees so while he was gone, Olivia only had her thoughts for company. She hated the rain, it made her feel rubbish and because she already didn't feel like herself today the weather made her feel worse.

Olivia watched the rain trickle down the window when the driver's side door opened, the car rocking slightly as Elliot sat in his seat. He held a cup holder that displayed two coffees. ''Man, is it hectic out there.'' Elliot shook off the cold feeling of the rain. He took a quick glance at Olivia. ''I got your coffee, Olivia.'' He took one of the cups and placed it in the cup holder next to the handbrake. Olivia stared out the window. ''Thanks, El.'' She sighed. Elliot looked at her, concerned. ''You okay?''

''Mm.'' Olivia nodded. ''I'm fine, Elliot. Just having an off day that's all so ignore me.'' She exhaled softly, still staring out the window, watching the downpour which had increased. Elliot half smiled, his voice tender. ''I'm here if you want to talk, Liv. I'll always listen to what you have to say. You know, that don't you?''

''I do.'' Olivia turned around to look at Elliot, giving him a small smile. ''Thanks, El.'' She said quietly. Elliot returned the smile. ''Don't mention it.'' He and Olivia exchanged looks before Elliot turned his attention back to his coffee, taking a sip. He placed his cup next to Olivia's. ''Elliot?'' She called out, her voice gentle. He looked back at her. ''Yeah, Liv?''

Olivia rubbed her neck nervously, becoming shy all of a sudden. ''I'm gonna sound mad asking this but can I... Can I have a hug?''

Olivia knew she was crazy asking but to her utmost surprise Elliot simply flash that handsome grin of his before reaching out an arm to wrap around her shoulders. He pulled her to him and Olivia laid her head on his muscular shoulder. Elliot gently rested his chin on top of her head, his grin never leaving his face and gave her a soft squeeze. Olivia closed her eyes, exhaling softly and enjoying his loving embrace. Elliot felt her relax instantly. He moved a little, just enough to catch a glimpse of her face. ''Feel, better?'' He asked as Olivia nodded her head. ''Thank you.''

Elliot smirked. ''There's no need for you to go all shy on me, Liv. I don't have a problem giving you a hug.'' His lightly kissed her forehead. ''Remember, sweetie.''

Olivia smiled. ''Thank you, Elliot.'' She whispered. He brushed an errant hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear. ''You welcome.''
