"You never once asked why I am not jealous of you." Mei finally spoke.

Harumin shrugged. "You know that although I do love Yuzu; I would never dream of trying to steal

away her love for you. You know that my love for her will soon turn into a pure friendship love."

"That and the moment that I saw her turn to face you for the first time; I knew that she knew that you were a true and honest friend to her. That no matter what you would never ever leave her." Mei finished. "I was right." She sighed as she leaned against the wall. "I wish she would have fallen for you Harumi; she wouldn't know the shame that she does with me." She finished in a whisper so low that the other girl wouldn't have been able to hear; expect when it comes to protecting Yuzu these two young women were like mind and soul.

Harumi remained silent knowing that the other girl wasn't finished.

"You never would have denied your love for her the way I have. You never would string her along thinking that you honesty actually have a future together. That at the end of the day you wouldn't choose to marry someone your family picked for you …. hiding it from her. Not trusting her enough to be strong enough to understand your need to keep on the path that you have walked since your birth." Mei finished as her eyes lowered to where her hands were in her lap. Her right hand playing with the phantom ring on her left ring finger.

"She has always known." Harumi voice spoke in the still silence of the room. "She understands. She's …."

Mei looked up quickly. "Don't." She whispered.

Heat rose in Harmin's cheeks. "Don't what?!" She demanded deep anger in her eyes. "Don't tell you that Yuzu loves; and trusts you enough to let you go. To allow you to destroy her heart as you agreed to marry someone else! To trust you enough to know that you will come to terms of your ever lasting love for her; and you chose her instead of following your families path for you!" Her arms crossed tightly across her chest.

"Perhaps I was wrong not to be jealous of you." Mei got out from the very painful way her heart was beating against her chest.
