I was practicing some basic sword play maneuvers. I disarmed my opponent, again.

"Keep your chin up so you can see." I said without thinking.

that following night at dinner Chiron announced, "Tomorrow capture the flag will be at 7 sharp. Ares against Hermes ."

That caused some whispering, mostly trash talk and bets. I would try to convince my cabin to play and I might be able to do it if we get the better shower time.

"So Piper we should join in on capture the flag." I threw our casually.

"Why don't you go see if we can get extra dessert?"

That was all I needed I ran, and talked to both teams.

Ares kids said they would give us the first shower,but Hermes kids said extra dessert for a week.

We joined with Hermes, nope. They choose a shower over extra dessert for a week!

The night the game came on was normal. Then after dinner it started.

" Aphrodite cabin, you're on boarder patrol. " yelled some Ares kid.

Our cabin went to our place. Aphrodite kids, like drew, can be savage for better shower times. A Hermes kid crashed through the lake he fell over and went asleep. Oh for it to make more sense some kid used charmspeak.

An Athena kid came and charged me.

"Aphrodite don't get distracted!" I yelled over my shoulder.

I fought long and hard, finally I disarmed him and knocked him out with my shield.

There were no more people coming, I charged.I took two Hermes kids, knocked them clean out.I came to the flag and his behind a rock.

There was only 3 guards and they had Apollo's kids, surely Apollo's kids were hiding in the trees. A group of Ares kids were outnumbering the guards and few arrows were hitting their mark. I took that moment to swoop in and I grabbed the flag and ran. I'm not much of a runner and I am no where near as fast as a Hermes kid, but with Ares covering me and the possibility of winning I ran faster than ever.

The creek was coming into sight, I tried to run faster. A Demeter know girl came up behind me. Wow I can run faster, Demeter kids are ruthless. Also never insult their cereal.

The dirt blew up under my feet, luckily that was the boost I needed to get to the other side. I literally flew over the boarder.

I won, Aphrodite's cabin won the flag!

I looked to the Demeter girl. She didn't look sad or regretful, but she smiled when she caught me looking art her and waved.

I think I remember her name, I believe it is Dianna. She is beautiful, her short blond hair whipping around in the wind, her innocent green eyes.
