He watched as the red blur floated from flower to flower. He knew about the other kwami and had met a few of them, but he had never seen one that was red. He watched with curiosity as the kwami got closer. At first, he thought it might have been a creature of some kind, but as it got closer, he could feel a power quite different than his own.
The kwami stopped suddenly and looked up at him. He could see her blue eyes and the large smile that formed on her face. It made his stomach turn over.
"Hi there!" she called as she floated directly towards him. He swore under his breath. Ever since he had come into being, he had simply wanted to be alone; scaring off any kwami or creature that had tried to talk to him. "What's your name?"
"I don't have one," he muttered.
"Oh, well, that's too bad. I'm Tikva Isabella!" The creature cried out with a quick spin in the air.
"That's a mouthful," he commented, wondering why she would choose such a complex name for herself.
"I can name you!" she said, ignoring his comment. "I'm the kwami of creation so I'm good at coming up with names."
"No thanks,"
"You're the kwami of desturction, right?"
He nodded, wishing she would go away.
"I'll name you Placido Giovanni." She declared with another spin. "Isn't it wonderful?"
"No. It isn't."
"But you need a name! What am I supposed to call you if you don't have a name."
"Plagg," he said after thinking on it for a moment. "You can call me Plagg. Now buzz off Tikki."
"Tikki," she said, tilting her head to the side. "You know, I actually kinda like that."
"Really?" he asked, a little shocked. No one ever liked what he did. Granted, he destroyed stuff and didn't hand out nicknames. "You really like it?"
"Yeah, it's simple. Tikki. I think I'll use that as my name from now on. Thank you, Plagg."
The red kwami smiled at him and Plagg couldn't help but smile himself.
"Do you want to sit with me for a while, Tikki?" he found himself asking. "I've been waiting for the volcano over there to erupt."
"It's going to erupt?" she asked, alarmed. "Isn't that a bad thing?"
"Technically, but its actually rather beautiful from a safe distance."
"Alright," she said and floated down next to him, taking a seat.
Plagg looked back out towards the silent mountain. He could feel the destructive power in it, waiting to come forth. When it finally did burst through, Tikki grabbed his hand sending a wave of warmth over him.
"It is beautiful!" she cried. "I didn't think it would be, but it is!"
Plagg laughed at her enjoyment. He didn't quite understand it, but Tikki seemed different than the rest of the living things. All he knew was that he rather enjoyed having her beside him, a feeling he had never quite experienced before.
