Please remember that all my stories are up for adoption, this one is really short. I don't own the seven deadly sins but if I did I would make Ban treat King like a younger brother.

Meliodas POV

"*Cough* *Cough* *Gasp* *Cough*". My team and I all sat downstairs in the tavern of the Bour Hat, quietly listening to our 'youngest' be sick upstairs.

"How the heck did this happen!? He was fine two days ago, now he's up there sounding like he's about to cough up a lung." Ban, our fox sin of Greed, growled as he fiddled with an empty mug.

"Indeed, he was exhibiting no signs of illness before. For this to suddenly afflict him in such a way leads me to believe that this is not a natural sickness." Gowther added without looking up from his book.

"You mean that someone is making King sick on purpose?" Meliodas said as he remembered that last time someone poisoned him. Poor Elizabeth had no idea what was happening and if he had been weaker, it would have killed him. Standing up from his chair, Meliodas began pacing the floor.

"While there is not much evidence of such, the signs all point to poisoning. Perhaps it would be in King's best interest to contact Merlin. She may have a solution." Gowther provided again.

While the sins discussed how they might reach Merlin without the help of King, who usually called her or brought her to them through his teleporting pet Oslow, Elizabeth made her way down the stairs. Noticing her step into the room with a basin of water, Diane got up to help her change the water.

"How's he doing." The snake sin asked, the others quieting down to better hear the princess answer.

"Well, sir King is having a rather hard time breathing. His fever has risen, and he's now in a state where he's either unconscious or hallucinating. I had to take away his chastiefol and place it in sir Meliodas' room for safekeeping. And I'm sorry sir Ban, but I needed to change his clothes, so I used one of your T-shirts to change him into. Other than that, its all I can do to help him without knowing what's wrong with him. Why don't we take him to a doctor? He needs better care than what I can provide for him." Elizabeth asked as she began refilling the basin she just cleaned with cold water again.

Sighing, Meliodas answered her question. "I know that the battle against the Holy Knights is over and our names cleared, but I don't want to risk a doctor hurting him even more like they did to me when we went for Ban. King may be magically powerful, but physically, hes lacking in pretty much everything, he won't survive as I did." The worried sin explained. Thinking the situation over, Meliodas goes to Gowther and Diane. "We need to figure out who poisoned him and how they did it. You two start doing some snooping around." Walking over to Elizabeth, he picked up Hawk and put the pig down next to the princess. "Hawk, you go with Elizabeth and try to sniff out some healing herbs to help King." Taking the freshwater bin, Meliodas began to walk up the stairs. "Ban," he called back down, "You'll help me watch over him, cook up something easy for him to eat and then come up.
