No. He saw it. His friend, died in his arms. Blood gushed out and it poured into his white armour. He told him to stay awake and don't fall asleep. His friend looked up and smiled at him. He told his friend it wasn't his fault.
"I should've known." He said. His friend looked up. "It's alright." He replied. He tried to cover the blood from his chest, and it failed. "I'm sorry buddy." He said, cracking. His friend looked at him the last time. "It's not your fault, it's mine."
He died.
He grieved for his death, not even thinking about anything else. A hand touched his shoulder. "Are you alright, Temple?" Asked a voice. Temple shrugged off the hand roughly. "I'm fine, Bucky." Temple hissed. It was silent. Not even Surge dared to say something. His sobbing died down, and his sorrow was replaced with anger. Anger because of what happened to his best friend. Anger because he realized those people were from Project Freelancer. He saw red.
A Month Later...
Temple became the leader of the Blues and Reds. After his discovery, he set off to search for them. He felt the need to pop them like pimples and murder them like justice is deserved. Although, when he found nothing, he went rogue. He broke everything and screamed in frustration. His team was scared. He stopped his commotion and tried to calm his nerves. "This shouldn't be it." He said. He turned around to face his team. There was Bucky, Loco, Surge, Cronut, Lorenzo and Gene. They didn't say anything. He knew they were scared. His eyes then twitched when he saw something. He looked at the object. It was a really big one, and it caught his attention. His team also saw what he was looking at. As Temple crouched, the machine hissed in a welcoming. It wasn't long for Temple to realize, it was a time machine. He grinned in a thought of going back in time and murdering the people of Proect Freelancer. Oh! How good that almost felt.
He found a switch and flipped it up. It was on now. He stood up and looked at the machine. It glowed and shimmered as it began beginning its process. As a portal was shown, he smirked. He turned around and saw his team. "Let's go." He barked. They all followed. Temple took a step inside, following the Blues and Reds. The portal closed and many Freelancers had their guns up against them. He smiled at the pawns.
"Who are you?" Said a aqua Freelancer. Temple smiled at knowing who she was.
"Someone you met." Temple replied, smugly.
The aqua Freelancer growled and threatened to kill Temple.
Temple laughed at her attempt to try to get him.
"Why are you laughing?" A pink solider asked.
"Don't answer him." She said.
"What are you doing here, and how did you get here?" She said.
Temple smirked. "Oh, I know my ways, Agent Carolina."
