Chapter 1: Along Came a Spider Part 1

"AAAAAAAHHH!" Norman Osborn yelled in terror, as the villainous fiend known as Vulture dropped the billionaire from his ironclad talons to fall out of the sky over New York City. Vulture had just captured Norman, and he was planning on getting his sweet revenge for his past betrayal.

"Enjoy your trip, Osborn!" Vulture yelled down to Norman, as the billionaire tumbled down to the Earth, pulled by gravity's unforgiving embrace!

As Norman fell towards the Earth, an unlikely savior cladded in a blue and red cloth suit was there to save his bacon! Spiderman swung through the air and caught Norman swiftly. The webslinger fired off a web and began leaving the scene with Norman in tow.

"Wow guys!" Spiderman quipped, as he secured his grip around Norman. "You play hot potato hardcore, I see!"

"What…is this?!" Spiderman heard Vulture yell behind him, as he glanced up to see Vulture darting downward towards him and Norman. Vulture's jetpack fired off with increasing speed, as Vulture shrieked out in anger, "These skies are mine now!"

Spiderman swung past the corner of the Daily Bugle and laughed to Norman, "You know, he may be right! I really just rent."

As Spiderman sloppy shifted Norman to his free arm to fire another web, Norman grunted in discomfort and growled, "What are you babbling about?! Put me down now! I demand it!"

Spiderman smacked his lips, as he shifted Norman once again, and Norman groaned in pain louder this time. As he shot a web from his free hand, Spiderman shot back at Norman, "Dude, you are the bossiest damsel in distress I've ever rescued!"

As Vulture began closing in on Spiderman's rear, Spiderman slung Norman on his back to get more balance while swinging, "Not to mention, you're really heavy! Not too attractive! And hey, you aren't even a red head!"

Norman and Vulture then asked in confusion, as Spiderman fired another web toward the Empire State Building, "Who are you?"

"Why, I'm your friendly neighborhood Spiderman, of course!"

Spiderman landed on the side of a building, sticking to it. Spiderman quickly shifted Norman on his back and quickly leapt off the surface, as Vulture rushed at him. Vulture slashed his wings where Spiderman and Norman were once sticking to, and his wings slashed through the building's concrete wall.

"Spiderman?" Vulture said with much confusion and surprise in his voice. As Vulture started after the red and blue hero, he yelled out him, "I thought you were a myth, made by Jameson to boost sales in his failing newspaper!"

"That was his myth-take! Am I right?" Spiderman mused to Norman who groaned in disgust. Spiderman then grumbled, "Everyone's a critic, I see."

As Spiderman tried to get some distance from Vulture, Norman yelled to him, "There is a police station two blocks down!"

"I know."

Spiderman fired a new web to swing from, and Norman yelled, "You need to get me there!"

"I know!" Spiderman grumbled to Norman, as he began swinging towards the police station.

"He's right behind us!" Norman yelled in fear, as he glanced over his shoulder at Vulture. Vulture was picking up speed behind the two, and he had a look of pure hatred in his eyes.

Spiderman's spider sense started ringing in his head, but he instinctively yelled back, "I kn-"

Before Spiderman could react, Vulture soared over Norman and webslinger using his wings to slash through Spiderman's webbing. Spiderman couldn't help but panic, as he felt gravity take its pull on him and Norman.

Both the webslinger and Norman began tumbling downward towards the Earth, as Vulture dived down at Norman with his jagged wings aimed down at Norman's chest.

Norman saw this and yelled out in terror again. But as Vulture neared his target, Spiderman fired his webbing in Vulture's face, causing the villain to gag in disgust. Spiderman glanced down and saw the ground quickly approaching!

"Sure hope this works!" Spiderman yelled to himself, as began firing webbing towards the ground to create a large web to catch himself and the two tumbling men.

However, much to Spiderman's surprise, a brilliant white light appeared in front of the Norman as he fell. The light then engulfed Norman Osborn completely! Spiderman shielded his eyes, as he and Vulture were also absorbed into the blazing white light!

In the High School of the Dead Universe

A white swirling portal opening in the sky directly in front of a large gated building that resembled a massive high school. Norman flew through the portal first, and he began tumbling towards the Earth once again. Spiderman followed closely behind Norman, with Vulture on the tail of the webslinger.

Spiderman's spider sense was ringing through his head ten times harder than it had ever before, and he felt like he was about to have a stroke. The wallcrawler only had seconds to piece together the situation before he would become street pizza in…wherever he was now.

Spiderman grabbed Norman as they approached the ground, as he glanced down at the gated school and saw a shambling man pushing against the gate of the school. On the other side of the gate, in front of the school, stood four adults. One was a busty woman with long red hair and glasses, one was an elderly man who seemed to be nervously holding a pole as if to use it for a weapon. The final two adults were both men in their primes, but while one seemed plain and average, the other seemed muscular and confident.

'That seems like the best place to land!' Spiderman thought to himself, while Vulture soared over him, also clearly disoriented by the sudden change of scenery.

Spiderman fired a web onto Vulture's back, as the winged supervillain began taking towards the sky to clear some distance between Spiderman to get his bearing. However, the weight of both Spiderman and Norman caught Vulture by surprise and pulled the villain from his ascent.

Spiderman and Norman sailed over the gate, as Vulture soared forward trying to shake the webslinger off of him. Spiderman saw this as the perfect opportunity to get Norman to safety, so as he and Norman glided over the gate, Spiderman yelled, "Heads up!"

Spiderman tossed Norman into the busty woman, and Norman's head went straight into the woman's chest. Norman accidently fell on top of the woman, as Spiderman soared pass the two.

Spiderman yelled back to Norman, as he was lifted up by Vulture gaining altitude, "Hahaha, wish that were me! Happy Tra-"

Spiderman was slammed through one of the high school's third floor windows, as Vulture jetted up into the air. Spiderman rolled forward into what appeared to be a nurse's office. First Spiderman hit a stretcher and then he slammed into a glass case that was filled with medicine, medical alcohol, and equipment used by a medical professional. Spiderman glanced down at himself, making sure none of the glass from the window had punctured his suit or skin, and he began to thank God for having enhanced durability.

Spiderman then rolled on his back, to see Vulture flying off towards a city that clearly was not New York City! Vulture's jetpack fired off, jetting him into the sky as he yelled back over his shoulder, "I will have my revenge on you, Spiderman! For I am the Vulture!"

Spiderman groaned in pain, trying to force out his final quip as he pushed himself up, "Yeah, Big Bird! You better run!" Spiderman got on a knee and groaned in pain once again, "For my first time fighting an actual supervillain…that could have gone worse."

Spiderman suddenly heard heavy breathing from someone in the room, and he lifted his head to see a woman with long blonde hair and an enormous bust! The woman was wearing a standard lab coat with a white button up shirt, and an expensive black leather skirt. Her name tag was Japanese, but for some reason, Spiderman could understand it.

"Sh…Shizuka?" Spiderman muttered aloud, reading the name tag on the woman's lab coat. "Shizuka Marikawa?"

Shizuka nodded at Spiderman, and then gave him a surprisingly soft smile, "That is me. And who are you?"

Spiderman pushed himself to his feet, and he dusted himself off. He then flexed, trying to look manly, "Well, I'm your friendly neighborhood Spiderman."

Shizuka waited in silence for a few seconds, and Spiderman blinked in shock and sighed, "I guess I need to fire my press agent. I'm New York City's newest superhero, and I'm here to-"

"New York City…" Shizuka said, in a very confused tone. This isn't New York City. This is Japan. And we don't have any superheroes here. And if we did, I don't think they'd be crashing through our windows. Sorry."

Spiderman frowned, and shook his head, "Japan?! How is that even possible? I was just fighting Vulture in New York City, when-"

A loud and feminine scream was then heard by both Shizuka and Spiderman, and the two ran to the window that Spiderman had just crashed into. Much to their surprise, they saw the busty woman yelling out in terror, as the muscular and confident man was being pulled against the gate. The man also seemed to be yelling in pain.

"That's Ms. Kyoko!" Shizuka said, as Spiderman focused on the muscular man also screaming in pain. The man's arm was being pulled outside the gate by the shambling man that Spiderman had noticed as soon as he was wisped in front of this high school. The shambling man appeared to be biting into the muscular man's arm, and his teeth seemed to be digging deep into his flesh.

"What…" Spiderman said, as he felt cold sweat begin to form under his mask. "What…the…"

"Get me out of here!" Norman yelled to Kyoko, as he stumbled away from the gate. Kyoko could not seem to move, as the muscular man pulled his arm away from the shambling man outside of the gate. However, as he ripped his arm free, a large chunk of flesh ripped from his arm, and blood begin gushing into the air around him.

"I said, help me!" Norman demanded to Kyoko, who began tearing up and turned to support Norman's weight under her. She began leading Norman towards the high school entrance, as the plain man rushed forward and pushed the shambling man away from the gate! However, the shambling man only stumbled back, grabbing hold of the plain man's hand and taking a bite out of his flesh as well!

"I have to get down there and stop this." Spiderman whispered to himself, but a part of him could not move. It was almost like he was stuck in place…filled with fear. He had not felt this way since…

The elderly man dropped his pole on the ground and ran over to the muscular mans' aid. He yelled to Kyoko and Norman, "Get Shizuka! Tell her we need her down here! And call an ambulance!"

As Kyoko and Norman neared the school entrance, she already had her phone out and had dialed for the police. However, she froze in place, as she listened to the message being played, and Norman was shocked by this.

"What are you doing?" Norman protested, but even he stopped as she glanced at him and shook her head.

"The message said…the lines are down. The call frequency is too dense right now. What is happening?" Kyoko said to Norman, who glanced up at Spiderman, who stood in the window, watching the horror unfold at the gate. Norman glanced behind himself and Kyoko, and then his eyes grew as wide as saucers.

Not only had the muscular man risen up, but he was now biting into the neck of the elderly man who was trying to help him. And the plain man was laying on the ground screaming in pain, lifting up his hand that only had three bloody fingers on it! The shambling man was no longer alone at the gate. Now there were at least half a dozen shambling people pushing against the gate now, waving their arms out towards the school.

"Get me inside! And to the teenager who appears to be in cosplay! Now!" Norman growled to Kyoto, who quickly helped him up the steps and into the entrance of the school.

Spiderman shook his head in terror, as Shizuka gulped and whimpered, "They…they're… undead. Like…"

"WHAT THE F***'S GOING ON?!" Spiderman yelled as the world began to fall apart around him.

Yep, that's it! That's the first chapter of Along Came a Spider. If you didn't catch on, this Spiderman is the teenage Spiderman from the animated series Spectacular Spiderman. Besides being 14, however, I aged him up to 16. Only because I wanted, and that's enough reason to. I got this idea when I was reading a couple of High School of the Dead crossover series on this website, and I wanted to commit to actually seeing one through.
