Lantis sat by the fountain. It was 'their' fountain. He could never forget the times where he and Hikaru would meet in this place. It was special for both of them. It was also the place where he had given Hikaru the pendant his mother had given him when he was still young.

It was his most prized possession. He was so fond of it, but he didn't realize Hikaru would replace the pendant he loved so much. He had grown to love Hikaru as well. It was his last words to her after she left.

Hikaru looked at the pendant she held in her hands. Lantis. She held it close to her lips, and kissed it. If Lantis missed her, she felt the same way about him. Lantis...

Lantis sighed. He looked at the crystal clear water of the fountain, and saw his reflection. Then he imagined the time when the Magic Knights had returned from defeating Debonair. It was the time when he had finally told Hikaru that he loved her. And the final time that he'd seen her.

Hikaru smiled. Lantis admitted that he loved her. She didn't expect that from him, but he really did say it. Fuu had Ferio, Umi had Clef, and she had Lantis. Even if they're all apart from the one they love, memories of Cephiro will always be in their hearts and minds forever.

Lantis never felt this way for a girl before. He thought of Hikaru as a little girl who wasn't even qualified to be a Magic Knight. But she proved him wrong. She was more of a Magic Knight than he could ever be, and she was chosen to be the Pillar after Emeraude. He didn't know Hikaru would go this far. Letting Hikaru go was the hardest thing for him, but she couldn't stay in Cephiro.

Hikaru held on the pendant so tight. It was the only thing that reminded her of Lantis. She walked towards the railings of the observatory deck. She had come to the place where she, Umi, and Fuu had met, and were transported to Cephiro. Hikaru looked up to the sky, wanting to see the image she and her friends have seen a year after they had returned from Cephiro. Out of nowhere, a bright light almost blinded Hikaru.
"This light---"

Lantis turned around, and walked towards the castle. Perhaps it was useless to keep on thinking of Hikaru. Even if he kept on thinking about the past and Hikaru, it won't bring Hikaru to him, or him to her. Just then, a he noticed a flash of light behind him. He turned to see what it was.
"Hikaru---"

"Lantis!" Hikaru exclaimed.
"Hikaru---how-?"
"I don't know either." Hikaru reached out to him.
Lantis walked towards her, as Hikaru landed at where he stood a while ago. Hikaru stepped forward, and hugged him tight. Lantis smiled as she did so.
"I love you." Hikaru murmured. She stepped back.
"I love you, too." Lantis said.
He bent down to kiss Hikaru, the woman he loved was standing right before him.
