Chapter 6 - The Arms Deal

The screen comes back as it shows a clock from one of the buildings. The camera then moves up as it shows some status hitting a bell on top of the building. Words lit up in red letters spelling 'Seasons Greetings' under the bell. The screen moves back as it shows a full view of the plaza.

The screen shows Batman on top of one of the gargoyles status.

Batman: Penguin. Not a dime changes hands in this city he can't tell you about. If anyone knows where Black Mask and his assassins are, it's him. But Penguin's hard to find. His men are doing a deal here. I'll make them talk…

Batman stood up on top of the statue as the moon shines behind him and the wind blows his cape. He looks down and sees Penguin's goons making their deal.

"Okay I'll admit. That's pretty badass." Qrow said.

"He's just so cool. He could put fear in someone just by them seeing his shadow." Ruby said excitedly.

Loose Lips: Guys! So, little boys - what do you want for Christmas? Oh wait. I already know.

He snaps his finger as the goon next to him walks up and opens the case. Inside was a gun and some attachments to make it more than just an assault rifle. The criminals that they are trading will throw Loose Lips a briefcase. He caught it and began to open it.

Loose Lips: Now let's see if you've been naughty or… Nice.

Loose Lips laughs and gives a smug look as he gives them the weapons. The criminals start getting the weapons and assemble them.

"Agh! I hate those idiots that think that since they are in charge they could do anything they want." Roman said.

"Talking from experiences." Qrow said.

"You have no idea how annoying it can be at times, especially when they all talk about 'equality', it gets annoying after awhile." Roman said,

"Oh believe me, I think I know. Working with other Huntsmens can get to you, which is why I like working alone." Qrow said as he took a drink.

"Me too, everything works fine when alone." Roman said.

"Are you and Torchwick going to be best friends now?" Ruby asked as she looked worried at her Uncle.

Both looked at each other. They aren't at each other's throats, they seem to get along with each other very well, even pulling jabs on each other for laughs. Both looked back to Ruby.

"Maybe." Both Huntsman and Thief said in unison. Ruby groans as her uncle is being friendly with her arch-enemy. Even if he is on their side at the moment.

Batman: Punk in the Santa Hat must be in charge.

Criminal: Where's the rest of 'em?

Loose Lips: Easy, tiger. When you deal with us, you're dealing with the Penguin. This ain't some fly-by-night operation.

Criminal: Cut the crap? Where's the rest of 'em?

"Why wouldn't they bring out the rest? That would be a horrible deal, this is what leads to gun-fights." Jaune said.

"It's called being greedy. They would only give what they want at their price. If you want more, they would have to pay up some Lien." Roman said.

"Have you done any deals like that."

"*scoffs* I've done deals before you were even born, Red. I know how it all works. Even won some fights when deals would go south." Roman said as he gave Ruby a grin.

"But you didn't stop the deal with Cinder." Ruby said. Roman grin was wiped off his face.

"That's different. I was on a leash. She was going to kill Neo, and I didn't want anything to happen to her. Then she was going to kill me. It wasn't exactly a deal I could say no too, Red. Besides if I knew more of their plan, I would've done everything to get out. Even to the point where I would fake my own death to hide." Roman said.

Again Ruby was surprised at how friendly and open Roman was. Why wasn't he like this before? Cinder probably scared him to the point he would follow, even if he didn't know what was happening.

Batman drops down and lands on one of them into the ground, knocking them unconscious. He moves forward and grabs one before slamming him into the ground.

Criminal: It's the Bats, get him.

"Oh!" Almost everyone flinched at the sudden drop, having someone fall on you with full force would hurt, even with aura.

"You know that hurt." Jaune said.

"I bet. The guy's back is completely broken." Mercury said.

Batman looks up, two down. Six to go. One of the criminals runs up with a pipe. Batman elbows him in the face. He then grabs the guy before throwing him into another. Two more runs up one with a bat and the other with a knife. Batman ducks under the bat, he reaches for the bat and breaks it over the guys head. He turns around and throws a batarang towards the thug's hand. Making him drop the knife.

Batman runs up and knees him in the face, the man falls to the ground. He quickly turns and with a swift motion, towards more batarangs. They all stagger back as Batman rushes all of them.

He jumps up and punches one across the face. Batman then jumps over another and punches him with fast, very precision hits and kicks him to the ground. He runs to another and sweeps his leg under them. Batman jumps up and slams both of his arms into the down thug.

Batman turns over and sees Loose Lips and another thug. Loose Lips turns and tries to run. Batman quickly reaches and shoots his Batclaw. It grabs onto Loose Lips leg and Batman pulls him towards him. The last comes up from behind.

Batman counters him and throws him over his shoulders before punching him in the face. The last criminal falls unconscious under his fist. Batman looks down and sees Loose Lips under his boot.

Loose Lips: OK. OK. I give up!

Again everyone was amazed at how well Bruce takes out criminals. And without weapons to top it off.

"Man, he sure knows how to be brutal. I wonder how many are mental broken after that." Qrow said.

"I get that they are criminals, but that is too much. Not to mention there's no aura so Bruce literally could kill them by accident." Summer said. She fought almost everything. With Grimm she could go full force and it would be fine. With people, she would rather not hurt them too much, unless it was some rouge hunter, then she would have to.

"I think you are worrying too much. I mean, yeah, it's crazy at how he takes them out, but they would kill him and I don't think these guys care too much about innocents." Jaune said. He understands why Bruce does what he does, if he doesn't who would.

"I think it's more of a wake up call. If they don't stop being criminals and change their ways, then they would have to face Batman all the time and more than just bones would be broken." Ren added.

Batman walks up, grabs him and pulls him up. Loose Lips struggles a bit before Batman turns around and throws him towards his chair, he was seating in earlier. Loose Lips looks and sees Batman running up to him.

Loose Lips: Get away. NO… NO!

Batman kicks him, causing him to break the chair and the christmas decoration. Batman jumps up. Loose Lips opens his eyes and sees Batman coming down from above.

Batman grabs him by his throat and holds him up and starts interrogating. Loose Lips started having a difficult time breathing as he was choking and was gasping for air.

"How is he supposed to get information, if he is choking him?" Winter said.

Roman puts his hand up to his throat and imagines that it was him. "I'm so glad he isn't real." He said in a whisper.

Batman: Where is The Penguin?

Loose Lips: I don't know…

Loose Lips started choking some more. He tries to put off Batman's hand. Only for him to be held up higher.

"He's going to pass out or die, if he doesn't let loose." Summer said.

"Bruce, stop." Ruby said more in a whisper. She knows he needs to find Penguin, but he's going to kill him or something if he doesn't stop.

Batman: Where is he?

Loose Lips: I swear.

Loose Lips fell unconscious as he ran out of oxygen to breathe.

Batman: Damn!

The screen then slowly fades to black.

"Aw, shit did he kill him." Qrow said.

"No he is just unconscious, their oxygen level went down to low and which caused him to fall unconscious. He's perfectly fine. Well, if his alcohol level wasn't too high as well as drug usage, he's fine none of the less. " Penny said.

"Thank you Penny for informing us." Ironwood said.

"No problem sir." Penny said with a salute.

"She still freaks me out." Roman said as he whispered to Neo. Neo nods and agrees with Roman all the way, That girl is really weird.

Batman: Wake up.

Loose Lips eyes shoot open and see that he is at the top of a tall building.

Loose Lips: What… what happened?

He slowly moves his head to see the Batman holding him, by the leg, over the ledge of the building. He lets out a scream of fear. The screen then shows the view and how high they actually are. Loose Lip was still screaming out of complete horror.

Everyone had different reactions when Bruce had the criminal over the ledge. Some had to cover their mouth in shock as others just stared at the screen. How is this going to help?

"Is he crazy, why would he do that?!" Weiss shouted.

"So many things could go wrong and he wouldn't get info at all." Winter said.

"Well, considering he's a man in a bat suit that goes around fighting other mental unstable people. I don't he is all there in the head." Mercury said

Batman: Time to talk. Where's Cobblepot?

Loose Lips: Let me go!

Batman: If you insist…

"WAIT BRUCE DON'T!" Almost everyone shouted.

Batman then lets the man's leg go. Causing him to fall only for his foot to be tied to a rope. Which causes him to hit the clock on the building. Batman then grabs the rope and pulls Loose Lips back up.

"Oh thank the gods there was a rope tied around his leg." Ruby said as she let out a sigh of relief.

"That was too close for comfort." Summer said.

"I think I understand why people fear him. That takes some balls to pull something like that. He really does know how to use fear to his advantage." Mercury said. He wonders if he could do that. Cinder does it all the time, so why can't he.

"I will admit. Mr. Wayne knows how to get everyone jumpy. His tactics are questionable, but they work nevertheless." Ozpin said.

"Hmm, fear tactics do work at times. It is what puts and keeps people in place." Ironwood said.

"Just so you know, I do this all the time with my followers." Salem added.

"Yes, she does." Everyone that works with Salem said.

Loose Lips: Please… Stop, stop, I'll talk, I'll tell you anything you want to know! Please!

Batman ignores him as he looks on a phone he got off the criminal. It shows the next location Penguin would be at. Getting what he needed, he has no use for the criminal in his hand.

Batman: Too late. I already have what I need.

"Uh oh." Ruby said,

"Welp, guess that guy is going to get killed somehow." Yang said.

Batman lets him go as Loose Lips screams out in terror as he falls. He hits the big christmas tree out in front causing him to fall to the ground, alive.

Loose Lips: You're crazy! You're friggin' crazy!

"Hey, at least he's still alive. Mentally scarred, but alive." Mercury said.

"That still doesn't make it right to drop someone over a building." Blake said.

"Hey, it's either you survive or don't. I think it works both ways." Roman said.

"I'm sure the man wasn't in danger at all. Mr. Wayne had everything under control." Ozpin said.

"Only you would think that you crazy old man." Raven said.

"Still, dropping someone over the edge of the building isn't helping the situation in the slightless." Glynda said.

Batman: If I can read this SIM card. I may be able to locate Penguin.

Batman takes the card out of the phone and puts it in his Sequencer. He tried to get a signal but everything was being blocked off.

Batman: Alfred, I am getting interference on my com systems. Is that on your side?

Alfred: No, sir. I'm seeing it as well. It's from the nearby GCR tower. It's the same signal jamming the Batwing's auto-nav systems. I've highlighted the tower on your map.

Batman: I'll need to stop that signal before I can track down the Penguin.

"Great, I guess we are going to get more of the Riddler." Yang said.

"I kinda like his character. I guess it's more that he takes a different approach, than others.." Blake said.

"You mean he's a hacker that gets into people's information and tries to sell it off or to black mail someone." Yang said back.

"Well, that is one thing. The other being his riddles and him wanting to fight someone with some brain and strategic planning, then just killing someone." Blake said.

"He's more civil than most of the criminals so far." Weiss said.

Batman pushes a few things on his gauntlet as the screen shows the area. Batman uses it to see where he needs to go. The GCR tower isn't that far off. Just a block down the street. Closing the map Batman turns and jumps down. He opens up his cape and starts gliding over the city.

Batman dives bomb and opens up his cape again. Which made him glide back up. He did it a few more times as he reached the tower. He grabs onto the ledge of the building as he sees some criminals on top.

"Oh, I wonder if I could do some with my cloak. You know so it could glide like that. Aw, I'll be so cool." Ruby said.

"Ruby that would be stupid and dangeous, count me in." Yang said.

"Should we be worried?" Tai said as he whispered to Summer.

"I'm sure it would be fine, hon." Summer said. In fact she kinda wants to see the same thing. Although maybe with someone like Qrow doing it, now that would be hilarious. She got him to wear a skirt, she most definitely could get him to do something like that.

"Ruby, we don't even know how his cape could do that in the first place." Weiss said.

"I'm sure it's easy. Maybe with some gravily dust, it would actually help." Ruby said.

"If we are doing this. I'm going to test it on you." Weiss said.

"Maybe I could be of assistance, I'd rather not see friend Ruby get hurt in such an experiment." Penny said.

"Sure, Penny, that would be very helpful." Weiss said.

Criminal: I'm just happy to have work right now.

Criminal: But don't you think it's weird? We've never seen this guy or heard his voice? Nothin' but texts from an unlisted number.

Criminal: Whaddo I care - long as the money shows up in my bank account.

Criminal: That's the crazy part - did you ever give him your bank account number? I sure as hell didn't. So how is he wiring us our money?

Criminal: You know what your problem is? You gotta stop looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Criminal: Just being smart. You think it's a coincidence we get this job the same time Black Mask puts a bounty on the Bat's head? I don't wanna be mixed up in that. No way, no how.

Criminal: That whole thing's gonna blow over. Soon as Black Mask realizes the bat's a myth, things'll go back to normal.

Criminal: Hope you're right. And if that means we're out a job, so be it.

"Didn't think criminals would be so worked up over something as getting free Lien." Jaune said.

"Hey, we may be bad at times. But we need to have a home, eat, and have some sort of income. Not everything is free you know and not everyone could get the luxury of being a huntsmen." Mercury said.

"You could have become one you know. You have skills that would help in the long run." Pyrrha said. He may have been with Cinder, but he could have become a huntsmen.

"I was trained to be an assassin, a killer. Not someone with honor or whatever. And I kinda have bad experiences with Huntsmen and Huntress. Didn't want to deal with anything, like classes and stuff, just wasn't my thing." Mercury said.

"I hope this shows you brats that everything we do is for a reason. Not all of us are bad or 'evil', some of us just want to watch the world burn." Roman said. As he said the last part he glared at Cinder.

Cinder rolled her eyes. "Yes, I suppose you are right about that and you would be the first one I'll burn, Roman." She said as her eyes glow dangerously.

"Bitch." Roman said under his breath.

Once they were done talking. Batman jumps over and grabs both criminals and then throws them over the edge. They scream only to stop as a rope holds them up by their legs.

Criminal: Shoot. It's the Bats.

Batman quickly jumps up and throws three Batarang hitting all three thugs. Batman then grabs and shoots his Batclaw. It grabs onto one, he pulls on it. The Batclaw pulls the thug towards Batman. He throws his fist which hits the criminal in the face.

"Oh, ok. You know, those gadgets of his come in handy. He doesn't even have to get close, and he could just pull them in." Sun said.

"It would be so fun. I wonder what other things he would use." Ruby said.

"Well, we are watching the whole thing. I'm sure we would see even more crazy things." Blake said.

Batman then tackles the other two and sends them into the ground. He grabs both of their heads and slams them into the hard ground. Batman stands up and looks at the GCR Tower. Only to hear Enigma's voice coming through his radio.

Enigma: Well look who just showed up! Have you really decided to try and take me on? Get to it. Then I'm looking forward to watching you fall.

"He just sounds annoying." Yang said.

"I think the Riddler might have been bullied when he was a kid." Blake added.

"For being a smartass or for being a loser, who lives in his basement." Roman asked.

"Both." Yang and Blake said in unison.

Batman ignores him and pulls out a batarang. Though this one was different from his regular batarang that he uses. It was the same but slightly bigger. A single blue light flashes in the middle as Batman then throws it.

The screen changes as it shows the Batarang POV. It started moving unnatural as someone was controlling it. The batarang went through the opening on top. It went through electrically as it went straight to the power box.

"Wait what was that." Some said. It was a cool thing to watch. A little different but amazing.

"I think that was being controlled. It just showed us the view of it" Ironwood said.

"He could remote control a batarang. That's just cheap. He's a billionaire playboy with his fancy toys." Mercury said.

"Hey if you have the money. Why not spend it on such things. Definitely stops the boredom that's for sure." Qrow said.

Enigma: Typical, I mean, why apply cognitive resources to a problem when you can just throw crap at it!

"See, even the Riddler agrees. It's just bullshit, hacks that's what it is." Mercury said.

"Well we are watching a game. So it's probably just something in the game." Jaune said.

"Oh, yeah I completely forgot this is a game." Ruby said.

"I can't believe this IS from a game. They must have amazing games if this one looks like a freaking movie." Yang said.

"I still refuse to believe video games could be a form of art." Weiss said.

"You're just jealous because we beat you in almost every game." Yang said.

"Silence, you." Weiss said as she pointed at Yang.

Batman walks up and opens the gate. He goes up to the metal door and breaks the lock to hack the tower panel

Enigma: You know, if you'd asked nicely, I'd have opened It for you.

Batman gets out his Sequencer, he turns the nobes to get the pass code and hacked the Tower. Enigma hacks the Sequencer and appears on the screen.

Enigma: Congratulations are in order! Maybe you're not as stupid as I've been led to believe.

Batman: Why are you doing this, Enigma?

"That is a good question. He doesn't need Lien considering he could just hack the system. There has to be a much bigger reason as to why he is doing this?" Winter said.

"Maybe Black Mask made a deal for him and he couldn't just say no. It's either that or he was threatened. One way or another I doubt we would get an answer." Roman said.

Enigma: Direct! I like it. So I'll tell you. Gotham is sullied. It's filled with brutes who control this city through violence and intimidation.

"Isn't that how most people have control over a city like Gotham." Weiss said.

"Yes, that is how it is most of the time. Kinda hard to make a name for yourself when people would try to kill you in every part of the Kingdom." Roman said.

Batman: You didn't answer my question.

Enigma: Because you didn't let me finish! I want to get rid of them, Batman. To improve Gotham's intellectual and moral standing. But I'm not a thug like you. My approach is a bit more refined.

"He- he wants to help get rid of the corruption?" Ruby said with a confused look.

"That is an admirable goal. Although the way he would do it would destroy the government, democracy and economy structure that is in place." Ozpin said.

"And it goes with what I like about his character. He doesn't like a direct approach and would most likely use technology to his advantage. He would do a few things and before you know it people would start killing each other and he could just sit back and watch it all happen without lifting a finger." Blake said.

Just from that it shows how dangerous someone can truly be just behind a desk and camera.

"For this moment I agree with the faunus girl. He is definitely a master at hacking and technology. I tend to be satisfied with myself when it comes to this sort of thing." Watts said. He could get behind this idea of destroying an entire structure in place by just letting a few things out in the public eye.

Batman: What you're doing is no different than stealing. There's nothing refined about it.

"That is also true." Ozpin said.

"Stealing information off someone can be useful, but at the same time it's not worth it. Better things to steal." Roman said.

"After we go back. Your thief days would be over Torchwick." Ironwood said.

"Is it too late just to say whatever and be free." Roman said.

"After you tell us everything you know." Ironwood said.

"Fine, fine. Whatever keeps me free." Roman said.

Enigma: Your response IS as predictable as it is banal. Goodbye.

Enigma cuts the signal. After disabling the jamming signal, Batman proceeds to study the SIM card, taken from the arms dealer.

Batman: Now I can access the SIM card I took from that arms dealer and hack Penguin's communications.

Batman pulls out the Sequencer, again. This time instead of finding the pass code. He had to find the signal of where the SIM card messages came from. He moved the nobes around to pinpoint the signal location. He finds the location as the Sequencer picks up their signal and voice comes through the radio.

"That Sequencer device is very useful. It could help with finding hidden bases." Winter said.

"Fuck." Adam said. If any White Fang members are still around, they would have to find another way to stay out of Atlas sight.

"I just think Batman has way too many gadgets that are completely broken, no matter which you look at it he has something for a situation." Mercury said.

"I don't think he would have something for every problem, but I see what you mean. It just makes sense if he has some of these things on him." Jaune said.

Wait until you see all of the stuff Bruce has. You would think he is paranoid with all of his gadgets in the Batcave. Onyx said.

Criminal: The Penguin's pretty pissed off about the deal going 800th.

Criminal: Yeah - if I was involved in that. I'd be on my way out of the city.

Batman: Alfred - I'm reading a signal from Penguin's men but it's not associated with any known wireless frequency.

Alfred: Ah yes. I see it here. Looks like Penguin runs his own private wireless network using laptop transmitters serving as ad hoc com stations. He's feeding his men frequencies via two-way radio. There are two of these com stations near your position.

Batman: Good. Mark them on my map. If l can find and hack those walkie-talkies I can triangulate Penguin's position.

"Hmm. Yes, the White Fang would do something similar." Sienna said.

"I wouldn't be surprised actually. If you didn't I would think your organization would have fallen a long time ago." Ironwood said.

"I'm just more surprised you've hadn't done anything sooner. Adam killed him." Sienna said.

And Blake and Yang killed him. Very disappointed how that turned out. Was hoping for a redemption arc. Even before he killed you. Onyx said.

Adam looked up at Onyx. "You must be crazy if you think I would have a redemption of any sort. Even, I know I was far out of line already." He looked at their host.

"For once I agree with, burnt face. He was a fucking psycopath." Roman said.

Hmm perhaps, but I've seen people who've done worse things than just killing people against them and yet, they have redemptions. Some of these people would be considered 'monsters' or 'evil', but they are just misunderstood. Onyx said.

"You see something in him." Blake said. She saw something but she was wrong and there was nothing she could do about it.

I do. He has potential, just needs someone to show him the right direction. Onyx said.

"I did and it didn't work." Blake said.

To you, yes. But you are the reason why Adam does what he does. You were the one thing holding him down. You leaving was the breaking point. Onyx said.

Blake stops as her eyes widen. She was the thing keeping Adam sane. But.. that means if she stayed. 'No, that can't be true. He was already lost.' Blake thought to herself.

Someone could have shown him the way to good, I've seen version of Adam joining Beacon and he ends up having friends with one team. Onyx said as he looked at Team RWBY.

"No, I refuse to believe I joined that school, especially with a Schnee." Adam said.

What if I told you about you falling in love with said Schnee. Onyx said with a devilish smirk.

"WHAT?!" Almost everyone shouted.

You could denial it. Doesn't mean it didn't already happen. And both of you love each other to the point you would die for one another. Onyx then showed them an image of Weiss and Adam by putting his arm up.

Still think I'm making this up. Onyx said with a grin.

Everyone was just in shock. Adam just wants to die and never wants to see that image ever again. "Please kill me." Adam said.

Nope! Let's get back to Batman. Onyx added.

Batman flies off the roof and goes to get the first SIM card location. He flew over a few buildings and used his grappler to accelerate his speed. Batman manges to glide the rest of the way there.

Criminal: I start my trainin' tomorrow. Gonna kick ass in next year's Boiler Deck.

Criminal: I already started lookin' into some self defense classes.

Criminal: Self defense? What's that all about?

Criminal: You know. Martial arts techniques on how to defend yourself from an attacker.

Criminal: Defend yourself? You just gonna stand there and defend yourself while the other guy walls on you? You won't last two rounds.

Criminal: You know what they say. The best offense is a good defense.

"You know since Batman is a Martial artist. That is a really good idea." Ruby said.

"Batman is the martial art. His offense is literally the definition of a good defense." Sun said.

Criminal: Oh yeah? Who said that? Your little league coach? This is bare knuckles brawling! You'll get knocked on yer ass if you can't strike. I swear. This is why we get guard duty in the middle of the storm of the century, 'cause you're such a dumbass.

"Yeah, who wants to spend years trying to learn techniques, when you get beat someone to a plup." Yang said.

"Yang, just so you know learning techniques are very useful. They could help you in a fight." Ren said.

"I don't need techniques, I'm just as good." Yang said.

"Say that to your severed arm." Ruby said. Ruby eyes widen. "Yang I'm so sorry I didn't mean." Ruby was cut off as Yang hugged her.

"I'm so proud of you." Yang said as fake tears fell down her face.

Adam could only give a look of confusion as he was the one to cut off her arm. "What the hell is wrong with these people."

"I've been actually myself since they started attacking me." Roman said.

Batman jumps down and kicks the guy over the head which sends him flying out cold.

"So much for training in martial arts." Tai said.

"Well, Batman knows over one hundred fighting styles, so it wasn't fair in the slightless." Ghira said.

Criminal: Shit! It's the Bats!

Criminal: Where the hell did he come from?!

Criminal: Shut up and kill him!

Batman looks around and sees how many there are around him. Five, easy enough. One comes up and tries to punch him. Batman ducks and grabs the thug arm before drop kicking him. He then reaches over and punches him in the face.

Batman jumps up and punches another one in the gut. He then uppercuts him before kicking him across the face. Batman turns around and kicks one onto the floor. He walks up and breaks the criminal's leg, he then kneeled him.

The last two run up and attack together. Batman blocks both attacks before punching one in the stomach and throwing the other one into the ground. He kicked one unconscious. He jumps up and lands on the last one.

"And once again. Batman wins. You know I think you might be on something." Summer said.

"I'm telling you. He is deadly and insane at fighting. He's just a broken character." Mercury said.

"I think you're jealous because he has better skills." Yang said.

"Fuck you, Blondie." Mercury said just as Yang turned around and punched him on his leg.

"Fuck my leg." Mercury cried out.

"Oh shit. Did I actually break your leg this time." Yang said.

"Just messing with you. I actually don't have some." Mercury said as he hit his leg. A metallic sound was heard.

"You have prosthetic legs." Yang said with shock.

"Oh, can I see them." Ruby said with excitement.

"Uh, sure. Don't know why you want to. They really aren't anything special." Mercury said.

"You clearly don't understand Ruby. If she sees some prosthetic or is a weapon. She would do anything to see them. She might even want to do maintenance on them, take them apart and put them back together again." Yang said.

"You do that." Mercury said.

"Yep. You won't mind would you." The look in Ruby eyes actually scares him. He looked over at Ruby's friends. And sees them giving him pity looks. Oh that can't be good.

"Uhh. Sure." Mercury said.

"Yeah. It might actually feel different after working on them." Ruby said with this bright glee on her face. What did he just agree to?

Batman stood up and looked at his work. He walks up to the laptop and gets the SIM card. He gets his Sequencer and finds the next signal location. He picks up and hears Penguin on the radio.

Penguin: …the Bat Man? You expect me to believe that? Listen - I happen to know that the Bat Man's got way more important things to do tonight than mess with our shipment.

"Wait until he gets his surprise." Roman said.

"He's doing a shipment. Wonder what that's about. Sounds familiar Roman." Blake said.

"Very funny. Kit-Kat." Roman said.

Batman: I need to find the next com-station. Then I'll be able to triangulate Penguin's position.

Batman starts going for the second SIM card location. He was listening to the hacked communications along the way.

Criminal: Mr. Cobblepot. I swear it was the Bat. He dropped Ricky off the roof of the clock tower straight into the Christmas tree.

Penguin: I don't care what you think you saw. If you're not back 'ere with my money in the next ten minutes. I'll cut your damn eyeballs out. And then you won't have to worry about seeing nothin' ever again. Is that clear!?

Criminal: Yes, Mr. Cobblepot. I'm sorry, Mr. Cobblepot.

Roman, Cinder, Adam, Sienna all let out groans. That is the one thing about working with idiots all the time.

"I'm guessing you guys dealt with that on a daily basis."

"You have no idea."

"I believe we all could agree that some people are completely idiots." Ironwood said. Everyone of the older generation nodded their heads.

"I'll drink that. Amen." Qrow said.

"We're not in church. Are you drunk already Qrow." Summer said as she giggled at her teammate.

"Maybe." Qrow said.

"Now, I want what he is having." Roman said.

Batman made it to the next area he landed right on top of them and they didn't notice him. He notices that there are only three armed guards.

Criminal: Stand guard. It's some passive aggressive form of punishment.

Criminal: Reason we're out here is 'cause of all the assassins in town.

Criminal: Assassins? After Penguin?

Criminal: No they're after the Bat. Black Mask hired 'em. But Penguin's worried they might track him down or somethin' like that.

Criminal: Wait a second! Ain't he selling weapons to those guys?

Criminal: Some of 'em - the one's he ain't scared of. But the rest - he doesn't want 'em anywhere near him.

"You know I like how this shows that the criminals view everything going on."

"It just shows people doing a job they know nothing about and are going to get their ass handed to them by a man in a bat suit." Blake said.

"Well, I meant it shows how they are just regular people as the others are completely crazy." Ruby said.

"Look at us. I'm sure this would show you that. I'm not a crazy bastard unlike all of them on that side." Roman said as he pointed towards Cinder and Salem.

Batman drops down and lands on both of them knocking them unconscious. The other thug tries to run up and shoots. Batman quickly shoots his Batclaw and pulls the gun from his hand. The Criminal moved forward with the gun and was meant with a fist to the face.

Batman turns and gets the last SIM card from the laptop and is finally able to get Penguin's location. Batman gets his gauntlet and starts to triangulate Penguin's exact location. As Penguin explains the next job.

"Okay so let's see what the Penguin is planning." Ozpin said.

Penguin: All right everyone, listen up. I know I oughtta cancel our annual Boiler Deck fights after what happened tonight at Jezebel Plaza, but just to show you what nice guys I have. So get to the ship if you want in on this.

Batman: There you are. Onboard the Final Offer.

Batman: Penguin's been hiding out on an old ship. No wonder he's been so hard to find.

Batman looks up and shoots his grappler. He then begins his trip towards Penguin's ship. It wasn't that far off from where he was at. It wouldn't take that long. Batman was able to see the ship from his distance as well as a problem that would make things harder.

Batman: Penguin's got snipers out. I'll have to take the snipers down slienty to proceed.

Criminal: So, who's the outside challenger this year?

Criminal: Some guy… Buchinsky?

Criminal: Oh, yeah. I heard of him. Big guy with a big mouth. Calls himself… Electric…?

"Oh. It's that guy." Yang said.

"Okay, the first assassin. Do you think he could fight Batman?" Ruby said.

"He is a brute and uses gloves that are powered by electricity to win fights. I think we know who would win." Weiss said.

"So, a loss." Ruby said.

"No, you dolt. Bruce." Weiss said.

Batman made his way and silently glided to one of the towers on the ship. The sniper didn't notice him. He sneaked up and did a silent takedown. He flips the guy over and covers his mouth to make him fall unconscious. The other criminal kept talking as Batman moved to another sniper.

Criminal: That's right. Wait a sec, they ain't gonna let him use those gloves in the fight, are they?

Criminal: Hope not. That'd shift the odds.

Criminal: Yeah it would. I gotta call my bookie.

Batman gets behind the other sniper and flips him over his shoulder and punches his face out cold. He then jumps down and sneaks up behind two more. Batman drops kicks both before jumping on top and knocking both out cold. He looks and sees a few more armed guards and decides to ignore them.

He walks up to the door and goes inside the ship and sees if he could find the Penguin inside.

The screen then fades to black.

"Okay he's inside. I wonder how many people are inside." Qrow said.

"Hopefully Penguin has a lead on Black Mask." Winter said.

"That or he's going to go into hiding. Guess we are going to find out." Qrow said.

I'm sorry for the late update. Been real busy helping my girlfriend and for anybody wondering my brother is going to do another story. Don't know what it would be about. He wants to do another reaction. But have a completely redo on the whole thing. Don't when so you would have to wait for that.

That's all I have at the moment. Next chapter would be the Final Offer and the whole ship. And the following chapter would be the fight with Deathstroke.
