"Mandarin, give the command." Skeleton King ordered, watching the confrontation unfolding through his tv monster, who stood at the scene.

"Sakko, give the command." Mandarin directed as he turned to the small pink primate..

"Attttaaack!" Sakko yelled, as the formless minions began to charge forward.

Seeing the enemy beginning to advance towards them, the teen leader stood tall facing the opposition. His battle hardened demeanour giving away no weaknesses.

"Scatter!" The raven haired boy shouted his own orders, as his rainbow coloured monkeys soon darted in all directions.

Laying his bright cerulean eyes on the formless in front of him, Chiro grinned. Dodging to his left Chiro leapt onto the boulder wall that lined the edge of the road from the sandy beach.

Tempting the formless minions closer, Chiro vacated at the last second. Avoiding the formless' blades that threatened to slice him with skilled grace as he somersaulted backward; Landing onto the soft golden sand below.

Watching as the five formless followed quickly after him, Chiro cringed as they tried to copy his acrobatics with the skilled grace of a sinking brick.

Two formless minions self-destructed instantly upon their clumsy face first landings, black ooze staining the sand that earned a disgusted look from Chiro. "Landing needs work." Chiro shrugged.

The other three formless barely made it, scurrying back to their feet as they readied themselves to attack again.

"Oh boy, come on then formless." Chiro called as he backed up for space. Watching as the formless minions obediently followed the lure. Reaching the large pillars that held the main bridge and road up that his team were currently fighting on top of, Chiro turned.

Suddenly sprinting forward Chiro dived low, his foot sparking with electricity as he twisted and connected with the first formless' torso, feeling the dark creature explode on impact, Chiro moved to the next.

Forming a spear of crackling electricity in his hand he shaped it and took aim for the second formless' torso. Just as the attack hit its target Chiro suddenly slammed his left elbow back high and into the face of the third formless behind him. Hearing the third formless explode from the successful shot; Chiro breathed a sigh of relief.

Turning back to head across the small sandy beach back to his team, Chiro suddenly became blinded. Blinking furiously as he just about got his sight back again, before being mercilessly blinded again, he groaned. "What in Shugazoom is that?" Chiro inquired to himself, before his inquisitive nature got the better of him.

Recovering from the second blinding flash, Chiro soon saw a gap in the rock face, wandering over Chiro found the gap went way deeper then he first thought. Engulfing his hand in the power primate Chiro strode forward; allowing the soft green glow guide him. His gut twisted with every step, as his power pulsed in warning. This was not good. Pushing through his concern Chiro turned a small corned into what appeared to be an opening.

It was then the overhead lights flickered on, just as the unknown metallic doors slammed shut behind him.

"Whose there." Chiro growled as he spun around to see the doors trap him.

Receiving no answer, Chiro turned back quickly, focusing on the laboratory room that was filled with experiment tanks, pieces of robotics and lab tables. Moving forward, he reached the main desk, just as the whir of mechanical footsteps caught his delicate hearing from the adjoining room.

Chiro sunk into a fighting stance. "Show yourself now, before I pull you out of the darkness myself." Chiro demanded.

"If you insist, silly boy, but… do you remember who you are speaking to?" A strangely familiar voice questioned as it walked through the opening.

A completely mechanical robot stood in front of the boy hero. Glistening silver armour lined the humanoid structure; however its face appeared lifelike.

"What the…" Chiro's face furrowed into confusion, as he took in the being in front of him; taking a step back before his eyes landed on a distinguishing feature of the robot. The Robot's skull was exposed in clear glass. Inside the glass case contained a brain suspended in a purple liquid.

"Maezono!" Chiro snapped.

Laughing maliciously, the robot grinned. "I have to say Chiro; I am impressed you knew who I was. Gold star award goes to you." Maezono mocked as he stepped forward until he was in front of the teenager. "Whilst you're here, I have a proposition for you before you go running off again. One I think you will find… irresistible."

Growling in annoyance, Chiro eyed the door behind him as he spoke. "I have not come here to listen to you. Why are you here on Shugazoom?"

Smiling the robot shook his head. "That is a pity," Maezono tutted. "And here was me thinking you had come to pay me a visit, saving me the trouble of ferreting you out of wherever you might be hiding."

"What have you lured me here for?" Chiro demanded to know.

"My proposition is this Chiro. Your home was one of my greatest achievements, but I fear it is flawed, dangerously." Maezono began carefully before smirking. "Luckily I have come up with a solution, a new technology that keeps the core of your homes' power stable. But in designing this I also found I could override it to do the exact opposite."

"What are you even talking about Maezono?" Chiro asked impatiently, a low growl sneaking into the tone of his voice, as he barely grasped what the scientist was saying.

"Watch your tone boy." Maezono warned darkly as he walked to his desk. "You see Chiro; a chip that was accidentally implanted into the prototype's neutron generator core is usually redundant and disabled. Permanently off if you will. But let's just say, I reversed it and woke it up a bit. Do you know the damage that could cause?" Maezono questioned, as Chiro's silence was all he needed to hear.

"It will allow the energy from the neutron generator to be diverted. Escape into areas it should not be in. Take the robot's extensive wiring system as an example. As the wires are burned to a useless crisp by the power surge, it will begin a series of unfortunate events that you will not be able to stop. The safety systems lining the reactor core will fail due to being burned to redundancy."

"Meaning what?"

"Meaning you will lose control of the generator's core, no cut off and no control measures. The unstable generator core will go into overload. Generating and ploughing dangerous amounts of energy throughout the entire robot's circuitry. Luckily for you and your monkey team, you will all be dead pretty quickly. But for the civilians of Shugazoom they are all in for a real treat! Due to your upgraded hyper armour plating on the robot's exterior it will contain all this raging energy for a limited period of time. Until the generated heat and pressure cracks the casing, resulting in the structure's total collapse." Maezono concluded with a smirk. "It will be the biggest fireball ever witnessed Chiro. One that will remove Shugazoom City and its pathetic human population clean off the map."

Shaking visibly from what he was hearing Chiro shook his head in disbelief, his mouth falling agape, as he backed up towards the door. "You're lying." The teen shouted back.

"Am I? Am I really Chiro? I can tell you what to look for at the main core, the chip that is impossible to remove without destroying the core entirely. It will be an explosive mistake to make if you ignore my warning."

"Why are you telling me all of this?" Chiro growled, anger beginning to grip his demeanour.

"Ah the important part." Maezono grinned, "Because I have a deal to make with you that will keep your home safe, your so called friends safe and save Shugazoom from a lethal firework display." Maezono began. "I need help - your help to be precise. You will be my side kick, the force to reckon with when enemies come. The position is permanent."

"What the, work for you?" Chiro questioned mortified.

"And I expect one hundred percent effort on your part. You leave the Hyper Force behind and join my team. You tell no one the details of our deal or I will blow it all sky high. If you like gambling or fireworks here's your chance, but remember Chiro. If you play with fire you might get your fingers burned." Maezono warned with a flick of his wrist. "Now go and think on it, you have twenty four hours to come back here with an answer and it gives you time to collect your belongings. If not, bye bye robot." Maezono stated, as the door reopened on cue.

As soon as Chiro heard the door open, he bolted. Scampering onto the sands outside, as he sprinted back a long it, before climbing the steps to the main road. Seeing the team a head finish up the last of the formless, Chiro breathed a little sigh of relief that his absence went unnoticed.

"Scritch-scratch doom thrower."

"Laser criss cross."

"Monkey mind scream."

"Sprx get out of my way." Nova yelled, as she dodged the blade swinging formless and pushed the pilot out the way.

Leaping to the ground the golden warrior then pounced again, "Boom boom wake up." Nova yelled as she took down both hers and Sprx enemies in quick succession.

"I was just about to nail that formless." Sprx complained as he deactivated his magnets, crossing his arms.

"Well maybe you should be a bit quicker next time." Nova teased as she brushed off her hands.

Face scrunching up; the Mandarin clone turned to the T.V monster beside him, "My lord, the Hyper Force appears to be stronger than we first thought. They're killing the formless at speed." Mandarin stated, as he watched the last two formless explode in front of him.

The Skeleton King grumbled something inaudible before his voice boomed through the TV monster's speaker. "We are not losing anything valuable Mandarin. Take care of them yourself."

"Do you care to send out the rest of the reserves my lord?" Sakko inquired hopefully.

"No."

"Good work Sakko; brilliantly negotiated." Mandarin complimented, sarcasm lacing every word.

"Well Skeleton King just said for you to go and handle them all, yet your still standing there." Sakko retorted just as quickly back. Glaring daggers at his colleague in crime as they soon locked in contest.

"I don't think that will be necessary. Get lost Mandy and Sappy." Chiro interrupted appearing behind them with a smirk.

Growling, Mandarin armed his sword and claw ready as Chiro opened his palm. Green energy from his monkey fu attack, burnt through the centre of the T.V monster's torso. The damaged area sparked furiously as the large robot toppled over with a crash.

"That is my warning. Go now, or you'll be next." Chiro threatened the evil monkey pair.

Sneering, both evil primates scattered, "We'll be back hairless monkey."

"Good work team." Chiro congratulated, making his way back towards the monkey team, smiling at the large black puddle that filled the road towards Shugazoom City's main bridge.

"Our work here is done." Antauri concluded.

Activating their jet packs the team took to the sky as they headed back home. Chiro's face losing the smile it had been hiding behind instantly, as he dropped back behind the rest of the team.

Chiro's mind raced wildly with his encounter with Maezono. Trying to figure out if this was a bluff or not. 'I've got to check the generator core.' Chiro thought silently as he caught up with the rest of the team but stayed silent; listening half-heartedly to the small talk from the other team members around him.
