Prologue
-The Red Fox-
From the tips of my toes, to the top of my scalp I burned, a slab of meat on a burning pyre.
The world was darkness and excruciating pain, my very soul was being obliterated and I couldn't even scream.
What is happening to me?
Will anyone help me?
Waves and waves of agony swam through me pulsing with my thumping heart, I was the centre of a star, Blinding in my agony.
"that's right, give into the burn, let it carry you away from what you were."
The voice was a whisper in the charred mess that must have once resembled my ear.
What felt like a finger trailed down my face, inciting the burn closer to the surface, nearly making me scream.
I couldn't scream
I shouldn't scream, it's what she wants…
"I gave you the smallest possible dose, I doubt a single memory in that little head of yours will survive the change, and I left you right where you could cause the most damage."
Shifting air currents around me, and the fading sounds of a giggle in my ears told me she had left.
The Red Fox had her revenge.
