"Kai? KAI?", Anna yelled. She popped her head into the library, expecting to find him there. No sign of him. She walked down the hallway. "Kai!", she yelled again.

"Yes, Your Royal Highness!", she heard him answer from down the hallway. He came out of one Elsa's study room.

"Is everything alright, Your Royal Highness?", he asked worriedly as he saw the princess' slightly upset face.

"I can't find my sister! Have you seen her? I searched the whole castle for her!", she exclaimed frustratedly.

"And Kai! I told you so many times to stop calling me 'Your Royal Highness' or 'Ma'am'! I'm not some old snobbish lady!"

Anna and Elsa had always begged him to tone down formalities but Kai had never stopped addressing them correctly.

He cleared his throat. "Queen Elsa is out of town today, Ma'am.", he answered her question, ignoring her request.

Anna frowned. "What? She didn't tell me about this! What is she doing out of town?"

"As a matter of fact… I don't know, Ma'am. Her majesty left very early this morning on her horse. She didn't want to wake you. Her majesty said she would be back this evening."

Anna frowned even more. "Huh… Thank you, Kai."

When it was time for dinner, Elsa still hadn't returned.

Kristoff and Anna ate dinner together and after that they made themselves comfortable in the library on the sofa in front of the fireplace. Anna read a book while Kristoff tried to repair one of Sven's bridles.

They were both focused on their activities when suddenly the door opened.

Anna and Kristoff both looked up.

"Elsa!", Anna exclaimed and jumped off the sofa when she saw her sister stepping on, wearing black boots, a huge dark blue winter coat, black gloves and carrying a brown basket.

"Elsa, where have you been? I've been searching the whole castle for you this morning and then Kai told me that even he didn't know where you were heading to! I was worried about you!"

The two sisters hugged. Elsa gave her sister a warm smile.

"I'm sorry, Anna… but let me tell you: I was successful on my journey!", she said happily, putting the basket on the wooden table behind the sofa.

"Successful with what?", Anna asked, Kristoff standing now next to her.

Elsa lifted the blanket covering the basket.

Anna and Kristoff stepped closer to the table and both stared into the basket. It was filled with a green plant or a herb or something.

Anna gave Elsa a confused glance.

"What is this?"

Elsa still smiled at them. She took a step back and put her hands behind her back.

"This is a special kind of herb. It is very rare and not easy to find. And I brought it as a present for the two of you!", she said proudly.

Anna frowned. "And what would we do with it?"

Elsa cleared her throat. "This herb is a contraceptive."

Anna and Kristoff both stared at her, with their mouth opened and wide-eyed.

"W-what?", Anna stuttered.

"Yes!", Elsa exclaimed. "Anna… I've had a talk with Kristoff yesterday. About this whole situation with the two of you sharing a room now. And we also talked about how… unfavorable it would be if you got pregnant before being married." She gave her sister an insisting glance.

Anna looked away and smiled sheepishly.

Elsa continued: "But then I remembered how father once taught me different types of herbs in one of our countless lessons together. I had to learn everything about their different effects and possibilities of use. And I remembered that there was a special kind of herb that can be used, among other things, as a contraceptive. I had to look it up in one of the books about botany in the library again but I was right! And I also had an idea of where to find this herb in Arendelle.", she explained proudly.

"So. You have to brew a tea with this. And Kristoff has to drink a cup of it every morning from now on. And… then you won't have to worry about… getting… closer anymore.", she added sheepishly.

Anna swallowed. "And… this really works?", she asked carefully.

Elsa smiled proudly again. "Yes! Definitely! Because… let's just say… there is some magic involved", she said knowingly. "Which is why it is so hard to find."

Anna looked at the content of the basket again and then at her sister.

"Elsa..." Her face slowly lit up with joy and relief.

"Elsa… thank you so much! This is just… great!", she said, her voice filled with gratitude.

She glanced at Kristoff who scratched his head and gave Elsa a grateful look.

"Elsa… thank you… very much!"

Elsa smiled. "Your both welcome. AND NOW!", she exclaimed emphatically.

"I don't want to talk to you about this topic ever again! EVER! I don't want to know ANYTHING! Did I make myself clear?"

She paused and gave her sister a playful look.

Anna burst out laughing. "Yes!", she squealed.

She approached her sister and they gave each other a hug, both laughing friskily.
