I wrote this because Ihad an idea after watching The Dark Side of Dimensions and finally finishing 5D's.

Mokuba Kaiba sat anxiously in the chopper as they flew over the desert sands of Egypt. At the pilot's seat sat Roland and next to him sat Fuguta in the copilot seat. The reason they were in Egypt once again is that they picked up a distress signal not just any signal, Seto's signal. It's been a little over a week since Seto crossed into the afterlife to face the Pharoah.

"Check the intercom again." Mokuba ordered again nervously.

"Mr. Kaiba I'm sure your brother is-"

"Mokuba." Seto's voice came from the intercom.

Mokuba rushed forward and grabbed the walkie-talkie from the control panel, "Seto, are you alright?!"

"I'm fine." Seto replied, "Prepare a medical team."

"B-but you just said you were fine." Mokuba stammered.

"It's not for me."

Mokuba didn't question anymore as they arrived at the Pharoah's tomb. Once they landed on the ground Mokuba rushed out of the chopper. When he entered the tomb he found Seto standing alone. His older brother had his back to him.

"Did you do it, did you win?" Mokuba asked excitedly.

When Seto turned around Mokuba stopped dead in his tracks. He saw a girl with long silver hair curled up in Seto's arms. She looked ragged and hurt her hand gripped onto Seto's shirt like a lifeline. Looking closer Mokuba saw the purple bruises on her pale skin.

"Is that medical team coming?" Seto asked.

Mokuba nodded before asking, "Who is that?"

"Her name is Kisara." He answered before making his way out of the tomb with Mokuba on his tail.

Climbing into the helicopter and flying offset the medical team halfway all questions about the duel faded from Mokuba's mind. He mind was plagued by only one question.

Who is she?

35 years later, Neo Domino City

At the center of Neo Domino City stood the tallest tower in the city. KaibaCorp tower stood taller than any other building. Of course, the tower would be at the center of the city given that KaibaCorp is responsible for the inception of Neo Domino City. At the top floor of the building in the CEO office and sat behind an ivory desk sat the head of the company.

Raiden Kaiba at seventeen years old is the head of KaibaCorp. Though that was nothing compared to what his grandfather had accomplished. Seto Kaiba took over the company when he was just a child and reformed KaibaCorp from a military arms-dealing company to a gaining company. He revolutionized the gaming industry starting with Duel Monsters. Holographic interfacing with monster cards ushered in the partnership with KaibaCorp and Industrial Illusions. He took it a step further with the invention of the Duel Disk. He debuted it with what is still considered the greatest dueling tournament in history, Battle City. And just before he disappeared he once again revolutionized Duel Monsters with Turbo Duels and Duel Runners.

Spinning around on his swivel chair he looked out the window and down at the city. The city his grandfather built. Taking the mantle as the head of the company put a huge weight on his shoulders. Everyone expects him to become the next Seto Kaiba, to revolutionize Duel Monsters once again.

"How did you do it, grandpa?" He wondered aloud, "How did you change the game again and again?"

A knock on the door caught his attention, "Come in." His assistant Mia walked through the door, "What is it?"

"Sir, the latest list of the enrollees of the San Francisco Duel Academy has arrived." She informed walking across the office, "The numbers from the new Kaiba Land in Hong Kong have arrived as well." She handed him stacks of papers.

"Good." Raiden nodded looking over the numbers before nodding, "As expected."

"And you have that Fortune Cup tournament you have to attend." She quickly reminded.

The Fortune Cup is being held in the Kaiba Dome and as the CEO it's customary for him to show up. He didn't expect his life to be like this while he attended Duel Academy. He easily won his way int Obelisk Blue and graduated top of his class.

"Thank you, Mia. Prepare my duel runner. I'd like drive myself." He ordered and she nodded before walkout out of the office. Reaching into his desk drawer. Inside he found a headset and a state of the art virtual duel disk resting on a black bodysuit.

The virtual duel disk is backed up with all the duel monster cards collected by the Kaiba family through the years. The strongest monsters in duel monsters' history rested within this duel disk. Slipping on the black bodysuit he placed the headset on his head and slipped the duel disk on his left wrist.

Closing his eyes he activates the duel disk. Reaching down he placed his fingers over the virtual card. Whipping his arm back he opened his eyes to see what he drew.

Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon.

Smiling to himself he began to walk out of the office. Walking down the corridor he entered the elevator that took his all the way down to the garage. When the doors slid open he was met with the aight of his duel runner, Burst Stream. Approaching the duel runner he smiled. If it's one thing he couldn't live without it's his duel runner.

Mounting the duel runner he reached down and placed a helmet over the silver locks on his head. He designed the helmet after Blue-Eyes White Dragon. The runner itself is modeled after a traditional motorcycle but it had an extra feature. Burst Stream isn't like any other duel runner it was also a hoverbike.

"Always keep the best for ourselves." He muttered before the engine came to life.

The bike launched from where it sat. Zooming out from the garage and into the daylight. Raiden loved the road just as much as he loved dueling. Sometimes he just wished to drive on forever.

He remembers the first time he dueled publicly. It was during the entrance exam at duel academy. He enrolled with years ahead of experience. His grandfather taught him everything to know about duel monsters.

"Feels just like yesterday." He sighed, reminiscing.

2 Years Ago, Dueling Academy

"You'll look real pretty in Slifer Red." The Examiner, Tenton, taunted from across the dueling arena.

Sky blue eyes glared at the man, "Not if I have anything to say about it." Before reaching his arm out allowing his v3 duel disk to fold open, "Let's begin." He drew five cards.

The examiner's duel academy duel disk spread open, "Very well, ladies first." He taunted as he drew five cards as well.

Raiden: 4000 LP

Trenton: 4000 LP

"You're too kind." He rolled his eyes before he glanced down at his hand to see what he drew. Glaring up at the man, "I use Pot of Greed!" He declared before reaching down at his deck, "This card allows me to draw two more cards and then I'll summon Lord of Dragons!"

In a fog of purple smoke, the spellcaster monster appeared.

Lord of D. Level: 4 Atk/1200 Def/1100

"But that's not all I activate the Flute of Summoning Dragon!" He declares as a card hologram appeared, "With Lord of Dragons on the field I can summon two dragons from my hand." He started before placing two cards on his duel disk, "Watch as my Assault Wyvern and Krystal Dragon soar into the field."

A pair of screeches echoed through the stadium. In a brilliant demonstration of light, Krystal Dragon appeared on the field. In a speeding blur too fast to see Assault Wyvern appeared next to Krystal Dragon.

Assault Wyvern Level: 4 Atk/1800 Def/1000

Krystal Dragon Level: 6 Atk/2500 Def/1000

"Consider yourself lucky that I can't attack my first turn." Raiden placed his last card in his disk, emptying his hand, "I'll place one card face down and end my turn." He said as a card hologram appeared by his feet.

Smirking the older man drew a card before speaking, "First off I activate the field sell Naturia Forest." He started placing the card in the field spell card. The field around them sprouted into a lush forest, "And then I will summon Naturia Pumpkin."

A green pumpkin erupted from the ground.

Naturia Pumpkin Level: 4 Atk/1800 Def/800

"And since you already have monsters on your side of the field, my pumpkin's effect allows me to special summon another Naturia monster from my hand." He started before another monster, "Now say hello to the tuner monster, Naturia Tulip."

Naturia Tulip Level: 2 Atk/600 Def/1500

"You know for such a big guy I didn't expect you to have such a cutesy deck." Raiden commented.

"Looks can be deceiving." He replied before he declared, "Now I synchro summon Naturia Barkion!"

The two fruits formed into six stars before lining up together. A pillar of light blasted into existence before a long white snake light dragon appeared. Raiden glared at the Synchro Monster before glaring at the duelist.

Naturia Barkion Level: 6 Atk/2500 Def/1800

"Barkion attack his Lord of Dragons!" Trenton ordered.

Raiden didn't think twice, "I activate my trap card, Staunch Defender!" The face-down card lifted up revealing the trap, "Now I can redirect your attack towards my Krystal Dragon."

Krystal Dragon flew in between the two monsters prepared to fall along with the opposing monster.

Trenton didn't hesitate, "I activate Barkion's effect! By banishing my Naturia Pumpkin and Naturia Tulip from my graveyard I can negate the effect of your trap card. Since I negates one of your card effects I can special summon my Natura Mosquito not only that I can also special summon my Natura Hydrangea!"

Naturia Mosquito Level: 1 Atk/300 Def/200

Naturia Hydrangea Level: 5 Atk/1900 Def/2000

Staunch Defender shattered to a thousand pieces. Naturia Barkion twisted around Krystal Dragon before unleashing a pillar of green flames, engulfing Lord of Dragons. Raiden groaned in frustration.

Raiden: 4000 - 2700 LP

"With that, I end my turn." The examiner stated before chuckling, "No one would blame you for forfeiting."

"I'm just getting started." Raiden replied before drawing a card and smiled, "I sacrifice both Assault Wyvern and Krytal Dragon in order to summon, Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"

White bolts of lightning struck down on the field. In a flash of blinding light the mighty Blue-Eyes White Dragon appeared on the field. Everyone in the arena even duelers in their own matches froze in shock.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon Level: 8 Atk/3000 Def/2500

"But he won't be here for long since I activate Advance Draw!" Raiden stated, "By sacrificing Blue-Eyes I can draw two more cards."

Blue-Eyes faded away as Raiden drew two more card.

Trenton laughed his heart out, "Rookie mistake, you just dumped one of the best cards in the game to draw two useless cards!"

"I my deck has no useless cards." Raiden replied before he played another spell, "I activate Dragon Shrine, this card allows me to send the two other White Dragons from my deck to the graveyard." He stated before he took the other two dragons from his deck and place them in the graveyard.

"I get it." Trenton declared confident, "You have Monster Reborn in your hand so you can special summon your dragon."

"You're gonna wish you were so lucky." Raiden replied before revealing his second card, "I activate Dragon's Mirror."

Trenton's confident grin quickly fell, "No!"

"Yes, I can banish the fusion materials of a dragon-type fusion monster from the graveyard." A mocking grin formed on Raiden's face, "Now say hello to Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!"

A ball of blue and white light appeared on the field blinding everyone in the arena. When the light died down a large three headed dragon floated above the field.

Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon Level: 12 Atk/4500, Def/3800

"No." Trenton said helplessly.

"That's right, regret every degrading comment you've made since this duel began!" Raiden yelled, "Now Blue-Eyes! Hyper Neutron Blast!"

The middle head sent a blast of pure blue energy toward Naturia Barkion. The blast made contact causing a ground-shaking explosion with blue smoke.

Trenton: 4000 - 2000 LP

"My Ultimate Dragon's effect allows me to send a second Neo in my extra deck to the graveyard so this monster attacks twice!" Raiden declared as the ultimate dragon charged for another attack, "Once more Blue-Eyes lay waste to your enemy! Attack Naturia Hydrengea with Hyper Neutron Blast!"

The two side heads unleashed twin beams of blue energy directly at Trenton. The beams converged on their target unleashing a bright white explosion.

Trenton: 2000 - 0 LP

"No way." Trenton said in shock.

"By the way, I'm a medium. For when you get me my Obelisk Blue jacket." He stated before walking away.

Everyone in the arena looked at the teen in shock, intimidation or fear. His grandfather always said that the greatest duelists always got those looks and it the mark of a true duelist. But Raiden felt off, this isn't how he expected it to feel. He thought he would feel pride or satisfaction but all he felt was a sense of isolation.

It's always lonely at the top.

"Where did the time go?" He smiled as he pulled up to the Kaiba Dome.

As he dismounted the duel runner he was met with Rex Goodwin. The Director Sector Security an organization who enforced the law across Neo Domino as well as Satellite. They depend heavily on KaibaCorp for technology as well as duel monster cards. Without KaibaCorp they would be powerless against those they try to pursue on a nightly basis. Raiden is basically his boss. Removing the helmet he looked up at the man.

"Mr. Kaiba, always a pleasure to see you, sir." He greeted.

"Rex." He greeted, "Please tell me that clown who follows you around isn't here."

Rex chuckled, "I made sure to inform Lazar to remain out of sight."

"I was talking about Jack." He replied passing by the scientist.

Jack Atlas is the champion duelist in Neo Domino and Raiden's constant problem. Rex assured him that the duelist would bring in profit and much to his frustration the scientists proved to be right. Goodwin tried to hide the fact that Jack was from the satellite but nothing in Neo Domino could stay hidden from him for too long which is why he even agreed to make an appearance.

And that's exactly why he even bothered to show up.

"Is my private box ready?"

"Of course, sir." Goodwin made sure to stay five steps behind Raiden. He discreetly raised his wrist to his face, "Make sure Mr. Kaiba remains blissfully ignorant of the Signers."

"As you wish." Lazar replied with a chuckle.
