Author's Note: Here it is, everyone! Welcome to the brand new rewrite, aka, the first story of my new second fanfiction account; my most famous story project - A Brother's Breakdown. That's right people! I wanted to write the fanfic of Lincoln finally snapping out and face the facts of his sisters taking advantage of him no matter how forgiving he can be. :-)
Now before we began, I would like to apologize for deleting the old version (Beta Edition) from my first fanfiction account, even though it's got like a lot of follows, favorites, and reviews. The reason why I brought this story to this account was that I felt that it doesn't fit well there with the kinds of stories. (You guys wouldn't understand, get mad all ya'll like... but it's MY story anyway). I'll also be bringing back the stories I've deleted from my first account, so get excited people. I really did appreciate that by the way. Maybe this version will be even more improving and I sincerely hope you guys will love it.
And to my fellow author's who have messaged me their ideas of the new version, I'm still gonna make Lincoln a superhero and meet the Dixon family since they seem like fun super-powered people, thanks to the idea from BlueKnight-X2, but unlike the old version, this one will be completely different. I'm not gonna be a spoiler alert, that's up to you guys to follow the story. So please, sit back, relax, and enjoy the first chapter. Here we go!
Disclaimer: Nickelodeon owns The Loud House, and the characters (except the OCs I've made for this story). I do not claim rights to any of this. I am only responsible for this fic.
Prologue: Lincoln's Bad Morning
...
Lincoln Loud was always known to have a reasonably strong and healthy, if occasionally troubled, relationship with his family. Being the one brother among ten other sisters, he sometimes couldn't help but feel the odd one out. Often enough, he would find himself in a 10 vs 1 conflict, more so than the other siblings. He knew the sisters loved him deep down, and they would never mean to inflict serious harm upon him. But sometimes it was difficult for him to remind himself of that. He did draw the short straw a lot when it came to life in the Loud house. It was only a matter of time until some event, even a seemingly insignificant one, would trigger an outburst to erupt.
Indeed, all it would take was another serious incident to occur which somehow caused ill events to happen at his expense. Even just a small-scale squabble would be enough to make him snap, provided it happened at a very poorly timed moment. That's precisely what happened.
The Loud boy got in trouble for something which happened at school, which wasn't his fault, but he ended up taking the blame for some shenanigans his friends were pulling. Additionally, he had been getting a lot of stress from his teacher lately about getting his homework and school projects in on time as well as in tact, which happened less consistently than a person would think.
In the Loud house, things had a tendency to break, including various things Lincoln had or made that he needed for school. Add to that, his parents nagging him for the umpteenth time to get up and start exercising more, though Lincoln knew that they were just looking out for his well-being since he's been playing video games and reading comics more often. This was all building up. Not to mention, previous incidents where he suffered hardship at the hands of his sisters were not entirely forgotten.
Forgiven but not forgotten, and the events of the sister fight protocol and being kicked out of the house for being 'bad luck' still stuck out in his mind, even if he didn't show it. He was particularly stressed and emotionally on edge one night, and the last thing he needed was to deal with was being blamed for all the mistakes that were made.
But soon, very soon, things will be different...
Sunday morning has arrived in the town of Royal Woods, Michigan. Everyone were all up and about, ready for their day. However, there is one person who lives in a two-story house of 13 people won't be having a great day unfortunately. Inside the Loud house, Lincoln was in his bedroom doing one of his favorite hobbies; reading his comic book in his underwear. The white haired boy then turn to notice the viewers and smiles before he spoke.
"Oh hey, I didn't see you there. I'm just enjoying my relaxing time of reading my comic here. There's nothing more than to have peace and quiet here in the Loud house. Sure it's very rare when you live in a big family, but that's the way my life is. And I wouldn't trade it for the world." He said to the viewers before he resumes reading his comic book.
Suddenly, the door burst open and Lola enters the room, looking extremely miffed. "LINCOLN!" The 6 year old shouted.
"Well, it was fun while it lasted." Lincoln sighed as he put down the comic. "Is there something wrong, Lola?" Lincoln asked.
"You better believe there is something wrong! My pageant gown is ruined because you've been adding bleach to the wash!" Lola showed him her said dress, which now looked bleached.
"Lola I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure that one of our sisters had done it." Lincoln replied, but his story didn't seem to calm his little sister.
"If I remember correctly, it was your turn to do it." She glared at the boy. "SO HOW COULD IT HAD BEEN ONE OF THEM?!" She screeched.
Lincoln sighed. "Lola, I don't have time to deal with your tantrum. Just go ask Mom and Dad to buy you a new dress."
Just then, Lori burst into the room, and just like Lola, she was furious. "LINCOLN!" She hollered with rage.
"What's wrong, Lori?" Lincoln inquired.
"I'll tell you what's wrong, twerp! You left my phone sitting on the table! It got knocked over and fell into Charles's water bowl, and now it's literally broken!" Lori said, showing Lincoln her phone now damaged and wet.
"Lori, I swear, I didn't leave your phone charging on the table, I left it charging on the counter. Somebody else must've put it on the table before it was knocked over." Lincoln said, trying to defend himself.
"Well even if they did, it wouldn't have happened if you would've just kept a better eye on my phone while I was gone! How am I supposed to chat with my friends now that my phone is broken?!" Lori said angrily to her brother.
"Lori, if you want to chat with your friends, then why not invite them over here just like you did before?" Lincoln said.
"LINCOLN!" Lynn shouted, bursting into Lincoln room.
Lincoln sighed and rolled his eyes. "Let me guess, Lynn, something's wrong?"
"Uh, yeah there's something wrong! You completely ruined my tennis racket!" Lynn yelled angrily.
"What are you talking about?" The Loud boy asked, confused.
"Don't act so innocent with me! I left it downstairs and you thought it was the electric fly swatter!" The athlete then shows her brother her broken tennis racket. "Now how am I supposed to practice with this? My coach is gonna kill me all because you were trying to swat a stupid fly!"
"Hey, it's not my fault the two look identical to each other. Plus, you should've warned me before I grabbed it!" Lincoln said, trying to defend himself.
"Well maybe you shouldn't be so stupid and ruin other people's property!" Lynn fired back at him.
"Excuse me?!" Lincoln glared, completely offended by what his 13 year old sister just called him.
"You heard me! Every time someone has something important coming up, you would always find a way to mess it up for them!" Lynn scowled. "You're always known to screw things up! Whether it involves you or not, you somehow, someway, mess things up for people!"
"A. You're overreacting. B. I don't screw things up for people everytime. And C you later." Lincoln told her before he then resumes reading his comic, but Lynn then swipes it away from him.
"I won all my pageant shows with this dress!" Lola shows Lincoln her dress.
"I saved all my best contacts with this phone!" Lori shows Lincoln her phone.
"I can't attend my future tennis games with this!" Lynn shows Lincoln her tennis racket.
Lincoln turns to the viewers, exasperated. "Seriously, what's wrong with everybody today? They're always getting angry with me for a lot of stuff."
(*Flashback #1*)
Lincoln was taking the garage bag outside. He then throws the last trash bag on the curb. "It took all day, but I finally managed to take all the garbage out." The white haired boy said with a proud smile. But suddenly, his parents came towards him with disapproving looks.
"Uh, is something wrong, Mom and Dad?" Lincoln asked, confused.
"Lincoln, we've been over this before. You can't just leave the trash outside on the curb." Rita scolded him.
"You need to put all the bags in the trash can." Lynn Sr added.
"But Mom, Dad, I don't see anymore bags around here." Lincoln said, still confused.
"Oh really?" Rita said sternly before she points at something. "Then what's that?"
It reveals that there are more trash bags outside of the trash can. "Wait, those bags weren't there before. How are they all supposed to fit?"
"You figure it out yourself, young man." Rita tells him before she and her husband walk away. Lincoln just gives a deadpan look at the viewers.
(*Flashback #2*)
Lincoln was the chemistry classroom cleaning each and every desk with his cleaning supplies.
"There! All done!" He said just as he finished doing his work. Just then, Principal Huggins, Mrs. Johnson, and Coach Pacowski all came into the room to see how Lincoln is doing.
"Hey guys, I just finished cleaning all the desks." Lincoln said to them. He puts his cleaning supplies down and runs over to them. However, he accidentally knocks over one of the science chemicals onto some of the desks, and suddenly.
KA-BOOM!
All the chairs and the room are blown up and charred. Mrs. Johnson, Principal Huggins, and Coach Pacowski all got really angry towards the Loud boy.
"Seriously?" Lincoln deadpanned.
(*Flashback #3*)
"Lincoln, could you please take the lasagna out to the table?" Rita asked as she was preparing the dining table.
"Sure, Mom." Lincoln nodded before he went to the kitchen. He puts on the cooking mittens, opens the oven, and brings the lasagna out of the oven. He carries it to the table, but accidentally trips on Lily's rattle and the lasagna goes flying and splatters all over the table.
"Lincoln, what did you do?!" Lynn Sr shouted with anger. Lincoln starts to look worried.
(*Present*)
"And if you think that's bad, they also blame me for the stuff that I unintentionally do." Lincoln said to the viewers. "I mean really, is there anyway a kid like me to take a break from all of this madness?"
"LINCOLN!" Lana burst into the room.
"What's wrong, Lana?" Lincoln asked the tomboy.
"You forgot to feed my little Pablo." Lana said, showing her brother her starving pet mouse.
"Lana, I didn't forget to feed him, but was forced to help Lynn with her soccer practice." Lincoln said.
"Well maybe you should've find some time to do so. You knew that none of my mouses can be when they're not being feed." Lana scowled, rubbing her pet mouse's growling stomach.
"Actually, Lana, it's pronounced 'mice'." Lisa said as she entered the room. "Anyway, back to why I was here..." She then glares at her brother. "LINCOLN! Can you explain to me why was my room burnt to a crisp?!"
"What so you mean, Lisa?" Asked the Loud boy.
"I looked at my security camera and saw you were in my room last night. You were looking under the table and my chemicals were there, but when you lift it up, despite that you've haven't been working out much, my chemicals were knocked over. I was about to take them to my project class, but they've exploded as soon after you left! THEY WERE MY LIFE'S WORK, AND YOUR RECKLESSNESS HAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED THEM!" Lisa hissed with fury.
"Lisa, I'm really sorry. I was looking for Lily's rattle after she lost it again, I didn't even noticed that I've knocked over your chemicals." Lincoln said.
"LINCOLN!" Lucy suddenly appeared out of nowhere, scaring everyone in the room as Lincoln jumped out of bed, startled.
"What's the problem, Lucy?" Lincoln asked the goth girl.
"Look at what you did to Edwin!" Lucy showed him her vampire bust which looked broken.
"And how did he get broken?" Lincoln asked, confused.
"When you were playing your video game in the living room, you didn't see Edwin behind you. You swung the game controller and knocked him off the coffee table." Lucy scowled.
"I'm sorry that I broke him, Lucy. But you should've put him somewhere else where I won't hit him." Lincoln replied.
Luan suddenly burst into the room. "LINCOLN!" she shouted.
Lincoln sighed, getting irritated by most of his sisters entering his room already. "Yes Luan, what's up?"
"Duh, the opposite of down! You've broken all my comedy supplies when you brought them in the house!" Luan brings out one of her broken supplies; which is a broken shock buzzer. "I'm quite shocked by what you did! Ha ha ha, get it?" She laughed, but then return to her angry expression. "But seriously, you ruined them! What am I gonna do for my next show?!"
"I'm sorry Luan. I tripped on Lynn's softball and fell, I didn't see it in front of me." Lincoln said.
"Well maybe you should've watch where your going more often!" Luan yelled at him.
Leni burst into the room, looking mad as her sisters as she was holding her broken sewing machine.
Lincoln sighed, "What now, Leni?"
"Linky, you like totally destroyed my sewing machine when you tripped on it's working string!" The blonde ditz glared. "I was gonna use it to make new clothes for my friends, but now I can't!"
"Number 1; If you're saying 'working string' you mean 'plug'. And number 2; you should've moved the machine closer to the wall, that way I wouldn't trip."
"LINCOLN!" Luna angrily bursts in.
Lincoln was now agitated. "WHAT?!" He yelled out.
"Don't 'WHAT' me, bro! Look at what you did to my guitar strings!" The rockstar reveals her said interment with broken strings. "Totally bogus of you, dude! Now me and my band can't play!"
"But Luna, it wasn't me who broke the strings. I swear!" Lincoln said.
"Don't give me that, dude! You were in my room when it happened!" Luna scowled at the white haired boy.
The rest of Lincoln's sisters started criticizing and ranting him out as the Loud boy tries to think of what to do to quell them out. "I gotta do something..." He whispered to himself.
He then decided to shout to them. "ALRIGHT, BE QUIET!"
The Loud girls ceased their rantings, but they were still glaring at their only brother.
"Look girls, I understand that you all are upset today because of what happened to something that's important to you. I know that you guys won't believe me because of all the things I've done in the past, but I promise it wasn't me, and if it was then I didn't mean to do it on purpose. And so again, I'm sorry that I made you all feel like this today, but you all really need to chill out and think this over before you go jumping into conclusions and pointing fingers at someone." Lincoln said to them in a matter of fact.
Unfortunately, his words still didn't calm the wrath of his sisters. Lincoln sighed as he got up, not wanting to deal with them any longer.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go make myself some breakfast. I hope you all will calm down soon." Lincoln exits his bedroom as his sister's were still glaring daggers at him.
How long is this gonna last? He sadly thought.
Lincoln was walking to the kitchen to grab himself a Zombie Brand cereal for breakfast. But as soon as he was about to eat, his parents were walking into the kitchen, and they look clearly disproved.
Lincoln looks at them with concern. "Mom, Dad, what's wrong?" He asked them.
"Lincoln, we need to talk." Lynn Sr began sternly.
"About what?" The 11 year old asked.
"About how you smashed the TV." Rita said, crossing her arms.
Lincoln was even more confused. "When have I ever smashed the TV?"
"The girls have told us that you got mad over losing your video game again and that you threw a tantrum and broke the TV." Lynn Sr replied.
Lincoln sighed and shook his head. "Mom, Dad, whatever the girls have told you isn't true. Sure I get frustrated in the past, but I promise you that I didn't break the TV this time." He said, waiting for their stern expressions to soften. They never did.
"I'm sorry, Lincoln," Rita said. "But after seeing all the unnecessary actions you have caused-"
"Such as clogging the toilet. " Lynn Sr cuts in.
"I'm afraid we can't trust you on this." The Loud matriarch finished.
"But guys, really, I didn't mean to do them on purpose. Sure I may some some on purpose, but I didn't break anything lately. "
Suddenly, Mr. Grouse's voice yelled out from outside. "Louds! When are you gonna start paying for the damaged window that your son had caused? All these bugs are coming in all willy-nilly!"
Rita and Lynn Sr both turn to their son with anger in their eyes.
"Ugh! Can things get any worse for me?!" Lincoln sighed to the viewers, getting more annoyed.
END OF CHAPTER
Author's Note: And so, that concludes the prologue of the rewrite. Did you guys like it... as in; really REALLY like it?! I know not all of you don't and please just give me your opinions.
After that talk I had with another author, That Engineer, I feel like he is right about what I've done with the old version a year ago. I made the Loud sisters too violent, Albert taking care of the kids when he shouldn't for a decade while the Loud parents were getting arrested for kicking Lincoln out of the house after the events of "No Such Luck". So I owe him one for making me feel like I should start this story from scratch. But, this version also won't be taking place after that said episode. Like I said before, this version will be completely different.
But after watching all the episodes of Lincoln getting blamed on such as "Brawl in the Family" and "The Green House", I decided that it would be a much better idea to do something even better!
