Authors note: I was in the middle of watching Shaman King when I got hit by the weirdest inspiration ever lol I haven't felt this inspired to write anything for a very long time so I went ahead and wrote it! As I was writing I realized I am a CLOWN! Because

1. I don't know how to write fight scenes. I've only written two very short fights back in 2014 and I went, "PHEW THAT WAS LONG!"

2. Marineford Arc is 33 episodes long! The whole arc is fights and barely any dialogue... that's like 10/11 chapters till I finish Marineford alone...

I'm not a clown, I'm a whole cirus. I shot myself on the foot with this one so wish me luck.

EDIT: I CAN'T BELIEVE I MADE SUCH A MISTAKE SO I EDITED IT ASAP. I'M REALLY A CLOWN.

Chapter 1: Misunderstanding

She couldn't move. The force of air slapping her body was making it difficult to battle. Plunging into a smoke of clouds, her eardrums were ringing repetitively to the point she could no longer hear.

Her hand staggered to reach her mouth, pearl teeth biting into skin as blood poured out. She brought her hands together to make simple signs of boar, dog, monkey, bird and lastly, raven... important signs needed for a summoning jutsu. She took in the unchanging hues of the sky as she waited for Katsuyu's appearance.

Nothing happened.

She repeated the actions again and again till she realized she can't summon her slug.

Changing her tactics, she struggled to twist her body, shielding her face from the sharp whiplash she knew was coming, her figure naturally shifted position from the gravitational pull. There was a tiny island down below surrounded by water. Her dry eyes couldn't take in any other details, instead she dived forward, focusing on falling in the ocean. Words of determination echoed over and over her head. She will make it, she will make it, she will make it!

With a large splash, her attention faded into the events that happened earlier...

A thin, boney, malnourished woman with alabastar hair spattered all over the ground, stared at her with irisless eyes inside the dimly lit cave. Sakura's kunai was held up high but she knew that she couldn't do much with it. A chunk of saliva sank down her throat, drops of sweat trailed down her head. Even if weakened, she was still... God.

"Where is Sasuke?" she asked, not moving a single inch from her position. The pinkette didn't want her to catch any openings. She wasn't sure what to do. Wait for reinforcement? Attack Kaguya by herself? Wait for Naruto? What was she supposed to do? What's the best course of action? It took all team 7 to defeat her during the war but right now she didn't seem at her prime while Sakura, on the other hand, got stronger...

"I killed him."

She- her hand clutched her throat, wanting to vomit. She couldn't breathe. Stream of bubbles formed around her mouth rapidly, skin slowly numbing with the drop of temperature.

Her eyelids gaped open, taking in the contrasting set of views. Her left filled with darkness, stretching as far as she could see. While her right, filled with rays of light shining through the waves. It was a beautiful sight, one she never thought she would think at this moment. As her weight dragged her down, neon green lights formed around her right hand to ease the pain in her lungs and with her left, she swept it down then up, peddling to the surface. She was this close into breathing but with chakra, she managed to get out. Taking in large glups of air, her nose, eyes and throat burned from how salty the ocean is. She remembered an island being here, so blinking the pain away, her fingers clutched the nearest source of footing only to let go as fast as she held it. It was ice? She pushed her hair back and wiped her face off any traces of water. It was ice.

Using both palms, she placed them on top and pulled herself. Her chest huffed and puffed, legs stretching up the surface. Once again, she pushed away the strands of hair. She didn't remember it snowing. Even when she was falling, the weather was humid so from where did this ice came from? Rubbing her elbow to warm them up, her gaze trailed from the rink to a small brown shell with eyes peeking out from underneath.

A snail? In here? A light sound of teeth clattering caught her ears, clearly showing this cold was an abnormality because no snail would get lost in the middle of winter. Her head titled in confusion, hand and knees lowering down to beckon it closer.

"Come, little one," she whispered softly. There rarely were any snails in the Fire country but she could have swore they didn't look anything like this.

As if sensing there was no danger, the snail came out, slugging on top of her happily towards her shoulders. With her index, she tickled the snail on it's neck, watching it close it's eyes in bliss.

"Aren't you cute?" Sakura complimented the snail, wanting to find out what origin it came from but with Kaguya's recovery, she couldn't sit down and analyze. Naruto and Sasuke needed to know what's happening as soon as possible... she didn't believe he was dead. She was sure she was lying. The man she loved wasn't weak.

Standing up, she looked ahead, ready to go to konoha just to stop... What the hell?

Stretching far enough, to edges of pure thick, semi cement wall, were a dozen of strange machinery lined up in a curve, with pairs of cylinder protruding on each of them. She thought she knew advanced technology but this was her first time seeing such thing.

That wasn't even the most shocking part... there were... people. All of them were watching her... the number weren't just a few hundred, it looked like few THOUSANDS. Last time she saw this many people at once was during the Third Shinobi War.

There were few who stopped clashing their swords, indicating they were in the middle of battle. A large ship- why was there a ship?- hindered her right side...

Sakura didn't have a good feeling about this one. Oh, this didn't feel right at all but she hoped she could ask directions to konoha and get out of here. It was a bit intimidating to approach but she got closer. The people's head turned toward her. She could see them tensing up, probably thinking she was an enemy.

With all her might, she shouted loudly, her hand near her mouth to enlarge the sound. "EXCUSE ME! I'M SORRY IF IM INTERRUPTING SOMETHING! I'M LOST! DO YOU KNOW WHERE KONOHA VILLAGE IS?"

Just then the little snail on her shoulders emitted a strange ringing sound, the back of its shell shaking.

"Pururururururu"

What was that? There was a jutting, separate color on the shell that rattled a bit. Her hand gripped and yanked it close to her face to inspect it. What is this?Just then, the snail spoke, startling her a bit.

A summoning jutsu?

A voice so deep and uncharacteristically manly came out of the snail. Not just from the snail but the entire cove. "Who are you?"

This animal didn't speak before until the strange ringing which meant it was a message. It reminded her of their radio transmitter, the one they use in their missions. If it goes anything like it then it must mean there was someone controlling it.

She looked ahead at the only thing standing out now aside from the amount of people. It was the long, intricate tower with a wide platform. It stood tall and imposing. A young man with mid-length curly hair, deep pitch black eyes, freckle on his cheeks had red beads around his neck. He was on his knees, his head hung down low. Two men held swords in a cross. Next to him was a man, clad in all-white suit, with glasses on. Underneath were three chairs, seated by people wearing yellow, red, and blue in that order. They seemed like defenders and ahead where nine giant people putting Choji's family to shame with their height.

It seemed unlikely any of them would speak so she locked gaze with the only man with authority figure, the one near the young offender. He seemed to scream the exact same words again although it's very hard to discern. However, she was a shinobi and people like her learned to lip read.

Seeing no harm in the question, as she was taught to be honest when it came to alliance diplomacy, she answered. It was easy for them to find her identity when she had a reputation for being the infamous student of Lady Tsunade. Plus her pink hair gives away all sort of "hidden" identity she may want to do. "I'm Sakura Haruno from the leaf village."

It was simple and to the point. All the 5 nations are currently in peace therefore, knew that they were not each other's enemy. That's why it's important for them to know she came from the leaf village. A treaty shouldn't be broken by lies and she could always speak with their leader about her uncalled for trespass. Maybe even inform them of Kaguya's return. Before she could say anything, he asked another question.

"Are you a pirate?"

Sakura was taken aback. That was the oddest question anyone have ever asked her in her entire life. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. There is a pirate in this day and age? They were equivalent to bandits. A bunch of thieves, rapists, violent savages.

"A pirate? Who would want to be a pirate? They are a disgrace to humanity." She meant every word she said. Often times they were not even worthy a shinobi's time.

Just then a bunch of indistinct shouting blended in together in the background, leaving behind incoherency. Looking back, there were around several ships with jolly roger flag in the ships's sails.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY LITTLE GIRL?"

"WHAT A SCUM!"

"YOU AND THE FUCKING MARINES ARE THE DISGRACE!"

A man with half shaved head, a fluff of blond hair on the top, half sleeped eyes looked beside his captain at the scene unfolding. "She got spunk to say that in front the man who will become the pirate king."

The older man didn't say anything, interest wasn't that piqued at all by her appearance. She was delaying their war.

"LITTLE GIRL, YOU'VE NEVER BEEN IN THE NEW WORLD, WHAT DO YOU EVEN KNOW?"

It didn't take much for her to piece two with two together. It's starting to make sense why he asked such odd questions.

I think they all hate my guts now. Sakura unknowingly made an enemy out of all the pirate population, which she didn't expect to be this many.

"EVEN WEAKLINGS GIVE US LECTURE NOW?"

Weakling? That son of a- She wanted to wack the one who said that but she restrained herself.

"So you are telling me you are not related to this war?"

He didn't sound like he was buying it so she turned back and put her earnest tone. She couldn't afford being held down by pirates. Her matters were urgent. Kaguya could have killed Sasuke. She could start a war. She could make the world miserable. She could kill her village and friends. There were so many possibilities.

"No sir. I just want to know where Konoha is?"

There was silence for a long moment just her staring at him and him staring at her.

"Unfortunately, I do not know where Konoha is-"

She almost cursed.

"-so I'll have to ask you to leave."

She sighed, unable to hide her disappointment. If only she knew where she was, this could have made it easier. She licked her dry lips. "Can I ask where are we?"

Even though her question wasn't that odd, she didn't know why many seemed shocked and taken aback.

"... we are in marineford."

... where the heck was that? She sighed again, feeling her energy drain. Where did Kaguya send her? She looked around for clues. She couldn't see any land beyond the sea. With the hundred seal, she will survive but she didn't want to use it wastely here. She needed to fight Kaguya and that would need full force. Maybe she could wait after the fight finish then ask for one of their ships? However, she needed to make sure these people weren't enemies to konoha.

"Excuse me, may I ask why you are executing this young man?" That was the whole point of the war she assumed. He looked around her age but if he was heinous then she might assist them and then have them return the favor. It was a solid plan. Required less chakra.

Again, there was silence as if gauging the situation. Sakura knew he was under no obligation to tell her anything. She was just a stranger in the midst of this fight so to encourage another piece of information, she added, "I would like a ship to travel with so I'll help you if you are willing to give me one. I'm a doctor. "

He seemed unimpressed, he was hiding something deeper. "We don't need your assistance." It was cutthroat and shutting down any future offers she was going to make. "We will give you a ship as long as you don't get in the way."

Unfriendly people but she had no complaints if she could have an easier way out. She might as well get out of battlefield now since she achieved her goal. As she was walking out, three man in white ambushed her but Sakura managed to avoid their attacks.

What the? Sakura really, really didn't want to get involved in their war so she tried to reason with them again. If she made any rush move, there would be no turning back. "Please let me go, I don't want to harm anyone! I-"

"Don't hold it against us little girl, our leader told us to get rid of you as quickly as possible." The guy on the left pointed his sword at her, waiting for an opening. "You could be lying to us for all we know!"

That bastard! He was the one who told her to stay out of it now he was dragging her into it? She didn't want to get involved! "I swear I'm not a pirate... I don't even know why you are executing him!"

They gave each other side glances. One of them hesitated before shouting, his tone full of hatred. "We are going to execute Portgas. D. Ace because he is the son of the pirate King, Gold Roger!

He took a threatening step forward. "We will execute the evil bloodline of that criminal so little girl, get out of here. You are not fit to even be our ally!"

This time it was Sakura who was silent. He couldn't see it but the people who are perceptive could see her fists curling up, the way her eyes narrowed in such a sharp glare, the vein popping in her head. Even the snail started to hide back in its shell, peeking from underneath.

She resisted breaking the call in her hand, trying to make sure she understood their intentions well, she looked at the leader whom she talked too earlier. "You are saying, you are executing him because his father is a criminal?"

She wanted them to deny it because it sure as hell didn't make sense.

"Yes."

That was all it took for her angry to unleash. As the founder of a children hospital that asses and treat their mental health, this was infuriating. Lots of kids didn't have good background from war and among them were her teammates. They never had happy childhood. When she found out Sasuke's clan got massacred because they were going to coup, she cried her heart out. There were many children and elderly who weren't involved that were killed that night by Sasuke's brother. It took her a long time to find out the truth because Sasuke hid his pain well. When she found out people were treating Naruto like an outcast because of the kyuubi, she also cried. She always wished she could go back in time and fix her mistakes. It wasn't their fault that people gave them a hard time... so to hear this man was getting killed because of his father... of all reasons...

"What a load of bulllshit." Her stern voice resonated all over the bay, being heard by everyone and anyone. "How is this just? Would you call children as heroes just because their father is a hero? Would you hail a hero's children even if they murdered innocent citizens? Caused havoc? Destroyed lives?"

When she was met with silence, she yelled. "YOU WOULDN'T!"

The trio in front of her seemed annoyed that they started to swing their swords at her. Not taking her attention away from the executions platform, she continued, dodging their attacks.

"BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT THEIR PARENTS HAVE ACHIEVED HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THEIR CHILDREN!"

Face red with embarrassment, one of them charged right at her. As he got close, she side stepped his swing and with the back of her hand, she slapped him away. He dropped to the ground like a fly getting swatted, no longer concious.

Everyone just stared, some startled, some amused, some interested, some threatened.

"Same principle! His father's crimes is HIS FATHER'S CRIMES! It. Have. Nothing. To. Do. With. Him!" She stressed each word, finger pointing the air as if she was poking his chest. "A child bear no sin!"

Those five words were like a slap to Garp's face. It's Rogers's words...

"What are you doing? Get her!" Sengoku signaled frustratedly.

Ace hung head rose up, staring in curiosity. That speech... He could feel the back of his eyes burning... and unwillingly, tears welled up, sliding down his cheeks to his chin. This was the first time someone had said those words to him.

"Fucking bastards. Who thought this lame excuse of an execution was a good idea? I would like to speak to him."

Sengoku suddenly wished the broadcasting wasn't live. What she said might sway the public opinion so he had to do damage control. She played with his politics and that wasn't a good sign. Sengoku's previous gesture worked because a bunch of marines gathered, outnumbering her. "Portgas D. Ace committed heinous crimes! He is a pirate too, part of-"

"If you actually cared about justice, you would have said that from the beginning instead of coming up with a unrelated reason to incriminate him." From the corner of her eyes, on top of a wall, someone was heaving, laughing in a craze fit as he stepped forward too. He twirled, his pink, feather jacket fluttering with his movement.

"Fufufufu! This is getting so much interesting!" He was bad news, that much is clear. She should avoid him if she could.

I'm making so many enemies today! Sakura big mouth had done it again. "Listen up people in white," ten of them ran toward her-

Naruto... Sasuke... I'll do what you would have done if you were here. She already got involved in this war the moment she let her temper get the best of her. There was no escape, they will see her as an ally to the pirates even if she wasn't so she might as well switch teams. As long as I get a ship! I'll act now and think later!

"Portgas D. Ace will NOT be executed today and I'll make sure of that."

Her declaration caused the marine to hate her and for the pirates... to be suspicious of her. She have yet to realize the changes she have done to everyone's lives, including her own. This is the story of a new pirate.

Author's note: I'm hoping to upload once every week or two so you might get an update next Friday for anyone who wants a fixed schedule. I'll try to commit to that but no promises. Also Sakura isn't OP here. She will have her good and bad moments.
