A/N: Hey everyone, this is my first Lightspeed Rescue fanfic. So...to the reviewer who on several occasions asked me to do a Lightspeed Rescue, you've gotten your wish and now I'm writing Lightspeed Rescue. Hope that everyone likes it and if I don't update right away, its because I'm working on my other fanfics. I do have others that are in progress that need to be finished. Also, to the person who wants to know about my OC's education, I want you to know that it depends on which Power Ranger season I'm writing (this goes for all Power Ranger seasons to tell you the truth). For example, if I was writing the Mighty Morphin Power rangers, my oc would be in high school (if my oc was Justin's age, they would have either skipped a grade or be in the gifted program).

Also, any suggestions on what Jade's Megazord vehicle should be, please share it. Please be respectful, don't announce the next chapter title and no negativity. Happy reading, everyone!

I DO NOT OWN CHARACTERS OF POWER RANGERS LIGHTSPEED RESCUE! I ONLY OWN THE OC!

In honor of one episode only, this fanfic goes to the following:

Bert Kramer who played General McKnight

George 'Buck' Flower who played a homeless man

Bob Papenbrook who voiced a couple demons

The sun was setting on the sand dunes and footprints were made in the sand. Birds were heard over head and a group of men were on the search for something. "Haba, wait. I don't believe it. Tell me I'm not seeing a mirage." said one of the men.

"How about we go over there and see if we can…" said Haba and pulls the reins of the camel behind him. "Come, Dolores. There may be treasures."

They continued crossing the sand, towards the temple. "These ruins look thousands of years old." said one man.

"Do you see any water?" Haba asked as two of them looked down a well.

"Careful. If you fall, we may never see you again."

The leader of the group decided to take a rest, taking a sip of water from his canteen when he suddenly moved something. The others looked to see what was happening and a piece of the ruin was sliding back, causing a hole to open up in the ground. "Taru!" shouted Haba as he and his friend raced over to help.

Both men looked down into the hole that appeared, calling out for their friend. "Taru!" shouted Haba. Taru was under the sand as the light from the hole shone through to where he was standing. "Taru, are you all right?" he asked as Taru looks around and sees that he's in a crypt.

"Haba! I found the Ancient Tomb!" Taru shouted. "Light up the torches, my friend!

Once the torches were lit, Taru lit the tomb around him so that he and the others can see. "Come down. Come down quick." he said to the others as they came down the rope.

"Be careful."

"OOH! Get away."

Haba looks around at the tomb with wide eyes and walks over to a casket. He touches a necklace that's on the casket, laughing as he picks it up. "Look, there." someone said, causing the others to look in their direction. Haba sets down the torch he was holding and goes over to the other casket, knocking over the skeleton to get a better look.

Suddenly a knob on the casket moves on its own, scaring Haba and the others. The ancient tomb around them starts shaking. "We've got to get out of here." said Taru.

"Let's open it." said Haba.

"Wait! what if it…." said Taru.

"Help us or get out of our way!" ordered Haba and Taru listened. "Push! Push harder! Harder!"

They pushed the top of the casket off, unknowing releasing spirits that were trapped inside. An explosion happened, knocking them back into the wall as the spirits filled the room and flew out of the Ancient Tomb.

As the spirits flew over the city, people were minding their business until they started screaming when they noticed. Somewhere, a young woman was heading towards the boardroom to speak with her father. "These should be sufficient, but I'd like them double-checked." he said as his daughter walks up to him.

"Captain." she said as she approached him. "Something's come up."

He looks up at her and she nodded. "We'll finish this later." he said, dismissing everyone from the room.

"Father, they've escaped." she tells him.

"You're sure?" he asked as he goes over to the safe and takes out a case, before looking at his daughter. "It's time to bring them in."

Out in the runway, a plane up in the air was taking a nosedive with smoke trailing after it as the pilot was smiling at his fans. "Ladies and Gentlemen let's hear it for Joel Rawlings, the sky cowboy!" said the announcer.

Once he was on the ground, Joel was signing girls his autograph. "There you go." said Joel, clicking to one of the girls in front of him. "Who's next?"

"Next up will be Chico Page, followed by the Doug and Paul pipercub wing riders." said the announcer in the distance as two men in suits walk up to Joel.

"Joel Rawlings?" asked one of the men in suits. In a black car behind them, Dana Mitchell was watching them from afar.

"I was doing something important." Joel said to the men in suits.

On the side of the cliffs, a girl was rock climbing. She had just made it to the top when the men in suits approached her. "Kelsey Winslow?" he asked, causing her to look up. "Would you come with us, please?"

"Who in the world are you?" she asked.

At an aquarium attraction, a whale came out of the water with a man on its nose. "Well, I hope you've brought your umbrellas 'cause you're gonna get wet." said the announcer as both the whale and the man went back into the water. "That was Chad Lee, ladies and gentlemen! Yes, ha ha! Come on up, Daisy, and wave for the camera."

Chad swims over to the pool's edge and grabs a fish when the men in suits approached him. "Chad Lee?" asked the man.

Dana was in the car, looking at Chad's file and closes it. In a part of the city, a building was on fire. "All right, men, over there!" said one of the firemen. "All right, let's go!"

The men in suits walked to the last person they were sent to pick up. "I'm looking for Carter Grayson." said the man in the suit.

"That's him up there on the ladder." said the fireman, pointing up to the ladder.

"Closer! Closer!" Carter shouted to the others down below. Dana gets out of the car as police radio was heard around her and watches Carter jumps onto the balcony. She then looks down at his file.

"Hello! Is anyone in here?" asked Carter as he does a sweep of the floor. On the floor, a little girl was on the floor with her hand around her throat, gasping for air and coughing. "It's going to be okay, let's go." said Carter as he picks her up. "Right this way. Just stay close to me."

When he looks up, Carter sees that the hallway is blocked by fire. "What?" he asked, shocked that the path was blocked. Something appeared in the flames, laughing as it pushes the flame towards Carter and the girl. "Run!" shouted Carter as they ducked for cover. "Hang on tight!"

Suddenly a window smashes from the flames and Carter is out the window with the little girl in his arms. "What are you doing?" Carter asked Dana as she rushes over to him.

"I'm a paramedic." she tells him. "Don't worry. I'll take it from here."

"Okay, thanks." Carter replied.

"We need to get her to an ambulance!" shouted Dana and looks over at Carter. She then walks over to him by the firetruck. "I know this is a bad time, but I need you to come with me." she said.

The spirits were still flying over the city, gathering dark clouds in the sky. Above the clouds, there was a place and spirits were going in. "We're free to reclaim the palace of Queen Bansheera." said a monster.

"But she's not here." said the second one, then looks at the woman with wings on her back. "Vypra, we must care for her son Impus. Who did this, Loki?"

"Humans, Diabolico." said Loki. "They built their cities on top of our palace!"

"Have they?" Diabolico asked.

"Just look." Loki said and shows him the proof. "They built their ugly city on our sacred ground! No palace, no queen, no ultimate power."

"We will have our palace back after we destroy their miserable city brick by brick." vowed Diabolico.

A helicopter flying over the water and Carter looks out to see a submarine. "Don't tell me, we're going in that submarine, aren't we?" he asked as he was sitting next to Chad and Joel.

"Excellent!" said Kelsey as she gets a better look. The submarine's sonar was getting closer as it goes towards an underwater base.

"Civilian crew and authorized personnel have entered Lightspeed Aquabase." said a computerized voice. "Security clearances checked and confirmed."

On the way to the boardroom, Dana grabs a girl of 14 years old by the arm who was working on a program. "Ow! What did I do this time?" she asked.

"You'll see when we get there, Jade." said Dana.

"Where are we?" asked Chad.

"I don't know, but it's cool, huh?" asked Kelsey.

Joel walks over to some computers and starts pressing buttons, causing an alarm to go off. He tries to fix it with more button pushing. Dana then walks over to him, glaring as she stops the alarm and grabs him by his suspenders. Once Dana brings them to the boardroom, Captain Mitchell greets them. "Welcome to the Lightspeed Aquabase." he said.

"Pardon me." said Joel as he goes past Dana and Jade. "I don't know who you are, but this is illegal. This is kidnapping."

"Actually, she's the kid." said Dana, pointing to Jade.

"Whatever it is, I didn't do it. I swear, I learned my lesson the last time." said Jade, pleading with the captain. "Please don't tell my mom."

"You're not in trouble." Captain Mitchell tells her, and she physically relaxes, then turns back to face Joel. "I am Captain William Mitchell. None of you will be held against your will. You're free to go."

"See ya!" said Joel and walks away.

"That is…" said Captain Mitchell as someone else stops Joel in his tracks. "After you hear me out. Please, have a seat."

As they took their seats, Captain Mitchell begins to explain. "5,000 years ago, this part of the earth was inhabited by evil spirits…Demons, if you will…whose only purpose was to destroy and conquer."

[Flashback]

5,000 years before, the spirits were heading into the casket.

"Luckily there was a warlock who was strong enough to conquer them." said Captain Mitchell.

Once the demons were inside, the warlock entombs them, locking them away.

"Finally, the demons were captured and entombed, but we always feared that one day they would escape and would return to Mariner Bay."

Haba and his group are in the ancient tomb.

"Well, it seems our fears have come true. Just hours ago, nomad travelers crossing through the dessert discovered the tomb and released the demons back into our world."

[Flashback ends]

"Lightspeed has developed technology and highly sophisticated weapons that we believe can stop them." said Captain Mitchell as Dana shows them their files. "Because of your skills, you've been chosen to use these weapons to defend the city…to become Lightspeed Power Rangers."

"You built this whole Aquabase so that the five of us could fight off a bunch of angry demons?" asked Kelsey.

"Well, that's putting it simply, but yes." said the captain.

"Does she know that I'm even down here?" asked Jade.

"She recommended you for the job." Captain Mitchell tells her.

"Oh." said Jade.

"I heard you out. I think you're nuts. I'm out of here." said Joel, standing up from the table.

"Wait!" said Carter, causing Joel to stop. "That explains it."

"What?" asked Dana.

"That fire." he replied, remembering what he saw. "When I was saving that girl, I saw someone in the flames. it was one of them…one of the demons."

"Father." said Dana as she turns to him. Suddenly the telephone beeps behind her.

"Mitchell here."

"You need to see this sir."

"Bring it up on the monitor." he tells him. On the monitor, a building explodes, and fire erupts in the city. Demons were flying throughout the city, proving on the monitor that they were real. The ground shakes as people ran in panic. Rubble fell on top of people.

"This city needs you." said Captain Mitchell as he looks at the others.

"I'm in, sir." said Carter.

"Me, too." said Kelsey.

"I want to help." said Chad.

"I'll do it." said Jade. They all looked over at Joel, waiting for his answer.

"What do we do first?" he asked. Captain Mitchell opens a case that's sitting on the table and shows the others. Inside the case were six morphers.

"These are your Rescue Morphers." he said as the five of them picks up their morpher. "They're worn on your wrist."

"Feels like a bracelet." said Jade as she puts hers on. Dana looks down at the case and sees the sixth morpher still there.

"Six?" she asked.

"You are the sixth." he said.

"Me?"

"For 18 years, I have been training you for this." answered Captain Mitchell, finally showing her file. "Its yours…if you want it."

Dana nodded her head with a smile on her face as she joins the others. "All right, rangers, time to get to work." said Captain Mitchell.

"These are your jackets." said Dana as she and Jade lead the others to where they were hanging. "Grab one."

Another alarm goes off as they head to a jeep. "Whoa, this is hype." said Joel.

"Wow." said Kelsey.

"Start it." said Dana.

"All set."

Through the tunnel of the Aquabase, Carter drives the truck to the surface. Out in the city, the fire and his demons started to create havoc. "Batlings, we've waited a long time for this." he said. "Destroy them!"

Screeching, Carter and the others arrived at the chaos, watching it unfold. "Come on, lets go help those people." said Carter.

"Right!" said the others as they got out of the truck. They then started going after the Batlings. "Run! Go!" Kelsey shouted to the group of people, hiding.

"Go! Go!" shouted Chad. The fire monster looks up and sees Carter driving towards him with Jade in the truck, shooting at him.

"Too fast, too fast!" said Jade as she leans back in the seat until Carter turns it around and brings the truck to a halt. "I think I'm gonna be sick."

The fire monster comes up to the truck and attacks Carter, throwing him out of the truck window. He was thrown against a tree as the others were getting beat up by the Batlings. Carter struggles to stand up. "They're too strong for us." said Carter.

"Rangers, use your morphers." said Captain Mitchell as he watches from the base. Carter and the others nodded in understanding.

"Hey, you with the hot temper." Carter called out and the fire monster turns to face him. "You want to destroy Mariner Bay? You'll have to go through us do it!"

"Ready?"

"LIGHTSPEED…RESCUE!"

A shield comes up and goes through them, placing their ranger colors on them. "Power Rangers?" asked the monster as they go onto the other side of him.

"All right!" said Carter as the people of Mariner Bay exclaimed in joy.

"Whoa! It worked!" said Chad as he looks down at his blue suit.

"This feels incredible!" said Kelsey as she looks down at her yellow suit.

"Cool!" said Jade as she looks at her purple suit.

"This is what we needed. Let's get to work!" said Carter.

"Hyah!"

"Batlings, destroy them!" ordered the monster.

"Power Rangers Rescue Ready!" shouted the rangers and went straight for the Batlings. The citizens watched from behind a car as the rangers fought their enemy. "Hey, over here!" shouted Carter, drawing the monster's attention to him.

"You're toast…burnt toast!" said the monster as it fires a ball of fire at him. Carter fires his weapon at him. Just then, Dana and Chad joins him, firing both of their weapons as well as the monster.

"Ready…" said Carter as the rest of the rangers followed suit. "Aim…"

"You aint got the guts!" shouted the monster.

"Fire!" shouted Carter and all six rangers fired their weapons at the monster, destroying him and holstered their weapons

"Lightspeed power down!" they shouted and powered down. Everyone cheered as the monster was finally destroyed. Back at the Aquabase, scientists and engineers cheered as the six of them walked through the base.

"Its no problem. I'll show you the move." Joel said. "Let him show up again and see what happens!"

"There is a time to celebrate, but this is not it." said Captain Mitchell. "You see, now Diabolico knows that you exist. You think this fight was tough? Just wait."

"But, sir, we just destroyed Diabolico, didn't we?" asked Kelsey.

"Oh, no." he said. "That was just one of his monsters. You want to defeat him? You've got a lot of work to do." He then looks around the room. "We all do!"

Dana salutes her father, causing everyone to follow suit.
