Sumeragi Kaguya was very excited while looking at the streets of the Tokyo settlement from her limousine, she did not expect a letter from a person who had died seven years ago, she would meet a friend who she thought she had lost long ago.

Her father's old friend, Kihara Taizo, thought it was not a good idea for her to come alone to Tokyo, or as lonely as she can be by always carrying a couple of bodyguards, he thought it might be a Britannia trap since they could be discovered that they secretly supported terrorism and that they would attack her for being the youngest.

But she knew it wasn't a trap, after all Britannia believed that her friend had died years ago and if they knew she was alive there would be a big announcement.

Her excitement reached a new level when she saw the Ashford Academy. Entering the campus of the Academy, she saw the gardens and the different buildings that made it up.

She opened the window and heard the murmur of the students, for the large number of students who attended this academy it could be said that she was calm.

Kaguya was jealous of them, she always wanted to go to school like a normal girl but the invasion of Britannia had made that possibility an impossible dream for her and for millions of Japanese.

The limousine pulled up in front of a large mansion, and a Japanese woman in a maid outfit stood at the door to greet her.

Kaguya frowned, she despised how Britannia treated the Japanese as if stealing their country and name was not enough for them, but she calmed her anger, Kaguya knew that her friend was not like the others in Britannia, her friend was an of the kindest people I had ever met.

Kaguya stepped out of the limo elegantly, her pink kimono with white and red ornaments giving a glimpse of elegance that had not been seen since the war. Kaguya was very proud to call herself Japanese and expressed it in her way of dressing, it was her way of saying that she had not forgotten her origins despite the fact that this brought her many problems with the agents of Britannia.

Her silky black hair like a starless night and long to the end of her back moved with a soft wind that blew.

"It is an honor that you accepted the invitation, Sumeragi-sama," said the maid in a respectful tone as she bowed.

"It would be impossible to reject it" Kaguya replied with a smile.

"Please follow me" said the maid before opening the door and entering.

The maid led them inside the mansion without saying anything else, which was elegant but not as elegant as the ones Kaguya had seen earlier.

The maid stopped in front of a door, turned around, and leaned down to whisper Kaguya in her ear.

The guards on seeing her tensed, but Kaguya dismissed it with a sign.

"Please, I ask you not to use the real last name of my princess" she whispered, and then opened the door.

The room was a modest but elegant dining room with a large table and a window that let in daylight bathing everything inside.

There in front of the window was a girl in a wheelchair; the light seemed to bathe her and gave her an air of peace, her long brown hair up to her waist, her hands clasped in her lap but what most caught Kaguya's attention was her gaze, light violet eyes that looked at her with such intensity that took her breath away for a second.

Kaguya came out of her stupor and without paying attention to years of education ran to the girl and hugged her.

"It's good to finally see you, Kaguya" Nunally said softly.

"It is good to see that she is alive, Nunally" she said, standing up again.

"I must say that you are prettier than my brother said" Nunally joked as Kaguya took a seat next to her.

"Oh, Lelouch said I was cute?" Kaguya replied blushing slightly and joking back "It is good that now you can appreciate my cuteness in all its splendor"

They both laughed for a while, spoke of trivia. Sayoko served them tea, while Kaguya dispatched her guards when she felt that Nunally wanted some privacy since she had done the same with the maid.

"I can say you didn't invite me just to talk about my cuteness" Kaguya started.

"No, that is not the main purpose for which I wanted to talk to you" the princess replied before having some tea "But I really wanted to see my friend regardless of the topic that is coming"

Kaguya's smile increased, at least Nunally didn't just want to see her because she was one of the Kyoto families.

"I need your help" Nunally said, and her face took on a serious expression.

"What would that be so important as to ask one of the six Kyoto families?" Kaguya replied smiling, but it was not the same smile she had before, it was the false smile she always used when was in meetings with the others families.

"I want to make a world where my brother and I can live without having to hide from Britannia" Nunally said with a seriousness that Kaguya had never seen in her, she always remembered the princess as a soft and kind girl but the vision before her contradicted what she believed.

"You know what you're saying" Kaguya's smile had completely disappeared "You will become a terrorist"

The smile that appeared on Nunally's face made Kaguya shudder, it was cold, emotionless, totally false.

"No, you're wrong" Nunally said softly, making her friend shudder again "I have a more effective method"

"I don't think you can beat Zero-sama" Kaguya replied with his fake smile "I'm betting that he's going to be the one to liberate Japan"

"I want to make a world where Zero is not necessary" the harshness in the princess's voice surprised Kaguya "I will tell you Zero's identity and after you confirm it I want you to help me"

"Zero's identity!" Kaguya shouted in her mind, as it was possible that Nunnally knew that, Zero had only appeared once and not even her best agents had managed to get at least a trace of him.

"What do you want?" Kaguya's voice was flat without any hint of emotion.

"I want you to support a proposal that Britannia will give to Area 11 in a few months" Kaguya did not expect that but before could respond Nunnally continued "If you do that I promise that the emperor will liberate Japan"

Kaguya rose from his chair abruptly and gave the princess a cold look.

"It is not funny, Vi Britannia, that the same man who invaded my land is the same man who liberated it is not at all funny" if looks killed Nunally I would be dead at that very moment.

Nunally only smiled choosing to ignore that Kaguya had called her by her real last name.

"I only ask that the six houses in Kyoto detach from Zero and stop supporting his when Japan is free"

The Japanese girl sighed and sat down again, she didn't understand why her friend didn't like Zero.

"Why against Zero? Are there worse terrorists than he?" asked Kaguya.

"Lelouch" Kaguya could barely hear Nunally's whisper.

"Lelouch?" What her brother had to do with Zero, Kaguya did not understand.

"Lelouch is Zero"

o-o-o

Nunally was watching the news.

The night before she had reunited with Suzaku, they had a joyous dinner catching up on everything that had happened after they separated.

Suzaku had told them that he was now working in a development department and that was why he was now not in as much danger.

It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't true either. Nunally knew that.

Now she was seeing the trap, or invitation as CC-san had told her how Lelouch called it, that her sister Cornelia put Zero on the pretext of eliminating terrorists who were hiding in the Saitama ghetto.

They even gave the time.

She left the dining room and went to the entrance and as expected Lelouch came downstairs with a suitcase.

"I'm going out for a few hours, Nunnally" Lelouch said calmly "I don't think I'll get until late at night, so don't wait for me for dinner"

"Onii-sama" whispered the princess.

"Are you okay?" Lelouch asked worried when he came to be in front of his sister.

"If I asked you to stay with me, would you do it?" she asked.

She shouldn't be asking for this, she had promised Sayoko and Kaguya that she would liberate Japan, but if Lelouch told her that he would stay by her side, that he would not be Zero again, she would leave everything, including her promises to be with him.

"I will always be with you Nunnally" Lelouch said while caressing her sister's head.

"I know you're doing something dangerous, Onii-sama" Lelouch's caress stopped "If I asked you to stop doing it, to run away with me to some place where Britannia would never find us, would you do it?"

She needed to know the answer, she needed to know that her brother loved her more than his revenge against Britannia.

"I can't" those words broke Nunnally's heart "Don't worry, when this ends we will live in peace without fear that Britannia will find us"

"Sure" she said as Lelouch hugged her, her words sounded weak "I love you, Lelouch"

"I love you too" Lelouch said a little disconcerted, Nunally always called him Onii-sama.

Lelouch felt comforted, he did this for her, he was glad to know that she still love him, although in these last weeks he had not been much with her.

He was already leaving, but before leaving Nunally spoke again

"Don't forget Lelouch" Nunally said separating from him "No matter what happens, no matter what you do, I will always love you"

With no time to respond, the door had already closed.

0-0-0

Lelouch was in a tunnel under the Saitama ghetto, the terrorists fell prey to fear and stopped obeying his orders. If he had had loyal soldiers like in Shinyuku he would have beaten Cornelia.

"Why did you save me?" I ask the person in front of him.

"I already told you" CC said as she took off Zero's mask "If you die it would be bad for me"

"Conditions were the same, I shouldn't have lost!" Lelouch replied.

"You are a bad loser" CC replied playing with Zero's mask "Maybe you were wrong when choosing this"

"What are you talking about?" Lelouch asked.

"Apparently you are not as smart as you think you are," the green hair girl scoffed as she continued on her way.

Lelouch had long ago stopped trying to understand what CC was saying.

He came home late that night so he just went to sleep.

It was the next day that he realized something was wrong.

Lelouch got up from the sofa where she slept, thanks to CC having taken his bed, he did his routine of a normal morning. That day he was going to use the geass on corrupt nobles to get the base for his new resistance group, The Black Knights.

When he went down to breakfast found that something or rather someone was missing Sayoko-san was not there, she always got up earlier than Lelouch and he always saw her in the kitchen preparing breakfast, but did not see her anywhere.

He didn't worry too much, maybe she was waking up Nunally.

Seeing that it was getting late to go to class Lelouch decided to go to his sister's room.

As he entered the room a weight formed in his stomach, the room was empty.

Lelouch ran looking for his sister throughout the mansion. With each passing minute his fear grew.

"Had someone from Britannia found her? Was she kidnapped?" were some of the questions he asked himself.

"WITCH!" Lelouch shouted when enter his bedroom.

CC, who was still sleeping, jumped up.

"What is it?" she said while rubbing the eyes "Some people like to sleep until later"

The boy approached her and took her by the shoulders.

"Have you seen Nunnally?!" Lelouch asked desperately.

Seeing CC's confused face, he took his cell phone and called Milly, she and her grandfather used the contacts they had to try to find her sister but it was difficult to search for Nunnally without revealing her true identity, they couldn't go to the police and they couldn't give much details about it and that made people suspicious.

The entire student council joined the search, even Suzaku said he would search within the military just in case they had discovered it, but nothing paid off.

Days had passed without Lelouch knowing anything about his sister, she had somehow managed to keep his facade as Zero intact.

The Order of the Black Knights had been fighting crime and its popularity had been rising.

There was also the incident with Kallen's mother and the refrain drug.

He had used the geass to ask several nobles who had high positions in Area 11 but still had not found his sister, it is as if he had disappeared into thin air.

Now he was in a meeting with the black knights.

Apparently Cornelia had found the Japanese Liberation Front that were hiding in the Narita Mountains, it was the perfect opportunity to return what happened in Saitama.

Kyoto had given them an experimental Knightmare called Guren MK-II, their specialty was close combat, their right arm was a metal bar that when capturing their enemy, fired a radiation wave that caused the Knightmares it touched to explode, in a very great Lelouch had to admit.

Kallen was the only option to handle that engineering work.

Kyoto had also given Buria that it would come as the Japanese counterpart to the Sutherlands, the problem was how to transport all these Knightmares to Narita without Britannia realizing it and that is why this meeting.

"If we use route 8 and then distract the police we could go undetected," Ohgi suggested.

"But that would take us a long time" Tamaki replied "we wouldn't be in time to kick Britannia's butt"

There were several suggestions, but Lelouch did not care, he already knew what to do to get there undetected, the most important thing was to get to Cornelia he needed to ask for Nunnally, he would not let it be taken from him like his mother.

The sound of his cell phone brought him out of his thoughts, everyone stopped his discussion and looked at him.

Zero took out his cell phone elegantly and looked at the screen, it was Suzaku.

He couldn't leave without seeming to be hiding something, this was a gathering of the circle closest to Zero within the black knights, leaving meant that he still didn't trust them; Which was true, but it was counterproductive for them to know that.

He apologized and answered the call.

He couldn't afford to miss a call from Suzaku, maybe it was something related to Nunnally and apparently he wasn't wrong.

"Turn on the TV, fast!" Suzaku yelled desperately, so much so that the other people in the room heard it too.

Zero signaled to Kallen and she turned on the television, the programming had been interrupted to announce an announcement from the emperor.

On the screen they could see a great room lined with gold and the most exquisite curtains that money could buy.

The announcer's voice carried that tone of arrogance and militarism characteristic of Britannia news anchors.

From what Lelouch could see it was a high-level advertisement, he could see almost all of his brothers present except Euphie and Cornelia, all Knights of Rounds.

Almost always his brothers did not attend the emperor's announcements unless they needed something, not to mention the Rounds, the only one who attended those events was the Round of One who was the emperor's personal bodyguard.

That was strange to Lelouch, there wasn't some extraordinary event that made all those people attend something like that.

"I'm flying to the Motherland right now with Euphie and Princess Cornelia," he heard Suzaku say low enough that no one except Lelouch would hear him.

Cornelia was also going? What would happen to the operation in Narita against the JLF?

All meeting attendees were watching TV.

"Not all are born equal" the emperor began with a powerful tone "Some are born poor, others are born rich, some have talent and others are just mediocre"

Everyone in the room tensed, it was Darwinian ideology that had caused Britannia to invade most of the world, including Japan.

"Inequality is not bad, just as equality is stagnation" continued the emperor "Those who are strong will stand out over the weak, this is nature, this is the world and that is why Britannia differs from the EU and the Chinese Federation, we fight, compete and evolve to be the best, and the proof of this came to me a few days ago"

The emperor raised his left arm and someone entered the stage.

Lelouch's breathing stopped, he was lucky to wear Zero's mask to help him hide his disbelief.

Unlike Kallen, everyone could see her reaction by seeing her there.

In a wheelchair Nunnally entered the stage in a pink and white dress, with a fuchsia bow adorning her chest and a butterfly choker on her neck.

Apparently they were not the only ones surprised, the nobles, the Knight of Rounds and their own brothers seemed surprised to see her.

Lelouch dropped the cell phone, his mind was in chaos questions were asked and answered, theories until he came to just one question.

How had his sister been found by the empire and he not? Nunally didn't come out of Ashford Academy much, they were more likely to find him than her.

But before more theories were formulated in his head the Emperor's voice stopped him.

"My daughter, Nunally vi Britannia, whose ability to see and walk was taken away" continued the emperor, although his tone of voice could be heard the pride when talking about his daughter "She went through the war in Japan like that and survived, now she's back as a strong and smart girl"

Lelouch clenched his teeth, he couldn't lose the composure in front of the black knights, but he also couldn't leave the place until the transmission ended.

He hated his father, as he dared to speak of Nunnally as if she were her daughter, as if he loved her, he was the one who took them to Japan and then abandoned them when the war broke out.

"She is the clear example of how Britannia evolves, of how the weakest person in our empire could overcome things that other people could not and become strong" Nunnally was to the left of the emperor with a serene face, without smiling but also without frown "We are not all born equal and our circumstances can put us in an unfavorable position, but although Britannia is the strongest empire in history we must not forget that we must continue to improve by evolving, we cannot stop marching forward or we will end up like the EU and the Chinese Federation"

The emperor stepped aside to make way for Nunnally, Lelouch thought it strange, his sister had always been a little shy when meeting new people, but seeing her sitting there in front of all those nobles and being seen by everyone, Nunnally seemed to be in her element, as if she was born to do that, she showed incredible confidence and mettle. Lelouch's heart skipped a beat, he hadn't noticed how much his sister had grown, Nunnally would always be his little sister, but seeing her on such a big stage without showing any fear towards the people who once laughed at them made him feel I'm proud of her.

His little sister was becoming a woman and was moving away from him, that hurt more than he expected.

"We are not all the same" Nunnally began with a soft and calm voice, without fear or stutter and with remarkable confidence "We are all born in different circumstances and have different lives, for me I could not see or walk for seven years"

Lelouch knew that Nunnally's life had not been easy, during the invasion of Japan she told him several times to leave her, that he had a better chance of surviving if he didn't have a burden like her. Lelouch always told her that he would never leave her side that he would always be with her and she never have to not worry about it.

Kallen for her part was surprised to see that the sweet girl she met on the student council was a princess of Britannia, how someone so sweet could be the daughter of that man. Hearing her speech, Kallen thought that Nunnally also shared the same mentality as her father, she felt cheated.

"But with effort and hard work everyone can become strong, we are not all the same, that's true my late brother Clovis was not good at leading an army" Zero snorted hearing that and the other black knights laughed "But he was a great artist while no, my sister Cornelia is the best general in Britannia, people are different and they stand out in different fields, that's why we are all different"

Nunnally paused and looked at the entire audience, expecting someone to contradict her, but no one would rise up against a princess of Britannia.

"Britannia is falling into decline" the princess dropped that bomb in an international transmission and with the emperor aside "I have witnessed the corruption that plagues our great empire, as the nobles take advantage of ordinary citizens, such as the high command Military accept bribes, as Britannia citizens take advantage of Honorary Citizens, this is not the great empire I came out of seven years ago, this Britannia is just gross"

It was easy to say that everyone was in shock, literally.

She was a princess of Britannia saying what everyone knew was going on in Britannia but what no one said.

"But not all the people of Britannia are like that, I have seen people from Britannia who are worthy to stand tall and say that they are workers and that they do everything possible to make Britannia a better empire" Nunnally continued ignoring the glances of hatred that were beginning to appear among the public "Britannia has become lazy, corrupt and completely stagnant"

Nunnally turned to her father, who was looking at her with a cold gaze.

"That is why I am back." Nunnally turned to the cameras and her warm violet eyes, unlike her father's which were cold, seemed to look into people's hearts. " I came back to help Britannia to evolve again"

She paused again for her words to settle in the audience.

"And as an example of that I will take charge of Viceroy in the newly conquered area 18 and make it the most productive Area in the entire empire" I declare with force.

The recently conquered by Cornelia Area 18, formerly called Saudi Arabia, was basically in the process of reconstruction, although Britannia won the war, Area 18 was still unstable and that attracts terrorism, in addition to the geographical position in which it is located is difficult working on it, saying that it would make it the most productive in the empire was a very high bet.

"Those who want to strive for a better life and make Britannia a stronger and more just empire do not hesitate to look for me" declared the princess in a soft voice "I will not allow Britannia to drown more in laziness than it is already"

With that Nunnally moved away from the microphone, ending her speech, nobody immediately applauded and she did not care, she knew that she had made many enemies with that speech.

The Empress smiled, it was going to be a challenge to improve Britannia to the point that black knights are not needed, she didn't know if it would be easier or more difficult than when she took the throne after her brother's death, but what she already knew is she would achieve her goal. After all, it was not for nothing that she was the demon emperor's little sister, the only person who managed to dominate the world.

Author's Notes: I hope you like this chapter, I like to write Nunnally more aggressively against her counterpart in the anime.

The story from here will change a lot with respect to the Cannon but it will still contain important events necessary, my goal is to give more prominence to secondary characters who had a long time on screen but who seemed interesting enough, such as the Knight of the Round.

Basically the Nunnally of this story was what I expected from Nunnally in the movie Lelouch of the Re; surrection, but as almost always happens in the movies of a popular anime it was a total disappointment, so I will follow this story as if that movie did not existed.

I hope you enjoy what my mind tells me to write, but it doesn't tell me how to write it.
