Link took a running leap off the cliff near the Muwo Jeem shrine and brought out his paraglider, soaring toward Eventide Island- he needed rupees for some ancient arrows and he figured a few runs of Mimo's flight course would net him the worth of four or five silver rupees even with the red rupee entry fee. Thunder cracked as he flew and rain started pouring and the Sheikah Slate confirmed thunderstorms for the next four hours. "Great," he muttered. Hopefully he'd pass through it quickly. Suddenly, the Slate's map vanished like a sandstorm had sprung up. That... was worrying. Just to be safe he equipped the Thunder Helm and adjusted his paraglider course slightly. He quickly found his mistake in not turning back when winds began slamming him left and right, and his stamina was close to running out. He quickly drank an Enduring Elixir- his last stamina-boosting food item, unfortunately- and hung on for dear life, shutting his eyes. As suddenly as it had come, though, the storm vanished, and as Link opened his eyes, he nearly let go of the paraglider. A shining city rose before him, the buildings made entirely of metal and stone. He gaped at the sheer size of it and turned a bit to the left so he was flying alongside the city. One of the buildings rose remarkably taller than the others and Link was overcome by an urge to climb it… but then he realized he was tired... weak... and his hand slipped from the paraglider as he plummeted. Link braced himself for the impact and gripped the Master Sword and Hylian Shield, praying to Hylia that Mipha's Grace would work. His eyes closed, the beach rushed up to meet him, and he heard the sickening thud of his body hitting the sand at high speed as Mipha's soft call embraced him.

Percy grinned as he disarmed the new Ares camper fighting him, wiping the sweat off his forehead and capping Riptide. "Same time tomorrow?" the camper smirked.

"You bet," Percy replied with a grin as he drank some water.

"Percy!" Annabeth's voice called. He turned to see the daughter of Athena running up to him and he decided to meet her halfway.

"What's wrong?" he asked after she stopped panting.

"There's someone on the beach, and I don't recognize them. I figured since it's only been a few days since the whole Kronos thing it wasn't safe to check it out alone and you and Clarisse were the first two I thought to bring. She's waiting at the Big House," Annabeth explained.

Percy nodded as he finished off his cup of water. He threw it away before running with Annabeth to the House, where Annabeth explained what they were doing to Chiron, who immediately offered to come.

Annabeth declined, explaining, "I'm sure the three of us can handle it, and if this person is dangerous then I'd rather you be here to lead the rest of the campers than be injured yourself."

Chiron eventually nodded and the heroes ran off. "There!" Clarisse pointed eventually. "Is that them?"

Annabeth looked and nodded.

"I think he's hurt," Percy commented. Annabeth rolled her eyes.

"You think?" she muttered and approached the stranger cautiously. He was dressed in a sky blue tunic with light trousers and some weird gold headpiece with a circle of lightning bolts on the back. A weird tablet of some kind hung from his hip and there was a sword in a rich purple hilt and a navy shield emblazoned with a symbol Annabeth didn't recognize on his back. The sword, Annabeth noticed, seemed to hum with an ancient energy. "Clarisse, Percy, come help me get him to the Big House."

"You sure?" Clarisse asked. "We don't know him. He could be an agent of Kronos, although he definitely isn't a demigod."

"We also can't leave him for the harpies tonight," Annabeth pointed out. "Besides, his-"

"Gh..." the stranger moaned. "Hello?" he propped himself up and took off the headpiece, putting it into a bag where it somehow fit. Annabeth elected not to question it.

"Hey, there, you okay?" she asked.

"No. Very not okay," he muttered, spitting out sand. "If Mipha hadn't been there I'd be a stain on the sand."

"Mipha?" Annabeth asked.

"N... never mind," he shook his head, blinking from the sun. "I'm... actually, you're not part of the Yiga Clan, right?"

"The what?" Annabeth raised an eyebrow.

"Your confusion tells me enough. I'm Link. You?"

"Oh, I'm Annabeth, that's Percy, and she's Clarisse. How'd you, uh, get here? Not many people show up without knowing what's here."

"Well, funny story. There's this island called Eventide Island, and I was paragliding over to see if I could get some rupees, and on my way over I got caught in a storm and now I'm here... wherever here is."

"Manhattan? I feel like that's kind of obvious with the skyscrapers and all?" Percy commented.

"Never... heard of it. Also, what in Hylia's name is a skyscraper?"

"...We should get him to Chiron," Clarisse decided.

"Agreed. C'mon, I'll show you to the Big House," Annabeth offered her hand, which Link accepted, pulling himself up. Annabeth was momentarily surprised by his strong grip. Link stumbled a bit before finding his footing but smiled at Percy and Clarisse.

"After you, milady," Link smiled with a mock bow toward Annabeth. Percy frowned.

"I see somebody's jealous for his girlfriend," Clarisse teased.

"Sh-shut up, Cl-Clarisse," Annabeth stammered, her cheeks hot.

"Okay, apparently silly exaggerated chivalry is grounds for romantic conflict now," Link rolled his eyes and adjusted his shield.

Clarisse chuckled. "Big House is this way," she waved Link over and they began walking, Percy and Annabeth following at a short distance. Link kept darting his head around to look at everything, but mostly at Manhattan and the cabins.

"Those buildings over there," he eventually said, pointing at the cabins. "What are they for?"

"They're the cabins for the campers here. We're building more because we've had a large influx of new campers since a big battle recently."

"Battle?" Link was interested.

"Yeah, against- well, I'd rather not say just yet. You seem like a nice guy, but, well, I'd rather not reveal literally everything without proof that you're trustworthy," Clarisse shrugged.

Link nodded. "I understand. Last time I did that they turned out to be a member of the Yiga Clan and tried to kill me."

"What is this Yiga Clan you keep talking about?" Clarisse asked. "And more importantly, are they dangerous to us?"

"They're a group that basically worships this demon king called Calamity Ganon and they'll kill anyone who opposes him, and I'm quite literally prophesied to defeat him, so... well, I'm sure you can draw the connection."

"Yeesh, sounds rough," Clarisse gave him an unenvious nod.

"It isn't too bad, so long as I don't talk to anyone I don't recognize who isn't on a horse away from settlements."

"Hm," Clarisse nodded. "I take it they don't like horses."

"I think it's more that horses don't like them," Link chuckled.

Clarisse gave him a side grin. "Well, we're here. Chiron should be inside." They waited for Percy and Annabeth before walking in.

"Chiron, this is our visitor, Link. Link, our activities director and de facto leader, Chiron."

"Nice to meet you, Link," he was greeted by the centaur, who stuck out his hand for a handshake to a suddenly slightly wary Link, who quickly eased up at seeing his lack of weaponry.

"Sorry, I, uh... well, I thought you were a Lynel for a moment," he explained as he shook the centaur's hand.

"A what?" Chiron asked curiously.

"A Lynel... They're a kind of incredibly smart and incredibly deadly monster and I've had to defend myself from several throughout the past few months. I'm a little surprised you haven't heard of them..." Link frowned.

"Hey, Link, I meant to ask you about your sword earlier... It's got some kind of weird energy coming from it. Do you mind... showing it to me."

"The Master Sword? Sure, I guess." He pulled the blade from its scabbard. The hilt was a soft purple while the blade glowed bright blue and hummed with an almost godly energy.

"Dang, what's that made of?" Percy asked, instinctively reaching for Riptide. "Even Riptide doesn't glow like that and it's forged from pure celestial bronze."

"Celestial bronze?" Link asked, interested.

"Why don't we go outside before something breaks?" Chiron suggested with a light chuckle. "We can show our guest the blacksmith and the rest of the camp."

"Probably a good idea," Annabeth laughed.

"You're gonna trust me just like that?" Link cocked his head slightly as they walked out.

"You have the air of a hero," Chiron explained.

"He'd know, he's trained quite a few," Annabeth explained.

Link nodded. "I take it you've lived a long time, too?"

"Several millenia, yes," Chiron cast a somewhat melancholy look.

Link gave a small smile. "So what's this celestial bronze you were talking about?" he asked Percy uncapped Riptide to show him. "It's a special metal from Olympus that can turn monsters to dust if they're struck with it."

"Sweet Hylia, that's cool," Link chuckled.

"Hylia?" Chiron mused.

"You know... the Goddess? Creator of Hyrule?" Link stepped back a bit, holding his shield out.

"There's no such goddess that I'm aware of," Chiron frowned.

"I... But... Aren't you all Hylians?" Link asked the demigods.

"No, we're demigods... Half human, half god," Annabeth explained.

"But... Hylia... What... god?" Link asked, preparing to use Urbosa's Fury if necessary. "And what's a human?"

"The god or goddess is different for each, but I'm a daughter of Athena, goddess of wisdom, Percy's a son of Poseidon, god of the sea, and Clarisse is a daughter of Ares, god of war. And aren't you human?"

"Annabeth, I don't think he has a clue who any of them are," Chiron's frown hardened.

Link shook his head and looked around with increasing panic and swallowed. He crouched, steeling his legs, and a heavy updraft of wind began blowing. Annabeth took a step back as Link leapt into the air and pulled his paraglider out. He only glided back a little before dropping down and holding out the Master Sword and holding his shield up, prompting a clear red ball to form around him, shielding him. "I... I don't know what you are. I... I don't... Oh, Hylia, Zelda. I've gotta get back to her..." Link started panicking and just fled. Chiron galloped after the swordsman.

"Link, wait!" he called, but he grabbed a glass bottle out of his bag with a blue liquid, drank it, and started running faster. When he came to a hill, he hopped on his shield and began sledding down, jumping over the rocks in his way and avoiding campers with impressive skill. Once he got to the beach he paused, and pulled out the tablet on his hip and aimed it at the water, forming a block of ice then climbing on it, then forming another block and jumping to it, and repeating the process for quite some time before a wave swept him back to shore. Percy had used his hydrokinesis quite effectively. Link sputtered as he got to shore.

"Link, we aren't going to hurt you, I promise. We're as confused as you are," Chiron attempted to comfort him.

"You don't understand! Zelda's in trouble and she can't hold Ganon back for much longer! I've got to get to Hyrule Castle now!" he panicked, pushing away Chiron's offered hand.

"LINK." Chiron grabbed his shoulder. "Whoever this Zelda is, you panicking and running off into the ocean isn't going to help any. Why don't we go back to the Big House, and then you can explain what's going on and we'll try to present our... world, I suppose, to you."

"Alright," Link nodded and stood up.

"I wanna know about that tablet of yours," Annabeth commented, gazing curiously.

"I'll explain when it's time," Link sighed.
