Cait's Secret

Caitlin Snow has a secret that no one knows about. Nothing she is ashamed about. But has never been able to tell her friends about. What happens when it is discovered by the one person she didn't want to find out. Set after episode 1 of season 4 but there is no DeVoe since I have no idea to how to write him well. Nothing after episode 1 happened the same. Will become SNOWBARRY!

Author's Note While everything up through the end of season 3 happened and Caitlin did work in the bar while she was finding herself. She did not work as Amunet's muscle.

Prolog Two years before the particle accelerator explosion.

She held the small bundle in her arms. She smiled at the baby. A baby that she had not been expecting to have at this point in her life. Especially not the way it happened. But she wasn't going let the tragic way her beautiful baby girl came into her life stop her from loving her. She looked up when her mother walked in.

"Mom."

"Have you made a decision about the baby?"

"I'm keeping her mom. I know you may not agree. But it is my choice."

"Caitlin, you do know how hard it is going to be for you to raise a child on your own."

"Yes mom. I am not expecting any help from you."

"Well then you are in for a surprise. I will pay for a nanny to help you. Caitlin dispute what you believe I do love you."

"I know mom."

"So what are you naming your daughter?"

Caitlin thought for a moment.

"Elizabeth Grace Snow."

One year later

"Caitlin, why can't you just stay here to work?"

"Mom, if I stay here I will never know if what I doing is because of me or if it is because I am your daughter. I am moving to Central City and taking the job at STAR Labs. I understand if you don't like it."

"I don't like it. I don't trust that Harrison Wells. But it is your life. I will still pay for a nanny if you need me too."

"Thanks mom."

A week later Caitlin started her new job in a city she knew no one. She was working in the bio lab when she met Ronnie Raymond for the first time. It took time but he melted the ice around her heart and made her smile. Something only her daughter was able to do. So after they had been going out for nearly three months she brought him home to meet her daughter. Ronnie had fallen in love with the baby as soon as he met her. It made him understand why Caitlin was so guarded all the time. It was after the little girl was tucked into bed for the night that he asked the question Caitlin was dreading.

"Cait, I know it is none of my business. But where is her father?"

"You're right it is none of your business."

"I like you a lot. I think I might even love you. I just want to know if our relationship will cause problems between you and him."

"I'm sorry Ronnie. No there will never be any problems. He is in prison. I dated him for a couple months. He wanted our relationship to go faster then I was willing to go. He ended up putting something in my drink one night."

Ronnie realizing where this was going stopped her.

"I get what happened. I am sorry. Cait, I am sorry that happened to you. I want you to know I am not like that. You tell me when you are ready to take that step ok?"

"Thanks Ronnie."

It would be a little over a month later that they made love. Five months after that they were engaged. Six months after that Ronnie was gone or so everyone thought when the particle accelerator exploded. The only other person at STAR Labs to ever find out about little Elizabeth had been Harrison Wells. Or well who they thought had been Harrison Wells. But turned out to be a psychotic murdering speedster from the future named Eobard Thawne. Caitlin still had the nanny that her mother had hired a woman only five years older then her named Carolyn. Beth as Caitlin called her daughter was the main thing that kept Caitlin from being over come with grief after losing Ronnie. Luckily the little girl was too young to understand that Ronnie was gone. The next two years were crazy with Barry Allen becoming the Flash. Luckily when Zoom kidnapped her little Beth had been away visiting with Caitlin's mother. Then when Caitlin developed her powers she had sent Carolyn with Beth to her mother. She wanted her little girl to be safe. Once Savitar had been defeated Caitlin left Central City to pull her life back together. Now she was back and Barry was out of the speedforce. He had been free for a week. Two days ago Beth came home. Caitlin smiled at her five year old daughter who had grown so much in the year away. She was drinking a cup of tea watching her daughter play when there was a knock on the door. Then she heard his voice.

"Cait, we need to talk."

Sighing she knew he wasn't going to go away.

"Just a minute."

Caitlin sent Beth to her room closing the door. She then let him in.

"Hey Barry."
